Yeah, what's with anime characters being so OP they literally rip apart the fabric of reality? I would like to see more realistic animes where even a simple encounter with goblins (actually quite a danger in-game) is tense and dangerous.

Go to taverns and see if you can hear a rumor about some guy running off with an astonishing armour or a peculiar looking weapon. They will normally tell you some kind of direction, the hills to the west, the plains southwest of town, sometimes they won't tell you a direction but will say something like the forest far from here. After you've heard the rumour you just have to look for an abandoned building, camp, whatever it is in the location they more or less told you to go and fight it, normally at the end of the battle on the loot screen a unique will appear. Don't be confused with the rumours that say there is treasure, those normally contain small stuff like rings or trading items like amber or wood. If you don't find these rumours at the tavers then just go to the wilds and clear random camps until you get lucky. Regardless of what you do finding unique items takes time. Hope this helps.
