Made it and it was delicious! Gracias 🙏🏼!! It was all delightfully cassis and chocolate and tart and sweet at the front and the tequila came in on the back .... I didn’t have reposado so I used herradura Añejo. the cacao seems to really accentuate the vanilla in the tequila (or maybe the cacao also has vanilla??) ... used a honking big clear ice rock as well ... it went down too fast sadly 😂

Ribena is available in the US in most large supermarkets, but you have to search for it. It is not normally with the regular sodas. It is normally in the British section. Americans don't typically do concentrated fruit drinks like Ribena and Robinsons

There are trays like “Tru Cube” made specifically for clear ice that save you the time of using a cooler and cutting it yourself. Make, bag and safe. Worst case you can see if there’s a company in your area that makes and delivers👍🏽

Hmmm, looks worth trying! Steve, I see you have Angostura 3year old white rum in the back bar - how difficult is it to get a nice light Caribbean rum at the moment! I have tried about 6 types and the Angostura (Trinidad and Tobago) makes a lovely Daiquiri, but most of the other brands aren’t smooth enough.

Pro-tip: go to liquor stores that drunks frequent in gentrifying neighborhoods particularly. Often those liquor stores have the tiny bottles of alcohol near the cashier. I have been able to buy tiny bottles of Fernet Branca, Pamplemousse, Benedictine, Chartreuse etc that way. Once I know I like a liquor I can invest in the larger bottle.
