If you liked Chris Isaak, you should check out "Baby did a bad bad thing" and "Blue Hotel" 😉
Yes! I would add Blue Spanish Sky.
This channel needs to deep dive H.I.M. Found them by accident cleaning out a virus-laden computer from a heavy P2P user and decided to listen to some of the music they downloaded while cleaning out the viruses. Thought it was a boy band, I was so wrong.
Love Blue Hotel, thanks!
"I think I done mushrooms to this...' 😂😂😂😂
Best quote of the video and its not even done yet.
This man is the total package! His delivery and connection with his audience is incredible. Absolutely one of the great songs.
"Chill vampire voice" is such a perfect description
😂😂😂 I ❤your post
You owe it to yourself to watch the official video, it brings a lot to the table
If your digging Chris Isaak, give Roy Orbison a look. Their vocal styles are very similar. If you’re not familiar with Roy, he was the man that gave us the song Oh Pretty Woman.
They definitely need to check out Roy Orbison.
Songs: Oh Pretty Woman, In Dreams, Crying, Only the Lonely, Candy Man, Mean Woman Blues.
Songs with the Traveling Wilburys, Handle with Care and End of the Line
The Traveling Wilburys consists of: Roy Oribson, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lynne of ELO and George Harrison of The Beatles.
In the video End of the Line, Roy had died before the video was made so you will see a black and white photo of him during his singing parts and they put his guitar in a rocking chair in the video.
crying definitely
This is obviously a ladies' favorite track, but I always felt like it resonates with us fellas a little more. If you ask a girl you'll hear about how sexy it is, if you ask a dude, you're about to hear the saddest story ever.
Classic tale of falling for someone you think is perfect.
Unrequited love
Just saw him over the weekend in Vegas. Sounds exactly the same, he's 67 now and still amazing and funny.
Everyone reacting to this song lately has been so nice. I get to hear Isaaks silky smooth voice over and over and over!!😍🥵🤘🏼
Chris Isaak was born & raised in Stockton, CA in 1956. Still around & active in the music world today.
Chris Isaak released 13 studio albums. Alot more than what you guys are thinking. Numerous different award nominations, tours, spanning 4 decades.
Definitely a throwback to the Roy Orbison sound. Beautiful voice. Orbison was signed by Sun Records in 1956. Isaak was signed by Warner Bros. in 1985.
Considered Rockabilly or Rock, just as Roy Orbison was.
Roy Orbison died in 1988.
yes, 13 albums, great... but he´s a one hit wonder anyway
@@andreasglaesel3811 one hit is all you need. there are many more great artists who never even charted, if you can believe that.
2 things.
Chris Isaak guest starred on an episode of Friends where he played a librarian that was a love interest of Phoebe's. The two were playing guitar together and he hit that high note and she said "you might want to pick a more masculine note".
Second. Corey Taylor does an awesome acoustic rendition of this song.
This song defines the word "longing." Goes right to the soul.
Chris Isaak pulled me up onstage in Seattle. But you HAVE TO watch the music video. IT’S EVERYTHING. Chris and Helena Christensen are magic together. 😁💖
She has the most beautiful eyes ever. Maybe it's because I saw the video when I was 12 for the first time but at 44 she is still my "Hellen Of Troy" or "Mona Lisa". She could have played Aphrodite haha. And Chris is a handsome fella himself. The passion in that video was palpable. So good still.
The HIM cover of this was and still is amazing.
Morning fellas! Oh man i love this song! He has got such a smooth voice! This was a popular song back in the day and still sounds so good! Great choice guys!❤️🤓🙂
What a wonderful track ❤
It's steady becoming one of my favorite ballands ever
The whole album is sooo good. It's called "Heart Shaped World"
Actually he's from Stockton CA which is pretty close to San Fran. He's also an accomplished actor with parts in Silence of the Lambs(1991), A Dirty Shame(2004), and Married to the Mob(1988) to name a few as well as his own sitcom on Showtime, The Chris Isaak Show which ran from '01 to' 04.
Also gotta get to Somebody's Crying, Blue Hotel, and my favorite, Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing
And every video is a tribute to some of the most beautiful women of the 90s.
And was featured in Surfer Magazine back in the 80’s as a up & coming singer plus a pretty good surfer!
Didn't he used to be a boxer before his musical career? At least that's what I heard back in the day.
@MacSvensson can't find anything about him being involved in any sport other than being head of an all-male high school cheer squad. Didn't see that one coming.
Hasn't he written music for movies or TV shows?
Since you brought him up, y'all should react to Crying by Roy Orbison.
You guys are so much fun to watch. Enjoy the opening rap, too.
You guys have done reactions to The Traveling Wilburys, Roy Orbison was in that band.
I saw Chris Isaac in concert when he opened for Tina Turner. It was a good show. It was a better show when I took my date back home. 😆 😊
What a song! What a voice he has! And made all the better with a scantily clad Helena Christensen lounging about…❤❤
A pregnant Helena😊
@@hays9008lucky Dad
@@markferrett700Wasn’t the dad a Seal?
No (Seal was married to Heidi Klum) Helena Christensen have 1 son with Norman Reedus (Actor from Walking Dead and The Boondock Saints)
Chris Isaak is a throwback artist, definitely referencing Elvis, Roy Orbison etc. If you want more Chris Isaak, check out Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing, San Francisco Days, Somebody’s Crying
And yes, he’s from the Bay Area and a surfer, and former boxer.
This has been heavily covered in the rock world. Corey Taylor, HIM and even Tenacious D to name a few. Great song 🤘
Omg the Tenacious D video 😂
@@ShanLH5of course they would have to see Chris Issac’s original video to appreciate the hilariousness of Kyle & Jack running through the beach, half-naked, with their giblets bouncing around. 😂
The HIM cover is great too. Any of their music is worth a look or listen. Kind of on the goth side but more pop added.
@@Brotha_Teresalol yes! Too much 😂
@@matthewdrake4385yes I saw them play it live many years ago 😊
I love seeing y'all get so into the music! Its just great!!❤️❤️
He acted as an FBI agent in Twin Peaks film Fire Walk with Me which was a massive TV show in the early 90s.
It was during the time some men looked fashionably like 50s film stars Marlon Brando and James Dean.
His wife was on the set of the video (the woman in the video is a hired model) taping. He said this was a little uncomfortable on that beach with his wife standing 6 feet behind the camera. Chris was set to be like a second coming of Elvis. With the perfect voice, snarl in his lip, and the hair. Unfortunately, he had a mild reception for several years after this song hit the top of the charts. BLUE SPANISH SKY was another great song of his.
Chris is a lifelong bachelor - he never married.
They def should have watched the video
The woman in the video is Helena Christensen, a super model of the era.
Does anyone remember his tv show?
One of the best shows I ever atended.
Check out his songs "You Owe Me Some Kind Of Love", "Blue Hotel", "Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing", "Dancing"
Beautiful, mesmerizing …. my absolute favorite song ❤🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️
Chris' voice is mesmerizing- the tone, the flow is fantastic. I had it on a playlist that my partner called "sexy time" whenever it came around. 😉
He is awesome. His delivery along with a phenomenal voice are what make him great.
"dont make me dream about you" and "somebody's lyin" are also worth a reaction. i also like his version of roy orbisons "pretty woman"
I thought B said Oregon, too! 😆 But it's probably because I live there! Lol I love Chris Issak! This song will forever be timeless!! ❤
Saw him live 2 years ago. An amazing showman, took you way back to the 50s. And he's very funny
I wanted to let u know you both are so amazing . So kind ❤
Very thoughtful , I could go on and on . You two are part of the reason I react. Gave me hope . I wish you all the best. I'll be watching on the sidelines ! Keep grinding. Bless you both
🙏🙏🙏
Roy Obison’s in Dreams is in my all time top 3 songs. You need to react to that one.
"Baby Did A Bad, Bad Thing" is another great song!!!🎶🎼🎵🎹🎸🎤🎧🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥🤘🤘🤘
Such an achingly beautiful song. His voice and that guitar are what makes this song the most sultry, sexy song OF ALL time in my book. Have been a fan of Chris's for many, many years.
Corey Taylor's cover of this is dope! Great reaction fellas! Have a bangin weekend!! ✌️n ❤
There is a live version of this worth checking out, not the official video.
Often labeled as a "rockabilly" artist...(I guess I can see it sometimes) but he has a wide range of styles....all very smooth.
Try "Can't Do a Thing to Stop Me" , "Somebody's Crying" or "Lie To Me" for a similar feel to Wicked Game.
You've opened a rather large rabbit hole that's well worth leaping into.
Saw him many times at Mountain Winery, Saratoga CA. LOVE him. ❤😊
Are you guys forgetting you did a video for Handle With Care by the Traveling Wiburys… featuring Roy Orbison? 😊
I think they've done a few of Roy's songs. Roy is my favorite singer so I should remember but I don't lol😬😅
@@DefinitelyNotBender in all fairness they’ve done about 837,000 videos over the past few years 😆😊
@@ShanLH5 837,001 now😆 But true, they've done way more than I've ever been able to watch. I think I've watched at least half by now lol
@ShanLH5 😂😂😂
@@Hollywood6IX Hahaa I figured it was somewhere in that ballpark 😆 I just realized I misspelled Wilburys. Well you knew what I meant lol
One of my all time favorites. Hauntingly beautiful
Love this and LOVE Jack Black's version with the funniest clip accompanying it. Must be seen to be believed
There's a European artist called HIM who did a rock version of this song. It's cool. Give it a listen.
Dudes - you guys missed out by not watching the accompanying music video and the absolute gorgeousness that is Helena Christensen. Seriously, it'd be worth it to do a second reaction to the video - or at least go and catch it just for you! Highly recommend "Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing" and yep, with the accompanying music video. 🙂❤ This song was used to great effect in David Lynch's "Wild at Heart."
Banging shirt's guys and great reaction as always
Always love Facelift!!
"Can't Do A Thing (To Stop Me) would have been a better song. Please react to that. It combines soft hip hop beat to early 60's twang guitars, with great atmosphere.
For me this is one of those songs that kind of proves how magical music is. Like this song just *IS* good. It’s a fact. I don’t know what makes it so good but it’s absolutely 100% undeniable. There isn’t a person alive who enjoys music who would hear this and think it’s not good. It just has that magic thing
At the height of his popularity, after this video came out, he could walk into any store, club, or even any CHURCH, and walk out with ANY yall's wife lmao
Check out the acoustic cover of this song by Daughtry. He kills it!
Since you loved this HIM might be right in your alley, their main vocalist Ville Valo has sort of similar voice, style and an insane 5 octave range 😮
Also the Japanese band Buck-Tick has a very similar vibe as well with their songs Dress and Kagerou
His "Forever Blue" album is amazing!
Great reaction guys
Great live version with band in studio and CI in flip flops.
Heard a DJ say that "he sings like Roy, looks like Elvis" .
This is definitely the type of song you do shrooms to tho 🤣🤣🤣
A bit of trivia. If you watch closely, he appeared in the movie Silence of the Lambs.
His Show Was Awesome Too!!
This is the reaction I needed fellas!! 💥
"I think I've done mushrooms to this" 🤣🤣
Roy Orbison!!!! Definitely do some of his material. I Drove All Night is magical.
Saw him perform in 1991. Fantastic. Highly recommended
Great pick guys, this is song is just fantastic. Chris has such a unique vocal pitch & very few could pull this off. (Omigosh, y'all gotta bring us some Roy Orbison!!! Start with...um, either "Blue Bayou" or "Cryin'"! 😁😎...the other Man in Black!)
"A chill vampire voice?" Lol, ive never thought of it like that but I'd say thats an accirate & fair description of his voice, in this song at least!
The Chris Isaak show was funny as hell. Fun fact…he was also in 2 episodes of Friends…
Diana Ankudinova Queen of goosebumps kills the cover of this at age 15.Unreal 🤯
Nice Tees. You guys gettin' this Seattle-ass weather, too?! peace
That whole album was great - we played it all the time for awhile there.
Great reaction, guys. Smoke, I have always loved Roy Orbison (and the Traveling Wilburys, ofc). Nice shout out. ❤
I remember when I was a kid in the 90s I saw him perform at a county fair. We had never heard of him before but we bought his album right there and became big fans. Anything from his albums Heart Shaped World or Forever Blue is just gold. But my favorite song of his is Black Flowers.
You mentioned Roy Orbison. In the late 80’s and early 90’s he was part of a brilliant Super Group called The Travelling Wilburys. There was Roy Orbison, Tom Petty, Bob Dylan, George Harrison and Jeff Lynne. All of them musical superstars in their own right. The band started out as these guys goofing around in a recording session for George Harrison’s Cloud 9 album. Someone suggested making an album. I would recommend ‘End of the Line’ as it was released as a tribute to Roy after his death in 1988.
Chris Issac used to open for Roy Orbison when Roy was much older and Chris would hang around, and after the shows to talk to Roy. Chris said that Roy was always very open and helped him greatly in his career. Chris's main influences were Roy Orbison and Elvis Presley and Chris Issac does a cover of one of Roy Orbison's songs called "Only The Lonley" that sounds very much like Roy Orbison. You should check out Roy Orbison's original version and then Chris Issac's cover to see where the strong influence came from.
One of hotest voice i Know❤️🔥! Love your reaction💕
Kiss from France🇨🇵
React to "Baby did a bad, bad thing" by Chris Isaak
❤❤❤❤❤ love it
the duet of ROY ORBISON and KD LANG singing CRYING is one the best songs recorded
OH YES! Do some Roy Orbison! or his supergroup "Traveling Wilburys" (with Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Jeff Lynne, George Harrison)
This sounds like the 90s! Miss those years
Wow u guys gotta do the official video.
Right on!
Great reaction gents. What a great song....such a vibe.
You should react to the Beth Roars cover. It's so good
Great Roy reference Smoky! I grew up listening to Roy, and Chris Isaak, with my dad. You guys would definitely dig some Roy. Peace brothers!
The band HIM witch is GOTHIC ROCK and they do a great job of this song !!!!! ❤😂
You should watch the video. It fits the song perfectly. Helena Christensen.
In germany we call these kind of songs Schlüpferstürmer - translates to a song that storms panties.
You definitely need to check out Roy Orbison. His music is from the 1960's.
I LOVE this song🎉
Baby Did a Bad, Bad Thing is one of my favorites from Mr. Isaak..
He got to roll around the beach with Helena Christation , enough said
One Of The Greatest Song's Ever Recorded
"This world is only going to break your heart"... Chris sings this even better live. His vocal control is a lot like Roy Orbison's. His tone and tambour cut straight to your heart and into your soul. Chris hails from the Bay area (Stockton CA) along w his band Silvertone. You would enjoy Heart Shaped World in its entirety, as well as, if not better his first two albums. He's got rock n Roll chops too! "Western Stars" echoes Wicked Game, yet more country vibe. "Pretty girls Don't Cry", "Another Idea", "Voodoo".
Model Helena Christensen is his love interest in the video. It really fits the song.
Chris Isaak covered some Roy Orbison's songs.
The chicks melt down with this guy though watch the other reactions. Even the other charismatic voice lady was ooooooohhhhhh!
Funny how the chick sighed and cried but every darn chich was oooooohhhhhhh
