This man can literally sing my pants off. I'm not ashamed to say it😂
Ditto😂
I Agree!!
I grew up in the same city he's from. My boss went to high-school with him. She showed me pictures of him from their yearbook. She said he was super charismatic and attractive even as a teenager.
Yep! Makes baby do a bad bad thing! 😂😂
this song makes my heterosexual percentage temporarily drop 28%.
It's something else, isn't it? The music video for this song is literally the sexiest thing ever to be broadcast on MTV.
Salvo might blush while watching it. :)
Baby did a bad bad thing 🤭
Someone said that love at first is like butterflies in your stomach. Then you end up in a dark room drinking whiskey and listening to this on repeat.
❤This song is Epic. He is great live. The video to this song is THE iconic 90s video. You should make time to watch it......mesmerizing for sure.
Seconding this, for sure. I can absolutely still see it, all those crashing waves, beautiful woman...
One of my favorite songs from this period. You really need to hear the studio version as well. Flawless.
I think he puts more passion into the studio version.
and watch the video to accompany it - HOT!!!!
@@jodij6280 You have to remember, the studio version was 30+ years ago!
@@JoFa876 The studio is what we heard on the radio. This version is too...laidback.
One of the sexiest songs ever written. And the actual music video is even sexier. 🔥 ❤
I've heard this song hundreds of times but I still get chills every time.
"Baby Did a Bad, Bad Thing" is my favorite of his. Definitely worth a listen. I've always thought he was under appreciated. He seems to have taken a page from Roy Orbison.
Hell yeah.
The "official" video is filmed on a BLACK sandy beach with a scantily clad model and it is HOT, this from a 69 year old lady. It was just a perfect video for this song. 😎😎😎😎
Saw him live for a Christmas show and he was funny, entertaining and smooth. Don't sleep on his other songs just because this one was the biggest. He is the last of the crooners. He has a few that move really good
We've seen him twice and going back next week. Funny guy.
The song was inspired by a true event in his life. He had a girl that was a friend and their relationship was, well, they weren't good for each other, but the sex was outstanding! Early one morning shortly after midnight this girl called Chris on the phone and asked if she could come up to his apartment and spend the night. She would tend to exploit Chris' good nature. Chris said "Ok!" Between the time that Chris hung up the phone from her and the time that she knocked on his door Chris had written this entire song!
There are several interviews available on TH-cam that Chris gave where he tells this story. He has never divulged the name of the girl. Consummate gentleman!
Love his voice, but the part I have always loved most about this song is the guitar. It's one of those songs that can take you away for a few minutes before dropping you back into reality.
I am an old lady but like your face when you hear these so,ngs.
You're such cougar. Lol
I will be 54 next birthday. I know what you mean. Salvo really reacts emotionally to the songs.
The official video and studio version are fire xx
You were right on the money when you zeroed in on Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing on the playlist. A MUST listen! His performance of that song will blow your socks off! He really shows his range from a deep bass growl to a howling falsetto. It totally rocks!
It’s a fun song and I hope you react to it.
YES! "Baby did a bad bad thing." You have to.
As soon as you hear Baby did a bad, bad thing, you will know it. Used in movies or short clips for years!
What a fine song and memorable vocal performance!
I haven't heard this song in a long time and forgot how good it is! Chris is smooth and confident! This is one sexy song❤ thanks for bringing it on the channel. Kaye
He played a cop in one of my fave movies "Silence of the Lambs".
This song (especially the studio version) is simple, haunting and performed beautifully.
He was one of the SWAT guys in Tennessee to be exact.
He also plays a much more prominent part in Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me that features a cameo from David Bowie too.
One of those song that go right to your soul. I have flashbacks of the video everytime i hear it. Simply amazing.
Still sounds great even to day a timeless classic.
Beautiful man singing beautiful music.
I knew you would enjoy the Orbisonesque quality of his voice!! That haunting yodeling with the guitar reverb is other-worldly. "Baby Did a Bad Thing" is also good & serves in a national perfume ad. It is a bit lower in tone & nearly gritty. I hope you react to that as well.
Definitely
Definitely need to check out the music video!
I was 16 when this song came out and I literally had a crush on Chris Isaak ❤ and now.... what a beautiful man he is 😂 You must see the official video of this song!!
I would say the mood and memorability is due to Wicked Game being written in a minor key (for some reason minor keys resonate moodiness and engender a visceral effect) - but this song is special melodically as well. Isaac has crafted a song on the Dorian scale. You've gotta be skilled to just play the damn thing - kinda like Joni Mitchell (she open tuned). I can listen to both Mitchell and Isaac all day long.
I've been lucky enough to see Chris issak live twice, brilliant musicians, whole band just rocked .I remember that song so well from 91 ,when my heart was completely broken.❤
He also gives a FANTASTIC concert.... incredible voice, great entertainer....Highly recommend seeing him and his band in person...
Saw the video on MTV when it first debuted. Needless to say ran out to Sam Goody’s record store and bought the cassette tape. I know, I know…dating myself. Had to hear this voice over and over. I finally wore the cassette tape out. So melodic
Saw him live in Nashville, TN.. in1995.... lots of empty seats to my left!... 7 Rows back!.... When this song came on!,, Ushers told me and my boyfriend to move to the far left!.... Chris, walked off stage, All white suit, White guitar!... Lights turned down, Spot light on me and him...!!... I Melted!... my knees Buckled!!... no crappolla!... He sang it to me!!!..
One of the sexiest ones ever made. I remember when this came out. Dreamy❤
You have to watch the video. That’s an order!
Chris Isaac has an amazing voice. He is a legend.
Thank you for bringing his music to more folks.
Glad younger audiences are appreciating how good music used to be.
“Used” to be…sad hey.😢
Hauntingly Beautiful
This song was HUGE when it came out. And he's a good actor, I saw him on an episode of Friends and he was understatedly funny.
and he was in Silence of the Lambs, Twin Peak and Married to the Mob
One of the most haunting songs from a film I ever heard. In the David Lynch film Wild at Heart this song hypnotized me into buying Heart Shaped World. Darn good actor as well. Played an FBI agent in Silence of the Lambs
He also played an FBI agent in Twin Peaks - Fire Walk With Me
He's not FBI in Silence of the Lambs.
The only FBI involved in that affair was Clarice visiting the building before everything kicks off.
Isaak plays one of the SWAT officers who arrives shortly after..... Clarice leaves 😅
The sensuality of the black & white video for Chris Isaak's "Wicked Game" reminds me of the sensuality of the black & white video for Shania Twain's "You're Still The One". I wouldn't be surprised if they took their cue from his.
Saw him at a smallish venue a few years back. He came down into the stalls and the ladies went wild...As a man I didn't feel safe. 😂
What really blows my mind is that this recording is just from the rehearsal !
I love this song, the video is amazing. This is a classic love song. 💯🔥
Beautiful song
I feel in love with this song & this album when it first came out and it remains on my all time favorites play list to this day. It is one of the sexiest songs my ears have ever heard. ❤️
The vocal control he has is outstanding.
Its a fantastic song to show off your hi-fi. I used to play it to people from the original pressing on vinyl. It's a beautiful clean and warm recording but an even more incredible performance. Love it!
You should watch the official video of this.
My favorite moment with him was at the House of Blues in Las Vegas. He had recently been in the John Waters movie A Dirty Shame, so I brought a DVD of the movie with me (he was doing a pre-show signing at no extra cost, because he's fkn cool). I told him we were his Las Vegas bears (there are bears in A Dirty Shame), so he gave me a wink and said "hi there, bear buddy" and signed that onto the DVD cover. I dropped my brovaries right there.
I actually like this live version even more than the studio version. Great song, perfect performance.
I prefer the studio version - this one is autotuned and it doesn't quite have the same natural quality the studio version has. F knows why they autotuned it - this guy can sing.
I've seen him live twice, so haunting and then he goes all goofball on ya! The entire Heart-Shaped World album is a must listen
I heard this as soon as it was released, I went straight out and bought it and played it repeatedly.
Personally, I prefer the studio cut - check out the official music video of this with him and supermodel Helena Christensen on the black sand beach in Hawaii - it won numerous awards and accolades. This lead guitar part is great fun to play on a stratocaster.
He makes this song sad and sexy at the same time. What a great song and artist!
Definitely check out Baby Did a Bad. Bad Thing!!!
killer tune.......hits you in the FEELS
Probably the first ever MP3 I downloaded about 25 years ago, took me about 20 minutes to download! still a great song.
Probably one of the MOST COVERED SONGS in existance!
Daisy Gray does a killer cover!❤😂
She’s does the only cover of this song that was worthy of getting me to download it!
This song just levels me and so does Chris ♥️♥️♥️
So glad you did the live version of this one ♥️🎸🎤🎶
So unique, especially for his time in the spotlight. Excellent choice. This song in regular rotation in my song list.
I met Chris Isaak back in 2001 and again in 2003 a few times! He was doing his tv sitcom "The Chris Isaak Show"in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Chris was so sexy back then too!!❤🥰 Chris is such a nice guy as well as his band mates!
The video to this song is great. The girl in the video was Michael Hutchence' (INXS) longtime girlfroend Helene Christensen.
Chris is from a city near me. He performs here quite frequently and the hometown crowds are so fun! He puts on a great concert.
He has a Rick Nelson/Americana voice!!! Very good artist!!! love him!!! Good reaction!!!
I was in my late 20's when this song hit. The metal hair bands were all the rage and then this guy, with his sweet seductive vocals, comes out of nowhere. I had a real appreciation by that age for the art of songwriting and singing that I had not had as a teenager. In other words, I had hit the age where I could understand lyrics, even painful ones like these. I've often wondered how many babies were conceived to this song. Yeah, it had that kind of power lol.
fabulous! thank you
Great reaction ! This is a cool song . I love it when you sing along a little 😀
I am so glad to come across this, I didn't know you were listening to some of the greatest music and singers of the past 50 years! Chris Isaak is amazing, I love this version of this song. The video isn't worth you time, unless you are into pretty ladies. LOL
This entire album “Heart Shaped World” is fire!!!! Almost an ethereal sound.
This song Blue Spanish Sky and Things go wrong are sublime. His voice is absolutely gorgeous on them all.
Baby did a bad bad thing. GOOD SONG very catchy.
"you ever love someone so much you thought your little heart was gonna break in two...I didn't think so!" Oh so good
His album, Baja Sessions, is on one of my favorite albums to chill and relax to! Especially in the summer!
Love this ❤ . Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing is FIRE.
PLEASE watch the music video and hear the original recording along with it. The old western campfire cowboy sound with the imagery of him and the girl on the beach really helped propel this song at the time.
Great song
One of the best songs of all time. Helped we win a karaoke contest, too!
You have the same expressions I have listening to him. You get it
Wow🤩 Loved this!! I haven’t heard this song in a long time!! Thank you Mark for recommendation and SalvoG for great reaction ✌️🎼🎸👏🏻♥️
Absolutely watch the official studio video... Also, a piece of art... And yes, Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing is so worth a listen... Official video also art...
Beautiful voice and still so handsome
This is fine--the studio version also is and it's amped up a bit more...I like that one more.
Lovely to see Chris Izack on here. And to see you singing along was good too!
Great video. Imma gonna chime in here with everyone else saying the studio/official video version is better.
If you're looking for other Chris Isaac suggestions, "I Wonder" is one of my feel-good favorites that I discovered on the Fools Rush In soundtrack.
Great modern country music.
Stunning voice...yes!
I never saw this live version, it's really good. I used to manage a stereo store and we'd use this cd to demo speakers. I sold many many speakers to this song. So glad you got to hear it!
He's got a bit of Elvis going on.
Check out his video on the beach, for this song, that is what rocked our world. Saw Chris perform at a winery estate, fantastic show ❤
Nothings changed, is a must!
Love this song Still at 63! Oh and this was the song when Rachel and Ross first made love on Friends!
Fantastic, unique voice.
Studio version 🙌
Saw him live twice 12 - 15 years ago, one time more acoustic and one time more electric and rocking. He was amazing both times!!! He's not a one-trick poney, he can rock, and his 'Baby Did A Bad Bad Thing' is a real cool and funky song you want to listen to hear a different side of him.
He is a pop star with a guitar, so he doesn't want his music to be called pop music. But it is. That's exactly what it is.
I had only seen the music video before. I really dig the way they split the guitars left and right, so you could pick out the interplay between the two parts.
I also, saw hi. In concert a few years ago. He and his band were great. I’ve always felt he was underrated.
Been a fan since his first album. So saying this song is actually better live than the studio version. Live, his voice is soooooo smooth. This song is pure sex, imo and he jokes about it all the time. His tour with Stevie Nicks (whom I know you love) was magic. They do a couple duets together that are amazing - of course. The story behind the song is awesome - a friend with benefits (whom he knew he should stay away from) called to say she was coming over. He wrote this song in the time it took her to get there! Chris has a wicked sense of humor and chooses tiny acting roles in movies he's interested in plus he had a show (meta based on his real life) on showtime in the late 90s (each week had a new music guest show up and they'd always play a song a two together which may be why it's never been released on dvd but you can find it online if you look hard enough). I think you'll love Baby did a bad bad thing (title came from a time he overheard a woman scolding her child, lol)
video is a must!
"Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing" should be the next one you check out.
Love this song. I agree with the others that you need to hear the studio version or watch the sexy music video!
One of the sexiest songs…ever.
Chris was born same month and same year as me, not that it matters. I have been a fan for many years and felt he would be a bigger star than he actually became. Not enough Chris in our lives !
I adore this song and have for a very long time ❤️❤️
