Long time no see! Thanks for all of the support of the channel. I just made some videos and walked away from this channel but seeing people finding value from this convinced me to come back and give this YT thing another romp. This is a video of tips that I have from my time trying to get jobs and also now that I'm in a leadership role. I don't focus on specific resumes too much partially because between the sectors and agencies to apply to there really isn't a 1 size fits all for how to write or portray info and this will hopefully help you find out what you can use from your experience to fill in the substance of interviews and resumes. The most important part is always going to be to research who you're applying to though! Good luck and hope this helps!

I appreciate it! This video isn’t the most polished but I was just thinking I have to pull the trigger on something to get moving. Glad to be back though.

As someone who just got an associate in environmental science and is looking for work knowing even a little bit more about the resume and interview process is a great help. Thank you.

So I was first interested in something related to Environmental Science/Wildlife Biology but I’ve always wanted a more “boots on the ground” physical work kind of career. I was first interested in Border Patrol and CBP Field of Operations but after contacting a recruiter, it felt like it wasn’t quite for me. Then I came across positions from Parks and Recreation - Ranger/Lifeguard but then now I find out there’s the National Park Service - Park Ranger and then under the US Fish and Wildlife Service there’s “Refuge Law Enforcement” so i’m just like wth i’m all over the place and lost. What’s the difference between all of these positions? Maybe even what’s the difference between “Department” and “Bureau”? they confuse me sometimes, on top of that I hear that some have State jurisdiction and some have Federal so… yeah I’m just so lost can you clarify 😂

Hello! Just wanted to let you know that I find your videos very helpful and down to earth. I hope you make more!
I graduated with a Bachelors in Environmental Science and have been working a few years now in a field I want to get out of. Naturalist Specialist or Rangeland Management sound super interesting to me, but I am unsure how to transition or if I am even qualified. Do you think I would need to go back to school to get a Biology or Rangeland Management Degree? Or can I land an entry level job with what I have? Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
Appreciate the content. You have a sub from me!

Hello, I’ve been watching all of your videos. I just graduated with a bachelors degree in environmental sustainability and I was wondering what you would recommend for finding an environmental job. I’ve been applying since the summer and haven’t gotten any results. How would I get into governmental work? What would you say is the best for someone who has only had one environmental internship and just has experience working at greenhouses/farms?

Hey I want to be anything along the linens of park ranger, forest ranger or game warden but I’m probably going to get an other than honorable discharge for the marines is that something that will ruin my chance at getting any of those jobs?

I don’t 100% know the answer to that and I took a non military route into fed work. I will say that unless that is something you need to disclose most people find those jobs by following the career paths or applying to general public postings. If it is somehow an issue which it really well could be there are private and state alternatives to all federal agencies. The feds always get matched by states on these things and then there’s obviously private interests. Just look up forestry companies (which I could later comment some if you need) and you’ll see there’s tons of well paying options out there.
