Couldn't help but notice: I kind of got put off by changing the microphones in between the different settings in the first half of the video. That just takes away the point of reference which means I don't get an idea of what the different settings actually do. For gear demos like this, sticking to a single core sound might be more viable. It's about the pedal and not about the different mics, after all. Just my two cents. Otherwise cool video as per usual, cheers!

The Eros is the perfect metal boost imo, I have one. Like Ola said, adding bass doesn't kill the tightness, really balanced and useable EQ. The switches are cool, "tight" is cutting too much for me. Definitely more versatile and less squishy than a TS and (obviously) more tweakable than a Fortin Grind. Love it, but keep in mind it's a "metal only" boost because of the bass cut and the clanky high mids.
Heads and cabs, use what sounds best.(personally, 65w Celestion, EM 12). The VanHalen rule applies. The pedal is nice, it is hard to top the blue Empress ParaEq+booster, the tight mode makes it worth a look.
Engls and Mesas always pair well in my opinion, the other way round it`s pretty obvious but Recto top and Engl cab fits great! The Engl XXL version tends to be a bit sterile with some amps, but it`s own tighness fits the Recto quite right

The gain control effects how much the eq effects the tone almost like a volume boost for the 3 band eq. Kyle recommends having the gain at noon to start with.

Laura Pausini, Eros Ramazzotti, Nek, Raffaella Carra, Albano Carrisi (and Romina Power, but she is born in the USA)... and I am just talking about the ones I remember from my youth LOL special mention to Sabrina and her song "boys, boys, boys" that was a huuuuuuuuuuuuuuge sucess in the spanish TV for all the wrong reasons. Would love to see you try out the Zoom Tri Metal TM-01 pedal to hear what you think of it. They were discontinued in 2002 I believe but everyone tells me they have never heard a better distortion pedal.
Did anyone else want to hear Ola bust out into “Seek and Destroy”? Or anything from Kill ‘Em All? This is one of the things I love about Ola’s reviews. Playing to the tone is something that is lost on so many TH-camrs/ reviews.

I used to play with ts+dark terror. Just turn off the ts and switch to single coil and/or lower the vol pot. This way you can either get a clean but still compressed tone or a really juicy crunch.

I have an Engl Pro 4x12 and it sounds awesome with every amp I've used with it.
