I have an L reg 1.8 TD with the RS kit and Si int, even has ST alloys and a S/S twin exit exhaust 😂 They do handle well for their size but mine needs more power 😁
Am I the only person who was hoping this was going to be turned into a full btcc replica? 😂 Good to see you back Mr P, looking forward to seeing how this one comes together
I had a 1998 Mk2 Mondeo Ghia which i loved. Super comfortable and so smooth to drive. I had to sell it as we had caravans at the time and 25mph up the a21, flat out was a bit slow progress lol.
Return of the Renegade Master!! 💪Noice 🤩 I still remember ragging a mates, leggy ex polis, P reg, white, blue velour, 1.8LX hatch round South Wales in 2001 - what a car!
ive meant to say this before elsewhere Chris, but if you change the pollen/cabin filter on it, be careful how you refit the clips/screws that hold the passengers side scuttle panel in. a couple of guys i worked with back in the day didnt get them located quite right and when the screws were put in, they touched the windscreen and cracked it. also, it seems to be missing the aircon lines, from what i can see at around 3 mins in the video. the Veronas selling point at the time was aircon. Great to see you back posting vids too!
Hi Chris great to see you back on the big screen mate. So much love for the mk1 mondeo, I had a mk1 2.0 ghia x auto hatchback in that dark cherry colour. It came with the sames wheel that were on the 1st frog eye Scorpios but in 4 stud configuration. I also had a mk2 mondeo glx a mk3 mondeo 2.2 155 titanium x diesel, a mk4.5 mondeo 2.2 tdci 175 titanium x sport estate .its far to say I love a mondeo. I can remember back in the day you Ben Morley and nick Thomas back in your retro ford performance ford days messing about with a mondeo, a mk5/6 escort and a frog eye cosworth scrorpio. What ever happened to that project 😀👍
Welcome back Mr p. The spoiler..... I agree removal is paramount. I'm thinking size wise it looks right , but the shape is wrong. I'm thinking it's meant for the hatchback and was "made" to fit the saloon. I look forward to seeing the recommissioning.
Genuinely love this Chris - like you I have been a fan of Mondeos since Rouse and Radisich - dying with Italian style is a noble way to go 😂 Hope this project gets some traction as it’s a great idea
Good choice as a future classic. The early Mondeo IMHO was as important as the MK1 Cortina and was a game changer. I had one all the way though the 90's and naughties after my Rover series 1 827 SI manual...
Nice to see you back with a new video. I for one have missed you. Good to see you back to full form. Looking forward to what you are going to do with the Mondeo 👍👍👍
So good to see you back and hopefully in a much better place, the internet hasn't been the same without you. What a return too, straight in with a darling of the car scene, a MK1 Mondeo. Wonderful! Although I would urge caution with that steering wheel, I've seen what an accident with one of those can do and it isn't pretty. But you pay your money and make your choice, enjoy it!
We had Vimto in Wythenshawe, Manchester as a client and I was working there. The upwardly mobile IT Manager got a brand new company car, a Mondeo just as they were released. The first day he had it, he locked up the brakes in the wet and hit a guy in a Metro leaving the dealer after just collecting it from repair for a previous accident. Poor elderly guy in the Metro had 2 small dogs in car, and in shock after the hit they jumped on the old guy's lap and proceeded to pee on him out of fear and shock! Wasn't his day at all!
I always wanted a mondeo, always liked them and i drove a few through work when they first came out. Unless im mixing it up, i remember they used to come with a clip for a pen ,
I have a new set of 40mm lowered springs for a mk1, need to makes sure you have the right struts on the front though, mk1 struts are smaller in the spring seat but most have mk2 struts on them by now as mk1 struts became unavailable a good few years ago 🤔 Nice car, don't see many others about, mines off the road at the mo, hand brake issues lol Just subbed, not seen you since the old RR days, a bloody long time ago 🤯
Some questionable mods, but life would be boring if we were all the same. Thanks for the video loving them. Post when you can, no pressure on the frequency.
Hello! I have a MK1. I look for the parts catalogue. I live in Brazil and there are practically no parts for this car here. If anyone has any information about the catalog or about selling parts online, I would be very grateful.
It needs the red plastic strip that some of them had between the rear lights…. 60mm drop is just daft, especially with standard length aftermarket shocks from the local motor factor….
Be careful with the MOT Paul. If a car left the factory with an airbag wheel (regardless of age) MOT’r can see that on MOT data and it’s a fail if airbag missing and aftermarket wheel on. Of course nothing to say can’t swap around before & after MOT. Also you will get constant airbag light fault come up so need the resistor kits in electronics to keep light off. Brilliant project otherwise 😍
18 months for intended strangulation. He went back to strangle her for a second time, the first time with his hands, second time by kneeling on her windpipe with his full body weight - she's 5'1", he's 6'3" and many stones heavier. 4 months for ABH. He punched and slapped her several times - severe bruising and swelling all over her face. 1 month for criminal damage. This wasn't a heat of the moment thing, it was acknowledged as a sustained attack. 23 months just isn't enough IMHO.
@@ridingdriving - I'm sorry...the guy literally went to jail for strangling his fiancé (twice) and beat her until she was black & blue, but you want the story on dick pics & private messages? Seriously?
All of them were sold to help purchase more white nostril dust & Jack Daniels. Except for the Mondeo, which is still in his ownership, so currently sat somewhere gaining 23 months of patina and rust.
@@WayTooManyCars oh right, are you serious about him selling them? If so that's terrible. Also, do the police put the vehicle into storage then, I cant imagine them being left on his drive as his house would get taken off him right?
@@AssumedTiger - yep, 100% he sold all the cars (Daimler, Beetle, Mercedes, Rover) but kept the Ford. The Mondeo is parked up somewhere, still taxed, insured and MOT'd. But it's definitely not at the house (he hasn't lived there for months) and definitely not with the Police.
Probably down the banger track! I’d doubt the police store your vehicles if you get locked up, it’s not a holiday. If it’s left somewhere untaxed then it gets towed off and in the case of something like this, baled.

The heated screens can be regulated by two fuses, one for each side so, worth checking both are ok.
