    What I miss on most preamp pedal demos is demoing how well it takes other pedals. Let’s say you want to go a bit heavier or for some other color and want to put a distortion pedal in front, a fuzz or whatever. Since those pedals are qualified for being a key component for nicely portable rigs - no Amp and cab, just a pedalboard - why not demo them like that?
    Beside that the demo itself was nice.
    It’s an awesome pedal.

    Everyday I watch KSR videos counting down the days until my amp is finished. Every video I see gets me more and more psyched. The downside is now I want a Juno and a Ceres.

    This pedal has some great tones. I like the fact that it has 3 channels also. The price is pretty good for what the pedal does.

    Woah this is freaking awesome and with the KSR Eros boost you have metal nirvana pair with the smaller KSR power tube amp and small cab for ultimate portable touring rig. Expensive but still less than a KSR amp.

    Thank you for demoing this unit. I am highly considering it paired with a Mooer Radar as an alternative to something like an AX8 or similar floor solution. The inclusion of a clean channel is something I don’t see in many of the high gain options. It’s a welcome sight here.

    Question: did anybody try to use this pedal for line recording, i.e. : pedal -> audio interface -> amp vst -> cab (ir impulse).
    if yes, what're your thoughts? Is it possible to bypass preamp section in a virtual amp if it makes any sense though. What vst plugins did you use: amp, cab / ir impulses, mic and etc.

    • @jacoobyslaps
      @jacoobyslaps 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      guitarboy4000000 Ah. Gotcha. Modern solid state amps sound pretty good. Take the Orange CR range. I don’t think anyone is investing the time in them because the market for tube amps is so high. Honestly, I don’t see a reason you couldn’t use this circuitry instead of tubes. There is no reason you can’t make a Bogner Uberschall sound like a Bogner Uberschall with technology we have. It’s possible. But the tech is there.

      @@jacoobyslaps I agree the orange or sounds really good, but it doesnt sound exactly like its orange tube counterpart. the evh overdrive, more or less exactly like the big ones, certainly no trace of it sounding solid state. the diezel pedals, exactly like the big boys. this, exactly like a tube amp. i mean if i heard any of those in a mix i would just think like yea standard run of the mill tube amp metal sound. i guess the answer to my question is the companies making the best solid state preamp pedals arent also making ss amps. i know the technology is there, im just waiting for one of these companies to put it together

    Or, you could just unplug that silly toy and use the preamp on the 5150. Seriously, what is the use of this thing? You could run it in to a rack-mount power amp, or run it straight in to your interface and use a power amp simulator and cabinet impulse. It’s another option, but I fail to see how it’s any better than other ways of getting heavy tones.
