Watched 3 guys do battle with one of these just this afternoon. Fkn hilarious. I definitely learned some new swear words I've never heard before. Hours of effort and the final result - tire went flat again after they pumped it. YAY!
I just changed my tire today, with the help of this video. I drove my scooter for around 2000 miles, so the scooter is more "used" than the one in the video. Took me around 4 hours, here are some comments: - home Depot apparently does not have security trox screwdrivers. So you probably have to order them online. - unplugging the three colored cables was a huge mess. One went really well, for the other two I had to break the mount. - removing the tire was even messier. My original tire exploded, so everything was sticky. Sturdy tools help, but ultimately you need brute force. - I put non-phenomic solid rubber tires on it, which was the worst part. They have to boil and then you either wear gloves and don't have sufficient feeling, or you burn your hands and knees. Again, iron bike tools help, but force is required as well. So ultimately, dissembling the tire from the frame is the easiest part (which is why I start to understand why they don't care about this too much). It's doable, but takes long and requires good tools and strength. The wheel has a bunch of scratches now though....
What have you noticed is the difference in terms of ride quality between the non-pneumatic (solid) tires that you put on verses the pneumatic tires that the scooter originally came with?
Honestly, not a big difference. Maybe a bit bumpier, but certainly doable. You have to watch out for the electrical contacts (i.e. make sure they are clean and tight together). After I put them together, everything vibrated to a degree that my controller died. I had to go to a shop and had my controller replaced. Since then, it's running flawlessly though (so in my opinion, what you read on Reddit about solid tires is wrong - if you attach them properly, they work fine). To sum up: the ride experience is similar, even a bit faster, slightly bumpier, but watch out for the contacts/connectors.
Yo this made it way easier. Bought 2 extra clamps to help hold the new tire in place while flipping the bead round the rim. The last time i tried changing it i had to physically rip the tire apart to pull it off in gross sticky bits. This time i changed it in like 40 min including the dissassembling and reassembling of the scooter. Holy shit. Thank you
How did you get the beads to seat in the edge of the rim? My new tire is in the rim but when I pump air into it with a compressor it doesn’t pop into place like in the video
Saw this video then found a nearby scooter shop to do it. Crazy how I’m supposed to buy all those tools to fix a scooter. So happy I had a shop near me.
really, this is the best how-to for changing the rear tyre and it tells you to waste your time opening up the whole scooter to unplug the motor. I got the old tyre off and the new one on easily with the motor on the short cord still connected to the scooter. Easily. The extra care and time needed to avoid damage to that cable is negligible. A plumber's wrench, a cable tie, some blocks of wood and some tyre irons were all that was needed. Getting the new tyre onto the bead was the most time-consuming part of the job tbh.
it makes sense if you think about it. you probably have experience changing tires. this is meant for beginners and it becomes MUCH EASIER to work on a tire if its removed.... that is what is important
Thank you for the trick with the clamps. I had an incredibly stubborn tire that I was unable to get back onto the rim with my bicycle tire levers and brute force. I was ready to give up but the clamps saved the day.
Omg. It's easier to change truck tyres than G30s lol. Thanks for the great videos. I had a puncture yesterday. After 2800 km.. Now I have to find these tools.. But what do you think about the hard solid tires? The ones that don't puncture
Yeah, I went trough trying to just replace ventile. That's easy, but getting the tire back on is even worse than off. With the truck I can at east find an expert for repairs in every second corner.
i had a puncture after 50km, had the scooter for 3 weeks. i cant believe it. Now i'm faced with this huge freakin problem. looks like theres no way to change a tube without pulling through the motor wiring, what a bitch. might as well just put solid tire on it while im at it or tubeless. Cant believe i got this pinch flat. it must have been poorly installed valve placement at factory and got pinched or motor heat blew the hole, its right above where the valve is on the rim. i can just imagine this brilliant engineering where a straight valve is basically tilted to come out on the side of the rim, this would mean as it inflates the edge of the valve patch will get crushed into the rim, vs flat straight up on a reg bike rim. Should have gone for the solid tire scooter, my instinct was right...
@@soneeeee4440 scooters are just a waste. Extremely complicated and expensive to fix for what they are able to do. I can ride a bicycle on flat ground INDEFINITELY at 30 km/h. No range limit. Flat tire? No problem. I can fix it on the spot in 10 minutes. Bicycle shops? Everywhere. No battery or electric motor's to break. I would never recommend anyone buy a scooter. Bicycle or if you want it assisted get an e-bike.
Segway are you listening? My son who rides this model. Has an impairment and struggles with maintenance. Put clear Labels on the steering column saying "tire pressure check twice a month 55LB) and with this model G30P & include a schrader valve extension and tire gauge. Charge $15 more and save unnecessary tire problems. People get frustrated with a tire change, and will buy another brand.
I was going to buy this scooter, thanks for this video i rather walk year to my work and back home (20km) than start changing tire to this freaking nightmare!
I have a problem with my scooter is the same Segway Ninebot G30 max. My blue, brow, yellow cables actually is different i have to screw them off and back on to reconnect them back on the controller with an allen key.
Took me 6 Hrs to get the old tyre off, clean the rim since the self repairing punture gel spred all over. Had to cut off the tyre since it was already damaged. The cleaning took me another 3-4Hrs with turpentine. What a messy way to start your weeken. Had to get extra tools to get the new tyre on. Haven‘t done that, since I am really pissed off with the whole experience. Doing this only for my son, else throw the scooter in the trash!
Ok i did this process for the first time using the CST tire, exact replacement since scooter unboxed. This is an exercise in overcoming adversity .. I learned i have to follow these video instructions steps exactly. I mean Exactly. Especially the clamps.. Type "C" old fashioned steel Clamps with screw type lever do not work. I'm in Arizona. The lever type clamps in the video with wider clamping footprint worked for me. I used 300lb dewalt plastic pistol grip clamps. Do not cheap out on this. But must be the similar type he used in video. For my handtool ratchet screwdriver the T15 security bit is at ACE hardware and also the 2.5mm bit. Amazon for Dr Roc tire spoons are wonderful, their tire spoon leverage kit includes rim protectors and extra short rubber tire valves as a bonus . No damage to rim using these tools, and they have good grips. Dishsoap & water mix 20%/80% necessary. Cleanup of the rim removing black tar self sealant I used WD40 Industrial De-greaser, it easily removed the black TAR . Wore protective chemical resistant gloves most of the time. I used a portable work table with removable legs. Husky brand..the type you can saw wood on then store easily..but very sturdy. Must buy a schrader air valve extension at least 2 inches or more...do not use power drills. Use only hand tools like ratcheting screw driver. Power tools can damage threads & screws for sure. This is a excellent video if you follow the steps. I used no tire tube. I don't do this for a living if I had to do this again it will probably take me 4-5 hours if I already had the tools necessary. I did have a helper my son age 24. Im age 61 yrs old. You might attempt this re-tire job without disconnecting wires to see how it goes. Don't put stress /tension on those wires or you will "break" a connector, then you are screwed. Wile working on the table, the heavy tire & rim fell off of my table a few times. I had planned for this accidental drop of the wheel and placed an upside down small box to "catch" the tire /wheel if it did fall off the table. So fortunately the empty box did cushion the fall. If I had left the wires connected, it may have broken a wire as that tire & rim are heavy. These are my own opinions & experience of having done this ONE time and after watching MoovMoov video. After finishing, no scratches on my rim. So the tire spoons did not damage them. I also fix my own Toyota & Lexus vehicles. Last Notes: I had difficulty getting tire beads to seat. I used a mix of dish soap and water. It took me removing the schrader valve stem, and a strong quick blast of air using an air compressor with a 5 gallon tank. The air valve was a air blast adapter with a 5 inch air tube adapter, the air tube was very narrow and fit down in the hole of the schrader valve (removed valve stem). I acquired that at Harbor Freight. Some people might tighten a rope or strap around the tire circumference & squeeze it with a stick or long screw driver.
What got the black gooey sealant off the best for me was the sealant itself. Get a glob of the sealant to stick to a wooden tongue depressor. As you pull it away and it stretches, wrap it around the tongue depressor. Once you have a glob on the end of the stick just repeat everywhere there is sealant. I wiped the the small amounts that remained with Goo Gone.
So glad I saw this video ( I was super close to buying this shiatttt scooter) imagine of you are going to work and this shiatttt happens lol ( you don’t have all these tools with you ) what if it’s raining outside ( the internal components get fuakkked up ) lol
Amazing video production and on top of that how to skills. 2 questions for anyone who can answer ……1) I bought an auctioned off scooter which was donated by police probably from being impounded to long. The red and black wire on rear wheel are cut ….why would they need to do this ? 2) the rear tire is possibly buckled, is that even possible with this tyre ?
After mounting the tire, it wouldn't inflate. I even tried using a starting fluid and fire to seat the bead and it still didn't work? Do you have any ideas I could try?
Thanks for this video, I actually was using an airless tire but other than that difference the video was very helpfull.. my connectors were very stiff and ended up breaking into a million pieces so I have to re do all the connections.
My Yellow cable fused together at the connection because ofheat. I'm gonna have to chop it and soldier it back together. I'm not sure how to replace the connector. 🤷
Segway should have recessed the screws on the bottom. Anyone that has bottomed out has scraped the screws. I had to hammer the t 15 into half of them and drill one out. One of my wires would not come apart. The plastic was melted onto the medal at he connection. Getting the tires off and onto the rim was one of the most difficult things I have done in years. Of course I did not go out and buy the levers. I would rather buy a couple of happy hour beers, I used large Pry screwdrivers and they got it done .......eventually. bwaa ha ha, I found this video very helpful
It’s actually pretty simple. I’d recommend replacing the torque bolts that hold the big under base battery cover with m4 Allen heads. The hardest bit is getting the tire to “snap” into the bead of the rim. Lubricate it then blow it up to about 80psi and it might “snap”. I had to go to 100psi which I’m sure is quite dangerous. But basically if you’ve ever changed a bike tire this is pretty simple
Hi there so can you give me a explanation to like how to fix my tires I don’t know if it the same how you did it in the video but while when I was using my scooter today driving it not nomaling for some how it turn off and when I check it I don’t know what was wrong with it but when I check the rear wheel it was a little ripped and it was heating so like can you please tell me what wrong with it Becuase i don’t know that much about scooter my scooter is a ninebot max g2 thank you 🙏
This is not as easy as he makes it. I didnt have his tool so I used a flathead screwdriver. The wheel didnt set in place when I pumped air into it, so I took it back off and put some white lithium grease on the rim and tried again and it worked. Took me 2 days and alot of mess. But it worked. God bless.
Mines not falling into place either. Air is just escaping but i feel like i need the tire to gon into the inner rim if that makes sense... I really dont want to take the tire back off, but where did you put the grease and did you do anything special? A lot? A little?
Good video , thanks for the warranty tip. NOW my question is : What is the factory Flat Rate time on changing the tire ? What time should a shop charge to to the rear AND front tire - or excuse me ' TYRE" for you Limey's .
when I was disassembling the rear wheel, I had to disconnect it from the battery and I found that all 3 connectors were probably overheated and no longer rubberized, but hard burnt plastic that fell apart, the connectors remained, but here there was obviously some problem with overheating, because you can feel it smell! Does anyone have a link to send me where I could order those connectors!?
About to buy this today then scooter gods sent me to this video. I am now back to square one in finding the best scooter for my daily commute. 😂 any suggestion? I need long😢 range and speed with budget of not more than 1.2K
I've had mine for almost a year. At least 10 miles a day back and fourth to work. Tire just went out. I love the G30P, I don't think you'll be disappointed if you buy it. You can always pay a shop to change the tire if need be.
definitely don't buy this scooter! it's overpriced compared to more powerful stuff around these days. It really is a slow turtle with a high price tag. Sometimes I don't even lock mine up in public because I don't care if it gets stolen. It has a bad back tire which is why I am here, the battery is starting to die after 4000+km usage. No suspension, dorky looking, only does 30km/hr on flat until it gets below 80% battery then it starts slowing you down to 25km/hr, super boring.
It's a pretty decent scooter, much more durable than Hiboy that my friend has, but changing rear tire is a nightmare! Mine had wires covered in some hard foam, so you can't disconnect them and inside the tire was tar (sealant?), so it gets really messy. Buying the entire assembly or using repair shop seems the only option
Thanks for the instructions, but my experience replacing rear tires on Ninebot Max G30P bought in the US in 2022 was quite different. The wire connectors to unattach the wheel were covered in some hard foam, so you could only break and crack them and your tire inside looked very clean while my had a lot of tar in it, presumably a sealant, so it all got super messy after disassembly. I now think I should buy the entire rear wheel assembly if I'm only able to disconnect the wires without ruining the connectors. May need to use tape to hold them together after the installation
The rear wheel assembly? That includes a hub motor. That's a major part of the scooter. Needing to replace an entire wheel/ motor assembly because replacing the tire is just too gawdamn idiotically complicated is a major design flaw. What, people are supposed to drive a hundred miles to a scooter repair shop? Luckily we got ours for basically free. I would never pay for something this complicated to repair for what it's functionality is. I can ride a bicycle faster than the top speed on the G30P. 18 km/h? I can maintain 20 mph on flat ground on a bicycle that is 4X cheaper to buy and that I can fix a tire on myself in 10 minutes with nothing but a tire lever and patch kit that cost 5$ together. And if anything is beyond my ability to repair there is a bike shop on every street corner basically. Scooters are dumb as hell. Someone really wants the e-mobility; buy an e-bike. If the battery fails it just become a bicycle...and replacing the tire won't be a nightmare.
I just changed the rear wheel tyre. You know what ? I don’t think that thing ever had a puncture. I don’t see it. There’s so much tar inside that wheel and the rubber is so thick I just don’t see it happening. I think the tubeless tyre let go one side of the rim that’s all. Go to the garage, use a high pressure air line that fits the valve properly and blow the thing back up again. Those tubeless tyres need a high flow of air immediately to seal. Give it a go first, don’t use a foot pump. Unknown to me I think the air pressure dropped too low and the seal broke.
I wish I had read this comment before, been trying to use a foot pump for weeks and the sealant started leaking and I’m now wondering if it has a puncture or no. Don’t think NYC potholes help keeping the air inside of it either.
@@moovmoov.globalPlease I also need this link i used tires from amazon the Ybang a few other brands and they would never sit correctly to fill with air and sit on rim
4:31 The fourth cable can't be unplugged that easily... Doing this as we speak and not a single step has gone as smoothly as you said all my battery cover screws are flat head compatible now and I get to the wires thinking it'll be easy now but no they're covered in some gluey resiny shit that caused the yellow wires joiner body to shatter and it still won't unplug and nor will the other 2 about to launch this fucker out a window... It's lucky I live on the ground floor so it would have no pazzazz if I did so rendering the act pointless.
I have done exactly everything that shows in this video but the tire won’t fit in its place and the air I try to pump in doesn’t stay in it just escapes from the sides I’m about to go crazy man what I’m I doing wrong
Great video. Seems like a 20 minute job. I saw some other comments about throwing the scooter away because this seems to difficult or too time consuming 😂 If anyone has experience changing out pit bike tires (10 - 14 inch), you know what I mean. This is a walk in the park when compared. As for the cover screws, just take one down to your local hardware store and find a hex/allen equivalent. I've slowly started changing all the screws out on all 4 of scooters.
Had bought some winter tires for this, after seeing this i dont know that its even worth the trouble. Its almost like they didnt want anyone to do repairs themselves lol. Ill change the front tire and thatll be good enough
i have to same issue cant get it to fill with air and when i could it dident seat properly. i think its because i got that Ybang tire on amazon instead of getting the OG from segway
Sorry I can't offer any help but I speak from experience when I say this is HARD. Like difficult beyond reason. I somehow ruined a tire trying to get it on, 4 different people tried after me and nothing. So I bought a new tire and let a friend who's a pretty good mechanic try. He managed to get it on and inflated but told me "I'll never do this again" This was the 1st time I've heard him say something was too hard for him to ever want to attempt it again.
The plastic of mine had fused together. I had to cut them apart. This whole repair process has been an absolute nightmare. I now hold a lifelong grudge against these scooters.
I kindly suggest to throw this scooter into recycle bin and look for a scooter having split rim and detachable fork. The tools required to replace this tyre are unbelievable! Having a vehicle that it's tyre punctures like a bicycle and repaired like a car is a nightmare.
The easiest solution is just buy a whole new tire pre-installed on the motor assembly for about $150. Yeah it's around $100 more than just buying the tire but unfortunately that's what I'm willing to pay with the extra effort and time to install a new tire.
HUGE FLAW WITH THIS VIDEO IS that he is wearing a nice white shirt XD aint no way thats coming out white if im the one changing a tire XD good video! another thing that works is channel locks / vice grips and ZIP TIES TOO if needed. for going directly around the tire once you squeeze it smaller or even around the handles of the channel locks (pliers) to keep them clamped down.
It isn't hard to change with right technique. But 8/10 videos shows people struggle with the tyre and do it wrong. hehe of course other people gonna try do the same.
It would seem that segway has elected to encourage users to send the scooter in for repair based on the circuits not being made to disconnect anymore :/ I literally toon the tire off while fully connected to the scooter lol
This video is so fake. The tire was probably cooked for 30 min before the video was shot. No way a new tire is that flexible. You will agree with me once you try to put on a new tire on a max g30.
100% true ain’t no way a new tire will bend like that I been trying to fix this shit for two weeks nothing will work I have spend so much time and money nothing works the tire won’t fit in it’s place at all the air just keep escaping
@@PapaHealthygamer I have found the perfect solution for me, now tire change only takes 5 to 30 min. You NEED 3x Heavy Duty Clamp (red/black like he is using in this video) and work yourself from bottom to the top like shown @16:00. After the tire is on spray some soapy water on the sides and start pumping it up. You will see where the air is escaping on the side through the bubbles. Take a little spoon. Use it as a tyer lever for the sides. Just stick it where the air is escaping push the tire upwards and pull it back to you. So the tire will close the gap where the air is leaking. Start pumping it up again and check if air is leaking, repeat with spoon to close gaps.
@@KurokamiNajimi yes im 100% sure, they probably cook the tire for 30 min to show how easy it is, so viewers wont be scared away but in reality it is really difficult to put on a tire if you dont have experience with it. I switched already 5 tires, and 3 were original tires and they never bend or were that gelly like in this video shown.

How does a simple tire repair become an electrical engineering task? Thank you for the video! 😊
Because it’s attached to the motor you can even buy the tire pre installed on the motor
Wow! Good job. I changed the tire on my Xiaomi M365 without those clamps. Took me about 3 hours while swearing the whole time.

Don't forget to wear your nicest white sweater when replacing your tires!
He makes it so easy.
One of the best how to videos I've ever come across. Thank you sir
really, this is the best how-to for changing the rear tyre and it tells you to waste your time opening up the whole scooter to unplug the motor.
I removed the tire. Screw bullshit "void warranty stickers" that are placed over the screws.. Segway has no authorized repair places in Arizona.
Thank you for the trick with the clamps. I had an incredibly stubborn tire that I was unable to get back onto the rim with my bicycle tire levers and brute force. I was ready to give up but the clamps saved the day.
If I would have seen this video sooner, I wouldn't have bought the scooter.
I must say watching this video had me worry but if you have all the tools you need then it's really easy
The technical and video editing quality of this video are superlative. Using those 2 clamps is like having King Kong helping you. Amazing!!
You don't need to disconnect the wheel cable. after you remove the wheel from the axle, flip it onto the axle horizontally with the cable down.
Wow you covered everything. Great job.
Should have gone for the solid tire scooter, my instinct was right...
how did your tube survive 2800 km, were you inflating every day?
I just talk to someone about the solid tire they don't do them because they are hard to put on
@@soneeeee4440 scooters are just a waste.
Imagine getting a flat on your car and having to take the engine out just to change it.
Where did you get the golden valve extender? because the standard one is too short to fit in a regular air pump
I was going to buy this scooter, thanks for this video i rather walk year to my work and back home (20km) than start changing tire to this freaking nightmare!
I replaced my tire and this video is very helpful, but had to go to tire discount to use the air pump for high pressure etc
This was hugely helpful, many thanks!
Helped with my Daxys bandicoot. What a pain for a rear tyre change
Just wanted to celebrate you for making this video. (:
Thank you very very very very much for your comment! 💚❤️💚 Have a nice day ☀️
TYSM!.., saved me a lot of time, effort and money
Took me 15min to clean with gasoline and the gel was all over the tire inside and outside …
The Torx for the bottom is a T15 Security Torx, not a standard. Just FYI
Yeah you’re right I bought the one without a hole😢😂
YOU ARE A LEGEND 👏
The air valve was a air blast adapter with a 5 inch air tube adapter, the air tube was very narrow and
fit down in the hole of the schrader valve (removed valve stem).
Can you please also include a link to the tools you need to un-screw the bottom panel
Can I use the special foam instead to change the tyre?
After mounting the tire, it wouldn't inflate. I even tried using a starting fluid and fire to seat the bead and it still didn't work? Do you have any ideas I could try?
Thanks for this video, I actually was using an airless tire but other than that difference the video was very helpfull.. my connectors were very stiff and ended up breaking into a million pieces so I have to re do all the connections.
My Yellow cable fused together at the connection because ofheat. I'm gonna have to chop it and soldier it back together. I'm not sure how to replace the connector. 🤷
My blue wire is fused! Trying to figure out what to do. Help?!
Same problem here
Segway should have recessed the screws on the bottom.
Hi what is the name of the clamp same in the video.
Hi there so can you give me a explanation to like how to fix my tires I don’t know if it the same how you did it in the video but while when I was using my scooter today driving it not nomaling for some how it turn off and when I check it I don’t know what was wrong with it but when I check the rear wheel it was a little ripped and it was heating so like can you please tell me what wrong with it Becuase i don’t know that much about scooter my scooter is a ninebot max g2 thank you 🙏
2:20 can't tell if you're being sarcastic or not
What size is the TORX T15?
Buenos días que tipo de desarmador debí usar el hexagonal tradicional no me sirve por la forma del tornillo
Mines got the black tire stuff and the tire is not comming off
This is not as easy as he makes it.
A lot? A little?
what pump u use
Good video , thanks for the warranty tip. NOW my question is : What is the factory Flat Rate time on changing the tire ? What time should a shop charge to to the rear AND front tire - or excuse me ' TYRE" for you Limey's .
In Sweden seen it cost around 100Euro for tyre + work time.
I noticed you gave a blood sacrifice to the gods of repair
Does the rear tire have a tire tube?
I'm so pissed I accidentally pulled the air valve hard enough that it's leaking air and now I have replace it and this looks like hell on earth to do.
I did the exact same thing. I’ve pretty much destroyed the scooter trying to fix it.
Hi! I opened my scooter BUT the first step
Of disconecting the cables doesn’t look nearly like the one on the video and I have the exact scooter
when I was disassembling the rear wheel, I had to disconnect it from the battery and I found that all 3 connectors were probably overheated and no longer rubberized, but hard burnt plastic that fell apart, the connectors remained, but here there was obviously some problem with overheating, because you can feel it smell! Does anyone have a link to send me where I could order those connectors!?
10/10 video. But omg what a fucking nightmare... and theyd have you void a warranty for this routine maintenance
What kind of tire does The Segway Ninebot MAX Electric Kick Scooter -350WUse
Is it a normal t15 or is a security t15 that is needed? Thanks in advance (link perhaps)

Gracias me diste buena idea para sacar la llanta saludos desde Perú
My bead won’t set and idk how to get it too it just wont
what is the name of the clamp
Te felicito como trabajas todo ordenado
I bought this exact tire and I cannot get any air into it
I don't hear a pop when I try inflating my rear tire😢😢... 'that' one point stays stuck inside the reem. Can anyone help!!!?‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️‼️
This looks so easy to change..
Not so much in reality
So I do not know why but mine seems to be glued in. I think someone slashed it while I was working.
I dont have these clamps......
I got my new tire on the rim but when I try to fill with air the bead doesn’t pop into place like the video. Has anyone else had this problem?
Este pneu serve no foston S09 pro ou no xiaomi m365
From where you bought the original tyres?
The link to purchase the 60/70-6.5 tubeless tire (with gel) will be available soon!

Same problem, whats the matter?
@@Tomsoniitti i really don’t know man the tire won’t fit when I try to pump it the air just keep escaping from different sides
If u didnt take the inner part out from the valve there might be hope for u, didnt work for me
Thanks!!!!!
Damn it. This makes changing tires on m365 looks much more easier
I can’t get the tire to seat on the rim
Me either help!!!
i have to same issue cant get it to fill with air and when i could it dident seat properly. i think its because i got that Ybang tire on amazon instead of getting the OG from segway
Sorry I can't offer any help but I speak from experience when I say this is HARD. Like difficult beyond reason. I somehow ruined a tire trying to get it on, 4 different people tried after me and nothing. So I bought a new tire and let a friend who's a pretty good mechanic try. He managed to get it on and inflated but told me
"I'll never do this again" This was the 1st time I've heard him say something was too hard for him to ever want to attempt it again.
@@Bigheadedwon I agree, I'm almost going to a professional to put the tire back on the rim, that's all, I have all the other tools to take it off,
How did it get a flat ? Thought it had sealant in the tires?
After hours of struggle tire is on, but it wont inflate lol… probably I done damege to it while putting it on
If you were going to replace the tire without reuse the old tire, I suggest you use a cutter or knife to cut out the old tire
I tought that too but turns out there a black really sticky liquid in it and now I don’t know what I’m gonna do
Thanks
I’m having a hard a** time inflating the tire. It’s back installed on the scooter. But not inflated
Same problem here. Did you get it fixed, and how?
Basically do irreparable to the scooter. Welp it was a good run, back to busses for me
Thank you for this helpful Video!
I can’t even get past the 3 colored wires, I swear they’re super glued 😭
Any tips on how to loosen them?
The plastic of mine had fused together. I had to cut them apart.
This whole repair process has been an absolute nightmare.
I now hold a lifelong grudge against these scooters.
Wow, it’s actually the same as a new tire mounting service for a car, $50/tire! How much do you gonna charge? Lol
I kindly suggest to throw this scooter into recycle bin and look for a scooter having split rim and detachable fork. The tools required to replace this tyre are unbelievable! Having a vehicle that it's tyre punctures like a bicycle and repaired like a car is a nightmare.
😂😂
I couldn't agree with you more, changing a rear tire is a fucking nightmare, I mean, you are correct this is a fucking scooter not a car!
Nah. Maybe you got unlucky but my segway has been through hell and back, ride it everyday through varying road conditions and zero problems.
Unfortunately, my Smartgyro K2 seems to share the same module with G30, I almost gave up changing the rear tyre into solid tyre 😂
But 8/10 videos shows people struggle with the tyre and do it wrong. hehe
of course other people gonna try do the same.
This motor needs a quick disconnect for the motor cables like on E-Bikes!
It would seem that segway has elected to encourage users to send the scooter in for repair based on the circuits not being made to disconnect anymore :/ I literally toon the tire off while fully connected to the scooter lol
I'd pay the shop to do it ...
100% true
Are you sure it’s not because it’s a jelly tire? Segway’s videos show similar ease
1hour job! I just cut the old tire off. Replaced with a new, never opened the plate under
If you haven't replaced the rubber seals, the bearings will fail very quickly.
which rubber seals?
Use nippers to get tire off.
Cut tire, remove.
This is what ended up doing, but you'll need some strong snippers, as there are metal wires in the tire that you'll need to cut through.
Anyone else notice the run-out on that Bosch?
My tire somehow deflated now I have to do this shit
