It's SO much better when vendors do review & explainer videos, than when they are done by influencers! Vendors always know the right questions to ask & have the experience needed to give the right answers.

Hands down BEST buyers guide I've yet to see, awesome job R n' G! I've only just started my scooter journey with an Apollo City Pro and love it for my urban rides throughout Brisbane, Australia (Best capital city down under for urban bike paths & VERY relaxed laws, seriously we are so very lucky!)

I'll give you credit for making a buyer's guide so good that someone like me who already owns an awesome scooter still watched to the end. 😎 Could you do a video about upgrading scooters, battery, display, throttle type, power management system, or for instance fitting fully pneumatic brakes on a scooter with dual wire to caliper brakes? If the difference is worth the time and effort etc.
    Cheers!

First of all, you guys have totally defeated NYC traffic issues. You’re getting a work out while having fun while traveling.. and you’re straight out from the future. you have taken a Group ride and turn it into a music video. And to say a promotion for Eskating is an understatement . And then the way you are experiencing the city is just phenomenal. You guys are on another level .more of this please

Poetry on every deck is only a small part of this totally top instructive, informative formidable and comprehensive coverage on electric scooters.
I am 64, have not ridden a scooter since I was 10 and I need a scooter NOW.
Living in the subtropical forest of Australia,
    step 1
here will be to watch another 20 youtube videos
Though they will all pale in the wisdom wake of yours.
    step 2
Find a shop with a gorgeous range of scooters
    Step 3
Consult with the expert and consider advice
    Step 4
Onto the 1st try out scooter and see if I can stand and move and so on.
Australia might take a few decades to follow legal advancements in terms of road use.
    I'm excited..
What a brilliant help your video is.
Especially if I can find a shop and my balance.
    Thank-you

to help someone decide what scooter they want...I ask these questions:
    What's your max budget?
    Onroad/Offroad or both?
What's the top speed you want to achieve?
What's the range you want to achieve?
    What is your weight?
Now watching your video I see you ask similar questions too ....I really wanted to leave this comment here and congratulate you guys for such a great job you do ...plus I do have experience working with your company and I totally recommend you to all my customers! 5 stars from my side !!!!

Great explanation of everything newbies need to know - I've had an Apollo Ghost for 18 months now, with 2,200 kms on an almost daily commute. One thing that should be asked is "how fast are you prepared to fall off" (personally I'm at 40kph), and watch out for people using earbuds as they can't hear your bell! Would have loved to have seen this vid before I purchased, however no regrets as the ghost I bought with twin x 1000w and hydraulics is a gem here in south west Western Australia. Local Shire committed to a wheelchair access plan many years ago and is definitely favourable to e-scooters!

11:04 The Puncture safety thing inside tyre save me a lot of times on my NinebotG30 scooter.
Multiple time i stopped and think im gonna get a flat tyre.
Had a 1inch small nail in the back tyre and toke it out, nothing happen.
Accidentally driving on glas from crushed bottle on the road 5-6 times, to late for breaking.
Driving on 2-10mm tiny sharp gravel rocks all the time, no problem.
Drive every day with scooter 1year and around 7000km on it.
Never had a flat tyre. Run with 5,5-6bar in the tyre and my weight are 85kg.
The tyre cost dubble as a regular without puncture safety thing.
But it is sooo worth it.

Yo my man. Awesome possum on the video. A whole lotta tomatoes or tomatos along given out. You took me to school I appreciate you sharing that knowledge. I’m in Los Angeles and I have to find a store that I can purchase my scooter from so that I may touch it, feel it and smell it before I buy it. I’m cancelling my Amazon order right after my thabk uou note. I guess perhaps in LA we use cars a lot more to get around in? Lol. So I’ve had a difficult time finding a store front and test drive one before purchasing one.
One silly comment I do have about your video is that you should have a translate button I kept having to rewind due to the neat accent factor. It’s neat to listen to y’all but a little tricky.
Hey brother again thabks so much and much luck with to you and the athletic assistant of yours.
Hey man I think you should have alternated between takes or you perhaps should add a few clips with you running and the blade runner on the scooter. I’m just saying man. Best of luck.

the problem with thumb or finger throttle is that if you ride more than 30 minutes your finger or thumb goes numb specially when its cold twist throttle are the best but they are not gradual and can be dangerous most of brand names are finger or thumb throttle and their is no option in changing them on major brand names . its a very good review for pros and beginners as well . my wish is that one day you will be able to buy custom build scooters so you can have all options you like while riding.

@@thigerns The best of the best we have tried is the Nami. Well built, water resistant, huge range, really fast if required and super comfortable. Smaller options would be the Vsett 10+ or Apollo phantom as they still have a water resistant rating and are powerful enough for the hills. It really depends on budget and performance you are hoping for from that budget! 👍👍👍

I love your video I'm about 45 minutes into it right now. And I've got a question for you. You may or may not cover this in your video by the end. I have a bad back and I'm looking for a personal transportation vehicle for around town and also whenever I go hiking or camping. Because walking causes me a lot of pain after a while. I am looking for a scooter that can go top speed of maybe 40 miles an hour, dual motors for the hiking, but would you recommend a scooter that allows me to sit? Or am I going to have better balance on a scooter standing? My back is not particular to either standing or sitting. And should I avoid thinner tires? I'm thinking the fatter tires would offer better balance for me.

    • @RIDEGLIDE
      @RIDEGLIDE  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Mike,
Firstly thanks for watching and gad you enjoyed it!
For cruising along flat ground for long (ish) distances a seat would be comfortable and probably help your back if it was set up correctly. However for hilly trails there is a major benefit to standing as you can reposition your body when turning and for incline changes. Also because you are not just standing constantly in the same position it allows your back to move which in my experience can alleviate some of the pain and stop it seizes. Obviously this isn't medical advice but just observations 👍

One thing we’re missing in the personal electric vehicle world (what’s the acronym again?) is repair shops. At least in the USA, Colorado, you pretty much need to do all maintenance and repairs yourself. Would love to see companies open up retail shops with repair options.

@@RIDEGLIDE I live near Boulder, we have a ton of trails and we are looking right now at how to deal with E vehicles. My personal preference would be a speed limit. We do have areas with little kids, seniors, dogs, etc. Regular bikers fly by sometimes at 20 mph and it seems too fast. Put a speed limit in areas that need it and the community will adopt it imo.

    • @RIDEGLIDE

Great info, so thanks for the in depth information.
I´m having too many punctures on my rear tire and it´s a duel motor with the hubs in two parts.
You say it´s common to have more punctures when your heavy due to nipping. I take it you refer to the inner
hubs nipping the tube. I have has the sport tires on for some time, yet despite the vibration, maybe should use the offroad
ones with thicker pattern´s. It´s a "Nitrox RS3200 V2" and extremely powerful with 87 kilometers/hour recorded on a level road!
I however am happier at slower speeds, but am grateful when on paths for that extra push. I was going to try out the "Green slime"
as I thought the air loss to be too slow to be the tube every time. I have had to fix the punctures 7 times so far!
Hope this gives you a laugh.
I liked that thumb power lever too, very nice. Yet I do have to sacrifice weight, as it´s impossible to lift the thing into my van, I had
to design a ramp in the end, that works very well. Will subscribe, pity you are not in Sweden.
