You can take the water cooling off the flycolor and mod it to be thinner with a narrow cooler that level with the sides makes it narrow and cools better anyway.
Thanks, James. I will definitely check my options for the Flycolor mounting! I agree that the default cooling is a bad design and I made a video about it how to mod it with a custom cooling block.
@ that’s funny, I forgot it was your Chanel I got the idea from in the first place. I run 3 tracks over the copper on mine rather than 2 and that esc is still alive running 5s in my 26” rigger at 94 mph.
Luckily, this boat is built tough 😎. Let's see the result with the Flycolor. I don't think the speed controller will increase the speed, but I might be surprised 😎
When you run a auxiliary battery if it gets to low for the esc it will cause erratic behavior of the esc. Just something to check 😉👍🏼 my first boat in the 80's was a Prather lap cat tunnel hull with a K&B 3.5cc outboard on it.
That's an interesting comment, thanks! This was indeed the 1st time I ran with auxiliary battery, and the 1st time I git this throttle issue. They might be connected. Although it could also be that the esc is dying, as the BEC system already failed (the reason I ran with the auxiliary battery in the 1st place).
Might be a stupid question but can I ask what sort of foam do you use inside the the boat during the build process and how you cut it so neatly trying to learn
It's xps hard foam, used in construction for installation purposes. It's easy to cut by a saw blade, and the last bit is just sanded flush with a sanding block
To the best of my knowledge the T800 is CozyRC's own design. It was cut elsewhere and Jan did the cowlings per order. Not an Aliexpress item. He did a sort run and stopped selling the kit. I think I got one of the last ones. But if we keep asking for it?... might come back in stock again?

Cozy my buddy... I got my out rigger I can not figure out then sponsons or pontunes as you would call then the direction suck no details on how to build them can you do a step buy step process for me. I got to order another kit I messed mine up😢
Cozy RC si jamais tu ne veux pas changer de serveau tu peux toujours prendre un flicolor 150a et de retiré les vise et franchement ce n'est pas du luxe car moi je l'ai fait et j'ai changé la plaque de refroidissement si tu regarde bien Il n'y a que 2 conduite d'eau de chaque côté mais au milieu il n'y a pas de refroidissement d'eau donc en le changeant tu améliore le refroidissement donc le fonctionnement est beaucoup mieux et il n'ai plus si large de plus j'ai le même moteur que toi sur mon tunnel et moi quand il y a de l'eau je ne l'ouvre pas mais je le soufre au compresseur à air comprimé et w40 bien mis et puis nettoyé avec le spray nettoyant pour frein et laisser sécher jamais de rouille ou autre j'espère que ce que je t'ai dit qu'il y a quelques choses qui t'aidera si pas ce n'est pas grave et P. S. J'ADORE TON F1 TUNNELS en Belgique on dit qu'il est cozy c'est un genre à bien beau agréable ect 😅😊🎉🎉🎉big up from belgium
frankly I didn't know at first when I told you that I didn't know that there was already someone who had explained to you with the speed controller to improve your cooling and at the same time gain in width and I can guarantee you that it will go much better. I burned 4 of them but since I've done that on the ESC I've never had a problem and I also add 4 to 5 25v capacitors to make a pack cats but I guess you already knew that if I told you this it's because I've done it and it's nickel see you on the bus big up from belgium

Misschien bedoel je wel die video 😉 De breedte is in deze tunnel geen probleem, maar juist de hoogte, omdat de regelaar onder de servo gaat komen. Een Flycolor past in combinatie met een low profile servo. Inderdaad, Cozy betekent gezellig en het is tegelijk ook deels mijn achternaam. Vandaar dat mijn kanaal Cozy RC heet 😎
