The North Face Endurance Challenge in San Francisco was my first ultra a few years ago. After setting a new 50 mile PR in 2013, I am back to run the 50 miler again amongst some of the top names in ultrarunning. Honestly, the race had the most insane list of elites starting compared to any ultra this year - it was pretty awesome! Having had a long season of tough ultras and distance building, I set out to have a blast on the most gorgeous trails surrounded by some of my best trail running friends. Things turned out better than I could've possibly imagined.

Great film, been watching them throughout the year and have started watching your live interview shows with some of Ultra's best runners and found them very interesting and it's great the way they are so open and honest with you and are so laid back when doing them.Really starting to dig the soundtracks as well they really make the films that much more.I hope once you get your injury out the way you can start a cracking 2015 :)

Congratulations!! You are a true inspiration, and you motivated me to get back into running this year after many years off (I bet many runners out there can say the same). First marathons again, then my first 50k this month, and now it's onward to a 24hr ultra in summer 2015. Your videos always seem to ground me when I've lost focus in my training. So congratulations, Ethan, and thanks for sharing your experiences with all of us. No doubt you have changed the lives of so many for the better. We can't wait to see what 2015 has in store for you!

Might have commented before... but... this is the singles piece of self-doubt gone corrected in running out there for 'US' (being "Ethans" - thought still would like to train with him!)... amazing, and I keep coming back to it!

I love your videos! I have been bummed because I was training to run the Imogene Pass Run in Ouray, CO, 17.1 miles next month. But I somehow just managed to strain my leg and I haven't been able to do anything or train. One month away and I'm so nervous, especially with the strict time cut-offs. But your videos definitely give me a bit of hope and get me pumped. I just want to finish! The doubt and fear are my drivers!

2015 northface endurance challenge in Wisconsin the leader was on his way back when I was around mile 20. Some of these guys are on a different planet.
