You must definitely play Mario Strikers Charged for the Wii. Out of the 3 currently, it is the best, and most awestrucking one of them all. I recommend that one for everyone.
Yeah, it’s the issue of a single player up against four other "players". While you are in the middle of switching characters, the other team controlling theirs all at the same time will just tackle you.
Okay, good to know I'm not alone on this and I'm not just terrible. Or maybe I am. I've been struggling in the Galaxy cups for a whole day now, I can't get past the first game most times without losing terribly. Every time I pass, I get tackled or hit with an item. The second I get the ball, same thing. I'm not sure what to do to change my strategy to even have a chance here
Yeah, the CPU is ALWAYS gonna play unfairly. It's algorithm-based. And if written in the algorithm is something along the lines "react to the player", it will have inhumanly perfect reaction times and placement to "seem difficult". When in reality, it's just BS. These games' best experience for the actual game is going to come from an online game with someone at a similar skill level as you. All in all, CPUs will never be good practice for online games. Sports, shooters, any game that has a multiplayer aspect is going to be MUCH different from the single player experience. No one should feel like they are bad if they can't beat an unrealistically playing AI, so play on Normal and never got tackled out of turn, or play on hard get F'd. Those are the only single player options of (especially Nintendo) sports titles.
The experience between playing against a human vs an A.I is always going to be different. You just have to keep that in mind and adjust. And that goes for a lot of games you play.
I think Wario can actually eat more than Kirby. Wario can eat a motor cycle while Kirby got nothing on car or a fridge. Maybe Wario could beat Kirby in a fight. His power has been under estimated LOL
Haha I noticed that and was cracking up how so many characters technically cheat by using hands. Still such a good game getting a lot of flakk. Annoying on hard and online but satisfying when you get a goal or stop a hyper strike.

In the Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games, every event she is featured in is either something like rhythmic gymnastics, figure skating, or synchronized swimming, all of which were in the 2008 vancouver winter games, 2012 london olympic games, and most recently the floor routine in the tokyo olympic games as part of the opening cinematic cutscenes for each video game entry. If you play as Peach for each of those events, she is capable of doing forms and moves that require lots of skill and flexibility. In the tokyo olympic games as part of the floor routine, she does a side leg hold, also known as a bow and arrow, and keeps her leg perfectly straight, the game even going as far as showing that Daisy is less flexible than Peach when you play as her. So yeah, character lore.
Basically when it comes to technique or something requires precise movement, Peach is top tier. I noticed that in tennis games she always has high stats in technique so that's how I knew.

Well sadly its not the best strikers game (still good though) Charged was way better, and had more content, unfortunately Nintendo didn't pull off the big one this time...
Certainly a great game, it has a strong foundation. But there's not much more to do than grind for gear or do cup battles. It's not much more than that, which is a shame. Clubs do exist, but you really need to go out of your way to truly compete with that.
I returned my copy. The game is fun but there is nothing to play apart from online battles where it’s always been a boring 1 v 3-4 experience. Shame man
If you keep hitting the goalie while he's knocked down it means you're just hitting the shoot button and not actually aiming the shot. Hold a direction immediately after hitting the button to do so.(Of course if you charge the shot you can aim while charging).
@@spidermonkey5662 There where times he picked up the rebound twice with the same character. You don't have to charge the aim the shot. It's like B reversing a move in Smash bros.
This is wrong, but only if you do a normal shot. Tap the button, then tilt the stick to make your character aim. I had trouble with this in the tutorial, until futbot told me I had to tilt after tapping A.
Absolutely loving this. Anyone else think this series has such different vibes from the rest? That metal music, the aesthetics, watching the characters slap each other around. The Boom Boom freaking out like a psychopathic mad-lad? It's like the closest thing we got to a badass 'adult' experience in the Mario franchise. It's like a tamer Blood Bowl. It gave me that same feeling when Bowser's Fury came out.
My favorite gear load out so far: muscle helmet, muscle gloves, Turbo Chest piece, and Cannon shoes! The results are…interesting to say the least. Having a Rosalina that can still score mad points, but then can also turn around and annihilate a CPU Bowser via a maxed tackle is perhaps the most broken and OP thing I have ever seen!
Rosalina may be a princess, but she's no "dainty little" princess. She's nearly three Marios tall, and even mechanically speaking her strength is comparable to that of Bowser and DK. She's always been the heavy option for those who want to play as the princess.
She's also more then a princess. She's a literal goddess. She's basically the strongest in the cast, but she holds back a lot to make things fair probably (also to avoid murdering everyone in the stadium by accident).
People assume she's some sort of cosmic diety at the very least because of her numerous powers and seemingly unlimited life span. It's not for "no reason." And before you bring it up, yes I'm aware that she was a human who was born in the Mushroom Kingdom with a mom and everything but a fictional god can be made any which way you want.
@@shyguyrocks1 Ah yes because being able to survive a big bang. Being fast enough to save Mario who was in the center of a black hole about to die in Miliseconds and reconstructing the entire Universe Alien-X style is so fucking normal. I mean Wario can do that with a fart (??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????) PS: It IS sarcasm. Fucker
I’m glad it got a successor, but if I am to note anything missing from Charged is the impact of the game and the speed. Charged was animated and styled in a way that was so much more fun than this game, all the animations for things like tackling and item use or even just standing in front of the kicker as he wails a metal ball at Mach ten into your forehead such that you go flying into the goal box, all had a ton more impact to them. Now they kinda made you just slap them into the ground or something and they ate it like a normal person would instead of a rabid human sized more rocketing a third of the way across the screen to headbutt you and when it hit your character the game made it feel like they just intercepted an ICBM to the intestinal tract. Same thing with supers, as using your captains super strike in this new one slows down time, making it less crazy as you try to time it right; but that didn’t happen in the old one so it was more like you trying to time your meter right as 4 ketamine apes bloodlust turns to maximum trying to get past your teammates in order to vehicular manslaughter you. Ontop of this, they made the supers themselves more cinematic than crazy. In Strikers Charged, all normal characters had their own charged abilities like catching the ball on fire by kicking it hard enough so the goalie can’t catch the ball and can only swat it away, or dry bones literally being able to teleport with the ball without using his electrified ball super just casually (all characters had a secondary ability when they had the ball). However, captains would charge and then cinematically fly into the sky like this game, but they would hit the ball and it would split into a bajillion balls with a number dependent on how well you timed the meter. Instead of being a cool kick with a bunch of soccer balls and then the goalie may or may not auto catch it like a normal kick, the opponent would have to go into a first person view as the goalie, and the balls would fly across the screen with a speed (and rate of fire) dependent on how well you rolled just like the number, also turning captain supers into both a mad scramble to tackle them before they get it, and then a mad scramble to destroy all the balls before your opponent scored 6 points on you in one burst attack. So tldr; they animated it and made some game balance choices so that the game no longer feels as chaotic and the animations no longer feel as impactful, which is disappointing. Probably would still buy it though, as it still looks like a quality game of course.
Oh yeah, and they also let you tackle the goalie it looked like, which is a poor design choice I hope they change (as with friends, one can attack the goalie and the other can kick it in pretty easily), but I could be wrong with what I’m seeing. In Charged if you got too close to the goalie box he literally charge you, and if you had the audacity to tackle him you would literally bounce off him like you tackled a wall lol. Hell, if you had the balls to even step slightly inside the goalie box he would drop kick you into the electric fence and steal the ball from you.
I wish they game mario and peach more personality in this game, so many characters in this game are very lively, but not those two, they are basically just the same as they normally are I mean, peach is literally just gymnastics in this game, and mario is basic on this
I always liked to think that Mario is chill and happy all the time except when it comes to sports because he gets mad into it because he is very competitive, but sadly that's not the reality.
Honestly her sticking to the gymnastic and flowy approach in this is more personality in game than I’ve seen anywhere else for her, save for that old Nintendo power comic where she was actively trying to escape and fight off bowser on her own accord while Mario and Luigi were trying to save her. It clearly shows that she’s a surprisingly competent athlete with a passion for pageantry, and I do honestly like it in comparison to feeling like it’s just “I’m literally here to just stand and wait and go make cake”. The other recent change up would be in Odyssey where she decides to go off on her own adventure traveling the world after the game. I’ll agree that this is very little, but I appreciate that these little additions are there at all. It’s a nice change of pace and they’re slowly getting me to actually like Peach now
Eh, Peachs losing animation gives her more personality than Rosalina in this game. Unlike in previous Strikers she calms herself down instead of throwing a tamper tandrum. She's like "No, Im better than this."
0:35 To answer your question, play through most of the training lessons and do the practice match to get 800 free coins(doesn’t matter if you win or lose you’ll still get the coins).
You have to understand our ape brains liking the numbers to go up. I find watching a game when for an hour people just kick the ball one to another without any goals boring but this soccer gameplay made it so much more interesting because of how quick and snappy it is, the 2-points score mechanic is more exciting as well And yes, I have a lot of patience (I'm an Animal Crossing and Pokemon player) but for sports? Nah, it has to be packed with action to interest me
Both the princesses need a nerf, for some reason my boom booms don't know how to block anything they throw out no matter how charged the kick is. I'm coping
or better, give boom boom better ai, I don't have the game myself, but from gameplay I've seen boom boom either has the defence of an iron wall or a sheet of paper with no in between
For entering you have to do both A's in blue when charging your shoot, if you don't is less chance to enter, sometimes yes but from orange to less is probably not... Also they can push you when charging. Once you win all cups, you unlock galactic mode, and they're harder, already since the beginning with accessories for stronger characters, or technique, or speed... And they throw you more objects, is way harder.

"as soon as my boom boom falls on the floor"
yeah we've all been there once or twice i'm sure
Man I gotta say, you are one of the most underrated youtubers I have found recently, great content every video!
NGL this game is pretty darn fun. It's the first Strikers game I've played, too.
I feel like Battle League can be a blast to play once you get past the STEEP learning curve. Felt like the og Strikers and Charged didn't have that steep of a learning curve so you could have fun right from the get go
Well sadly its not the best strikers game (still good though)
Charged was way better, and had more content, unfortunately Nintendo didn't pull off the big one this time...
Certainly a great game, it has a strong foundation. But there's not much more to do than grind for gear or do cup battles. It's not much more than that, which is a shame. Clubs do exist, but you really need to go out of your way to truly compete with that.

7:47 I’m cringing more at the damn goalie than anything
Peach a gymnast? Have you played Mario and Sonic at the Olympics? They’re all gymnasts
I broke when Wario said OH YEAH on his kick uses his booty.
I like how he completely ignored the last match and just ended the video
that's a lie I'm furious
The gollies in this game are related to Scott Sterling
Wario nuking a soccer match to win sounds very in character for him
3:40 obviously you've never played Mario&Sonic at the 2012 Olympic games where Peach WAS a gymnist
The Wii Wario game was REALLY good, it didn't just have great gameplay the graphics were beautiful, definitely one you should play on the channel.
Dude, this was totally me. Got slapped!
This is really fun to watch!
A tip: If you get all perfects in your superstrike (all blues), boomboom will die.
Have not seen that at all
I think he means that a perfect hyper strike is unblockable. Which means BoomBoom is toast everytime.
8:39
Boom boom's expression totally matches Choctopus' question.
My man Bowser looking swaggy.
My advice: Get more coins in cups so you can get gear to upgrade stats. Also try having each of your teammates have specific strengths.
@Taelin Cusic yo same! Wario on my team has good shooting but an all-rounder basically. Waluigi on my team has really good technique too!

Choco: Since when is Peach a gymnast?
Me: Have not played the Olympic Games?
I returned my copy. The game is fun but there is nothing to play apart from online battles where it’s always been a boring 1 v 3-4 experience. Shame man
I agree. This was a lackluster experience for real. Very sub par when compared to Tennis and Golf on switch. Less characters, content, and creativity.
The most unrealistic thing about this video is that you would call Rosalina dainty
8:13 SCOTT STERLING!!!!
Choc: "I feel like the New York Rangers"

If you keep hitting the goalie while he's knocked down it means you're just hitting the shoot button and not actually aiming the shot. Hold a direction immediately after hitting the button to do so.(Of course if you charge the shot you can aim while charging).
That's the problem you don't have time to really aim for the goal without getting tackle
@@spidermonkey5662 There where times he picked up the rebound twice with the same character. You don't have to charge the aim the shot. It's like B reversing a move in Smash bros.
@@scarffoxandfriends9401 oh ok thx for the tip
This is wrong, but only if you do a normal shot. Tap the button, then tilt the stick to make your character aim. I had trouble with this in the tutorial, until futbot told me I had to tilt after tapping A.
@@hickknight thanks, guess my B-Reverse comparison in the replies was more accurate then
"Since when is Peach a gymnast?!"
London 2012 Olympics.
9:49 AI continues to cheat by hitting the superstrike on pretty much the first frame on the blue (Double blue is unblockable)
Yoshi getting abused for 10 minutes Straight for content
My favorite gear load out so far: muscle helmet, muscle gloves, Turbo Chest piece, and Cannon shoes!
The results are…interesting to say the least. Having a Rosalina that can still score mad points, but then can also turn around and annihilate a CPU Bowser via a maxed tackle is perhaps the most broken and OP thing I have ever seen!
3:42 since Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games
that goalie was scott stirling
Rosalina may be a princess, but she's no "dainty little" princess. She's nearly three Marios tall, and even mechanically speaking her strength is comparable to that of Bowser and DK. She's always been the heavy option for those who want to play as the princess.
She's also more then a princess. She's a literal goddess. She's basically the strongest in the cast, but she holds back a lot to make things fair probably (also to avoid murdering everyone in the stadium by accident).
@@lucasmartinez5703
This is literally not confirmed lmao
People just assume this for like no reason.
I mean Wario can do that with a fart (??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????)
PS: It IS sarcasm. Fucker

the galactic mode is where my mario strikers battle league adventure ended.
Why are my AI teammeats always running away from the ball. To the point that it’s ridiculous.

Hockey: Am I a joke to you?
I wish they game mario and peach more personality in this game, so many characters in this game are very lively, but not those two, they are basically just the same as they normally are
I mean, peach is literally just gymnastics in this game, and mario is basic on this
I always liked to think that Mario is chill and happy all the time except when it comes to sports because he gets mad into it because he is very competitive, but sadly that's not the reality.
It’s a nice change of pace and they’re slowly getting me to actually like Peach now
I wish anyone in this game displayed the aggressive personality they had in Strikers Charged. This whole game feels a bit too...."Nice" for Strikers.

This might be my favorite thumbnail of yours
3:53 God Wario's /SS is so POWERFUL
Goalie really got dumb down kritter would've blocked like 75% of those shots
6:05 only that it is not 8 player. It's somehow max 4 player. 2 v 2 are the most the game can handle. Classic Nintendo
that goalie in the first game solos 💀💀
This was great! FYI 2 blues on a hyper strike is unblockable otherwise it’s chance with better odds the more blue/orange you have.
“I feel like the New York rangers “
Not liking soccer because it's 'low scoring' never made sense to me.
It’s also full of theatrics.
You have to understand our ape brains liking the numbers to go up. I find watching a game when for an hour people just kick the ball one to another without any goals boring but this soccer gameplay made it so much more interesting because of how quick and snappy it is, the 2-points score mechanic is more exciting as well
And yes, I have a lot of patience (I'm an Animal Crossing and Pokemon player) but for sports? Nah, it has to be packed with action to interest me
Both the princesses need a nerf, for some reason my boom booms don't know how to block anything they throw out no matter how charged the kick is.
I'm coping
or better, give boom boom better ai, I don't have the game myself, but from gameplay I've seen boom boom either has the defence of an iron wall or a sheet of paper with no in between

would love to see more Strikers content! This was great!
I love that this is so Inazuma Eleven
Technique is OP in this game, buy gear to raise it, makes it easier to make hyper strikes.
