I think you should talk to Marinette's friends in the later seasons they lost their uniqueness it feels like their behavior changes every time to fit the story
Reposting my comment because freedom of speech won't be denied🙆♂: One thing I would've liked to see in the special would've been Shadybug and Claw Noir showing remorse and apologizing to Betterfly for their actions, leaving the impact of their actions unadressed makes the ending scene and their befriending of Betterfly feel slightly awkward and incomplete due to the big elephant in the room that isn't talked about during their interaction.
That might actually be something that happens in the future, Betterfly never held any grudges towards Shadybug and Claw Noir so that might actually be why he never required an apology
Ever since I had seen the special I was wondering “did Shadybug kill the Chloe of her timeline?” And played thought what it would be like for the prime version to find out about this.
The reverse special was 100 percent a blockbuster hit honestly I was pretty worried that this was going to be a trash special like action but it proved my point that it was exactly the opposite plus it was so good to see new characters in miraculous and marinette unified the butterfly miraculous with the ladybug (absolute fire.)
It doesn’t feel too rushed and the whole thing feels pretty compelling… there is the elephant in the room that we have seen squat of the reverse world first hand, but other than that things should be fine.
I agree the new Miraculous special is a masterpiece the only thing I'd wish is 🐞's superhero team would have been there to help them like Rena Rouge🦊, Pigella🐖, Queen 🐝, Carapace🐢, and etc, etc. Also I want to 👀 their power up transformation in action as well that would have made the special super fantabulous 🤩.
I'm going to remention a comment I really liked seeing as the old review had to be taken down that @bronzesparrow8716 made "Marinette's diary exists for the finale where she has to renounce her stewardship of the miraculous and forgets EVERYTHING. The diary is there so she'll remember. Lots of foreshadowing."

@@ACriticalRetrospective Ah, no worries. Sometimes it's easy to forget not everyone has been following the show since it first started airing on Cartoon Network all those years ago. Pretty sure everything but the original pilots and the Day of the Departed special are on Netflix, so you still have a chance to catch up on what you've missed.

This special in a way reminds me of the AUs and fanfic that are created by the community, which if i am to be honest is the only thing really keeping me hooked on this franchise.
My biggest issue with this special are the names. They suck 😂 Especially in the french version, Toxinelle is such a weird name, and I don't get why Esperia was chosen for Butterfly, I guess no pun worked but Idk I loved the special anyway.
I knew someone whom i saw very similar to me Similar live experience somilar way of thinking and acting … but than I saw that this person was the complete opposite of me and my bahvior And it scares me that in a alternate universe there could be a me that did not fight for her life and does not want to do the right instead of hiding and using drugs to escape the problems and living my worst nightmare I fought my whole life for a better life … I wish I could save this person but you have to be the the hero and savior of your own life by doing the right and never stop fighting I would love to see that sequel of shady bug and claw noir it is much more intresting than the love square

I liked this special, the alternative designs of main characters (both civil and superhero) are so much better. It's kinda weird that Supreme (whoever it is) was able to hijack the magical proccess, but that makes them an interesting character and great MacGuffin. The alteregos of main characters seem to be MUCH more intelligent that our normal main characters, too. I'd rather watch them, tbh. And their dynamic is better, as well. I do have kinda problem with how Miraculouses are apparently checking if someone uses them for good or evil and how it does work. It doesn't make sense for me. At least the though sounds weird.
From what can tell it all depends on the phrasing of the transformation phrase. “Daggers out, Blots on, Dark wings rise,” and what not. This rule is… a bit confusing to me but it’s kinda all we got.
@@littlebabyman8494 It'd make sense, *but* in the French (original) version the transformation phrase is one and the same for all Miraculous users (it translates to "transform", I think), so it'd be weird if it was about that (well, there's also the chance I'm wrong about it, lol)

I wonder what it would look like if the Bee, Turtle or Fox were used for evil. Supposedly the “spread my feathers” for the peacock is supposed to be the good phrase, right? I wonder what the evil one is? What’s also funny is that with this rule regular heroes can use the “evil” side of their powers as a last resort which I think is AWESOME!

Fox's phrase would 100% have something to do with lying/manipulating. "Mislead [them]", maybe? I don't remember what the OG phrase was, tho, so it's hard to speculate. As for the Turtle, I have no idea. "Isolate [them]"? Would that work?
@@TheSoulCalledZuzia The fox’s in english is “Let’s pounce” and the Bee’s is “Buzz on”. I forgot the turtle’s in all honesty with how little we see his transformation sequence. Trying to find a suitable “evil” phrase for these is gonna be hard due to the affiliation with hunting being with the dog miraculous and I don’t know how to include stinger into the Bee’s phrase without it sounding awkward.
