Very nice! Reminds me of my E-flight 1200mm T-28, but with a 90mm EDF. It's next on my list, very nice video.

    Yeah man, nice job👏
How does the top of the wings look above the main gears?
Mine had a hump of foam on each wing.

It's a poor design.super thin foam.i cut mine out and put epoxy with carbon fiber strips above the mains then filled with spackle, primed and painted flat white.
I got a arf and put a 1350kv on 8s.got it up to 130mph.flying weight is 8.7 pounds lol.
The speed brakes help slow it down nice.

I never liked this particular version. It sure LOOKS good regarding the scale detail, but it is precisely the attempt to cram all those details into this model that makes it:
    1. a battery hog. The door servos, the lights, the airbrakes all drain a lot of battery to the point that, with a 5000 mAh battery one must be already on landing approach by the time the timer is at 2 minutes, max. And I don't believe in waiting close to 2 hours to charge the battery to get only 2 minutes of flight. The EROEI of this plane is extremely poor (energy returned on energy invested-or the amount of time and prep required for this plane does not justify, for me, the return I got from it-2 minute flights, constant threat of tip stalls, plane has to be babied throughout the flight).
    2. EXTREMELY prone to tip stalling if you so much look at it funny. Because of its weight and the nature of the wings and the design in general, this model won't tolerate things like tight turns, slightly off AOA on landing, or less than perfect landings. And with so much intricate scale detail, it can be quite a chore to repair and restore. Yes, it is prone to violent tip stalls at any moment in flight. It is certainly not your bank and yank plane. It requires the utmost care - in other words, it must be flown as scale like as possible. It is very prone to high speed tip stalls (i.e. turning too tightly even at high speed or pulling hard from a dive). So, to me, it's not a relaxing plane to fly at all. I like to relax when flying, and the 90 mm version is not a relaxing plane given that one must be constantly on guard with it. This plane won't tolerate the throttle being cut on landing approach. Do this and it dies. Power must be all the way to the ground.
And I am talking about the V2 version which is 10 percent lighter than the V1.
This plane would benefit if as much weight as possible were removed, starting with the entire lighting system and door servos.
In this regard, to me, the FMS 70 mm T-45 is a far better plane. It still has great scale looks, is much harder to stall, it does have docile flight characteristics, and does not have unnecessary scale features that add to its weight. And I get at least 3:30 minutes from takeoff to leaving the runway toward the pits. And much more economical regarding batteries. With the price of what the 90 mm ones cost, I can buy 2 - they take just about 40 minutes to charge and the flight times and power from the ducted fan unit allows big air, scale like loops and rolls and Cuban 8s. And all this without the tendency of the 90 mm to tip stall if one is even a bit off with the elevator rates.
And by the way, the 90 mm version has scale inaccuracies regarding decals and other things (missing the bottom rectangular antenna that is located behind the nose gear, decals that were not present in the full size 125 plane, wing roundels too small, fuselage roundels not accurately placed,

Yeah the t-45 can tip stall easily, I have learned that the hard way 🤦🏻‍♂️ .. I was Flying without gyro , I have now installed as3x on new turbine t-45 edition, and it is only activated when landing flaps are deployed ..

@@davidgerlach1132If you are asking me, I reiterate my opinion. While it LOOKS great with all that scale detail (which is not even 100 percent faithful to the original “125” one), it is precisely those scale details that make it unnecessarily heavy and cumbersome to fly. It is also very expensive to operate.
You see, the minimum practical battery is a 5000 mAh 6s, which costs over 100 dollars each. It takes more than 1 1/2 hours to fully charge them, and give you just 2 minutes of flight before you must be on landing approach. To me, the energy returned (flight time) on energy invested (money for batteries, time spent charging them, plane must be babied throughout the flight or it tip stalls fiercely) is not worth it. To me, that is not an enjoyable plane to fly at all.
Put in a higher capacity Lipo and all you are doing is increasing the already heavy wing loading even more for a gain of perhaps one more minute of flight.
The Freewing T-45 suffers tremendously for all these scale details which make it look gorgeous but are totally unnecessary and add unnecessary weight to an already heavily loaded EDF: the air brakes, sequenced doors, lights, plastic pilots…and even when these are all removed, the plane still has such a high wing loading and wing design that makes it extremely prone to tip stall.
