I'm 35 years old and even I was born in the wrong decade, lol. I feel anyone who's currently 40 and under who likes this kind of music missed out on everything. 😔
Appreciate the effort putting this together man. Definitely have a few I would have added: - To Hell With The Devil / Stryper - Odyssey / Yngwie Malmsteen and the Rising Force - Great Radio Controversy / Tesla - Hysteria / Def Leppard (I think it qualifies) - Flesh and Blood / Poison - Extreme / Extreme
Glam metal rules! This is the greatest list ever and a majority of your collection brings back the greatest memories from the 80's and early 90's. I love it.
Awesome list man. Keep up the amazing content. Some good glam stuff that comes to my mind (no particular order): - Savage Amusement (Scorpions) - Hungry (XYZ) - On Target (Bangalore Choir) - Point Blank (Bonfire) - Hysteria (Def Leppard) - Slip of the Tongue (Whitesnake) - Crazy World (Scorpions) it's right on the edge of glam metal though. - Firehouse debut - Winger debut - In the Heart of the Young (Winger) - XYZ debut - Mane attraction (White Lion) - Trouble in Angel City (Lion)
Scorpions, Firehouse, Def Leppard, and Whitesnake were not "glam" metal. Whitesnake was bred from Deep Purple, Def Leppard came out of the NWOBHM movement in England (Yes, some were glam there but not Leps), Scorpions are German heavy metal, and Firehouse came out of the Southern hard rock movement. No true 1980s headbanger would call any of those bands "glam".

Great video!! 👏👏 My top 30 (not in order of preference): Van Halen I , Autograph Loud And Clear, Giant Time To Burn, Dokken Under Lock And Key, Harem Scarem Mood Swings, Motley Crue Too Fast For Love, Pretty Boy Floyd Leather Boyz With Electric Toyz, White Lion Pride, Whitesnake 1987, Warrant Dog Eat Dog, Poison Flesh And Blood, Cinderella Long Cold Winter, Skid Row Skid Row, Bon Jovi Slippery When Wet, Europe Out Of This World, Def Leppard Hysteria, Firehouse Firehouse, Mr.Big Lean Into It, Winger Winger, Vixen Rev It Up, Ratt Dancing Undercover, Wig Wam (from norway) Wigwamania, Crazy Lixx (from sweden) No Religion, Rafa Martin (from spain) Corazon De Hierro, David Lee Roth Eat 'em And Smile, Guns n Roses Appetite For Destruction, Van Halen F.U.C.K., Black n Blue Without Love, Danger Danger Danger Danger, Tigertailz Bezerk.
Asylum, Lick it Up and Creatures of the Night are fk great solid albums, but the best Kiss song of the 80s is I've had Enough (Into the Fire) from Animalize (too bad the rest of the album is not at the same level), truly banger.
Love your list Bryce! The 80's were the best of times. I had a great time them going to concerts and parties. Never no problems then either. I sure miss those days.
Man I thought I knew my glam metal but there's a ton of stuff here I have to check out! You should definitely check out the neo-glam scene out of Sweden. Hardcore Superstar, Crashdiet and Crazy Lixx all have amazing albums. Some more sleazy sounding, others going right back to the 80s. Great stuff, like Steel Panther but doing it straight. There's also a bunch of festivals here in Europe where a lot of those guys play, it's really awesome!
All 3 bands you listed kick ass, I own every album from all 3. Check out Hell In The Club, Skull Daze, Catalano, Loud N Nasty and Danger (Rob Nasty singer). There are so many more newer bands that are so great . People that say good music isn't being made anymore are just ignorant.
Seeing Wildside so high on the list is awesome. Such a great band that just came out too late. Also loved seeing Steelheart, Tora Tora, and Heaven's Edge make the list. All underrated bands.
I don’t know if you would consider the band Saraya glam metal but either of their two albums would be high contenders🤘🏼 But awesome list overall man, great dedication to music!

1. Under Lock and Key Dokken 2. Too Fast For Love Motley Crue 3. Out of the Cellar Ratt 4. The Last Command WASP 5. Tooth and Nail Dokken Easily my top 5 favorite glam metal albums!
@@martymartin2894 like BryceTalksMetal, I don't think that glam metal is an insult at all. It is debatable if WASP are considered glam metal or not, but I think they are. And they are good for what they do! I would love to put them in my top 3 for glam metal bands, but my top 3 are Dokken, Motley Crue, and Ratt. WASP are 4th in my opinion.
@@martymartin2894 I will agree that WASP are an awesome band. I'm basically a fan of any rock/metal that is awesome. I'm a massive fan of The Beatles, Green Day, The Who, Iron Maiden, The Jam, Sum 41, CCR, The Cure, Metallica, Sepultura, Megadeth, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Aerosmith, Motorhead, Motley Crue, Dokken, Yellowcard, Judas Priest, and many more.
Ratt and Dokken should be considered for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, but Iron Maiden, Scorpions, and Judas Priest are not even in. You can go fan vote to get Maiden in, but it is just sick that Jann Wenner of Rolling Stone Magazine hates "hair metal" and put in Disco, Rap, Pop, and Grunge instead.
Man, how do I pick 50? Ok, lol, here we go... 1. Ratt - Out of the Cellar, 2. Crue - Shout at the Devil, 3. Twisted Sister- Under the Blade, 4. QR - Metal Health, 5. Great White- Great White, 6.Dokken - Tooth and Nail, 7. Bon Jovi- 7800 Degrees Fahrenheit, 8.Wasp - Wasp, 9. Stryper- To Hell with the Devil, 10. Def Leppard- Pyromania, 11. Cinderella- Night Songs, 12. Kix - Midnight Dynamite, 13. Whitesnake- Slide it In, 14. Crue - Too Fast for Love, 15. Dokken- Under Lock n Key, 16. Ratt- Invasion, 17. Damn Yankees- Damn Yankees, 49. XyZ - XYZ, 50. House of Lords - Sahara.
A few bands had to get two albums each so others got bumped as a result. But I'd also give nods to Autograph- Sign in Please, Keel - The Right to Rock, Night Ranger - Dawn Patrol (even though they are not "glam" if fashion is the qualifications in style but still right in the family musically like Whitesnake, Damn Yankees, Tesla, Badlands) , Helix - Walking the Razors Edge, VH debut set the bar, Y&T - Contagious, Firehouse debut.
This won't be in any order but this is just a big list of some albums I really enjoy. Some may not be considered pure "glam" but I'll still include them. Not limiting myself to a certain number per band either. The ones in all caps are the ones I REALLY like and go back to a lot. There's more and I'm finding new stuff all the time. So much great stuff in this genre 1. Cinderella- Heartbreak Station 2. Cinderella- NIGHT SONGS 3. Cinderella- still climbing 4. Def Leppard- High N Dry 5. Def Leppard- PYROMANIA 6. Dokken- Back for the attack 7. Dokken- tooth and nail 8. Dokken- UNDER LOCK AND KEY 9. Enuff Znuff- strength 10. Europe- Walk the earth 11. Europe Wings of Tomorrow 12. Firehouse- FIREHOUSE 13. Krokus- The Blitz
I have 95 percent of your list, and i saw KISS in concert on the Asylum tour one of the best concerts I ever seen W.A.S.P. open for them just amazing. 🤘🤘🤘
My top 15 is: 1. Metal Health (Quiet Riot, 1983) 2. Skid Row (Skid Row, 1989) 3. Dr. Feelgood (Mötley Crüe, 1989) 4. Whitesnake (Whitesnake, 1987) 5. Condition Critical (Quiet Riot, 1984) 6. Appetite For Destruction (Guns & Roses, 1987) 7. Use Your Illusion I/II (Guns & Roses, 1992) 8. Dirty Rotten Filthy Stinkin' Rich (Warrant, 1989) 9. QR III (Quiet Riot, 1986) 10. Terrified (Quiet Riot, 1993 - an album that was completely stomped into the dirt due to it coming out at the height of grunge) 11. Out Of The Cellar (Ratt, 1984) 12. Stay Hungry (Twisted Sister, 1984) 13. Blizzard Of Ozz (Ozzy, 1980) 14. Girls, Girls, Girls (Mötley Crüe, 1987) 15. Alive And Well (Quiet Riot, 2000 - in my opinion, the last good glam metal album made)
Great list! Happy to see obscurities like Ivory Tower, Joker, Blonz, The Bang Gang, and Hawk get mentions! You should pick up that Heaven's Edge for $18! It's worth it!
Very glad to see Europe on this list! Truly an underrated band that everyone thinks made only one good hit. My personal favorites being Prisoners in Paradise and Wings of Tommorow 🤘
Cool list Bryce. I have quite a few of the albums you mentioned in my collection, but also quite a few I don't. Your video has provided for me a great list of bands to investigate. So that will be fun. You can't go wrong with Ratt - Out of the Cellar at no. 1. I still remember when that album was released. My brother purchased it based solely on the album cover. 37 years later it's an all time favorite. A short time later we got to see Accept, Ratt, and Motley Crue at City Island in Harrisburg, PA. It rained cats and dogs, but it was still fun.
definitivamente tienes buenos gustos musicales y tambien me he perdido a algunos pero gracias a ti los escuchare ahora mismo aparte tengo 2 acotaciones DANGER DANGER y BATON ROUGE
Love to see wildside Babylon ad and heavens edge on there but u cant leave out def leppard and faster pussycat. Also saints and sinners is a solid underrated band, awesome list!
I am a teenage kid when Metal Bands flourished in the 80s but in our country the Philippines were very seldom to get our hands on these obscured Metal albums, I am glad that you mention them on here i gotta check em out right now
Bryce, good list. However, I'm surprised to not see a mention of Icon - Icon. That is a mix of Dokken and WASP and is criminally underrated. If you haven't heard that album, do so. You will dig it for sure.
Excellent list! As a person who was a teenager in the '80s, born in 1973, I think you nailed this. I would have included Shark Island, which is one that I've come to love even more as the years go by, but maybe you don't consider them glam? I totally agree that Dokken and Ratt are the cream of the crop when it comes to glam metal. Keep cranking the great content.
Dudddddeee! Perfect #1!!! Out of the Cellar hands down!!! Great list! Great work as usual! I love how much you love glam. Under lock and key has some of the best riffs and overall songs from those albums you named for sure. You and I have to talk metal sometime!
All good albums my friend. After 30 years of listening to glam metal it’s the albums I still play repeatedly nowadays that I really rate. Winger-Pull, their best album, Enuff Z Nuff- Strength, brilliant songwriting and Lynch Mob, Wicked Sensation, my favorite Lynch material.
🤘🤘HELL YEAH BROTHER!!, I share the exact same opinion and respect for the band SLAUGHTER and their leader Mark Slaughter for his amazing vocals & the collective band members' musicality & writing on that debut album as well!..... All the songs you'd named plus 'Fly To The Angels' are awesome and Mark's vocal delivery on FTTA are top tier phenomenal!🤘🤘
Great list and excellent content as usual. Dokken and Ratt are in a tier of their own for sure. Elite guitar playing. A cool video idea would be to rank their discographies against each other. Tooth and Nail and Out of the Cellar are two of the best metal albums of all time IMO.
Glad to see some old Pantera in there. Those early albums are so underrated and should be reissued. I recently ordered the first 3 Fastway albums. Not sure they qualify as Glam though. Great list. Well done 🍻 🤘.
I hope you ordered the Rock Candy Records versions because they sound fantastic! Well they did remastered issues of 'Fastway', 'All Fired Up' and 'Trick Or Treat' another company released their 'Waiting For The Roar' album back around 2008.
Good list. enjoyed watching. You're missing a few that I love. Stryper To Hell With the Devil and Soldiers Under Command, TNT Intuition and Realized Fantasies, Winger-Pull, Mass- New Birth, 220 Voltz- Eye To Eye, Prophet S/T (1985), Barren Cross- Atomic Arena and Rock for The King, Extreme-Pornografiti and III sides to every story, Yngwie-Trilogy, Bloodgood- Detonation all would have made my top 50. Then I consider Queensryche Operation Mindcrime, Rage For Order, and Empire all in that Genre as well. Def Leppard Pyromania and Hysteria fall in there too. You had a lot of great ones for sure
I prefer the term "Party Metal" over glam or hair metal. That way all the bands from that era are in the mix and you don't have to worry about who isn't eligible for these type of lists. 🤣
👍 great video , I grew up in that era and I have never heard of some of these , incredible knowledge of glam metal Bryce , great times growing up in the 1980s , you should check out the decline of western civilization part 2 movie if you haven’t , really cool movie about the late 80s Metal/glam scene
I can't believe how many of these I have... mostly in cassette. I'm 72. Off to Haight Ashbury when I was 18 ( 1967 ) and was hanging out during the 70s and 80s at the Rainbow in West Hollywood. I'm still rocking and always will be!
I was a ways into watching this and went to hit the like button and realised I'd already watched this one before but I watched it again Bryce. lol You've dug up some great glam bands bud, I can remember being in junior high and buying Metal Edge or Hit Parader magazines etc. each month. Some great memories of searching through all the bands and finding quite a few of the choices you mentioned, it was a great time to be a teenager! Gonna crank some glam metal before the hockey game starts I think! \m/ \m/
And I keep saying, time nd time again, that people can say what they will in regards to glam metal, but at least you could tell the bands apart. Can't do that with too many artists today.
Wow great list...and believe it or not you schooled me on some of obscure bands that I never knew that existed. You could add TNT:Realized Fantasy, Rough Cut and XYZ...I'm subbing tha ks
We are pretty much on the same page. I started selling CDs and records in 1988, and I agree with most of your choices, and especially Ratt and Dokken. The following is a bit lengthy, but I want to list some bands I like... Alien Alleycat Smile Bangalore Choir Banshee Bonfire Brunette Charlemagne Charlotte Child's Play China Rain Cold Sweat Cristeen Cry Wolf Crystal Roxx Danger Danger Dear Diary DeMont Dirty Rhythm Dr. Grind Fifth Angel Gynger Lynn Hericane Alice High Noon Hotwire House Of Lords Hurricane Icon Jailhouse Julliet Keel Kidd Blue Leatherwolf Legacy Legion Lillian Axe Lion Mad Margritt McQueen Street MSG Murder Bay Naked Zoo Naughty Naughty No Shame No Sweat Panther Pink Cream 69 Rattleshake Razormaid Rough Cutt Saints & Sinners Sandra Dee Sgt. Roxx Shake City Shark Island Shy England Silent Rage Strike Twice Sweet FA Sweet Sybil Syanide Kick Tragic Romance Treat Trouble Tribe 21 Guns 220 Volt Tyketto UZI Valentine Wild Horses XYZ
Hanoi Rocks seems to always be left off these lists. Two steps from the move is an amazing album. As well as all the ones that came before it. They were one of the first and did it better than almost anyone else. Practically started the genre and everyone else stole their sound and their look.
Agree, and Mike Monroe's solo album Not Fakin it was amazing too. Hard to pick favourites though, for me, never took to Ratt at all for example.....each to their own eh, really pleased to see Vain in there though, not a mainstream one
Hanoi Rocks- do they though? That’s the big question. As for giving them credit for innovating the poser feminine look for male rock stars (didn’t Michael Monroe just imitate David Lee Roth, who took his shtick from Jim Dandy), the make up and big hair, tight spandex and leather pants for guys- do you really regard all that as a positive? Not sure I do
@@jimmycampbell78 For me, yes Hanoi Rocks rocked, or certainly did whenever I saw them, or Mike Monroe as a solo artist. Of course you are correct, there was influence before Mike Monroe, as you say DLR for example, but I still believe HR helped, in their turn, to influence a number of artists/bands that grew into the hair metal genre being discussed here. And yes, I also think this genre was positive, including bringing Rock/Metal to a wider audience.
Some I would add, Love Hate - Blackout in the Red Room, Lynch Mob - Wicked Sensation, Enuff Z Nuff - Self Titled, Circle of Soul - Hands of Faith, The Scream - Let It Scream, Sea Hags - Self Titled, Black N Blue - Self Titled, Kik Tracee - No Rules, Hardline - Double Eclipse, Kix - Hot Wire, Saigon Kick - The Lizard, Tyketto - Don't Come Easy, Electric Boys - Funk-o-Metal Carpet Ride, Skid Row - Slave to the Grind. Great list though!
Hey Steven! Thought I had every great party metal ("hair metal" term sucks ass! Degrades great music!) album known to man, but after checking out Electric Boys song samples from Funk-o-Metal Carpet Ride, I couldn't get on ITunes fast enough to download and burn to disc this smokin', groove -filled, hook loaded album! Great vocals too! Love to see The Sea Hags mention-their absolutely killer debut is required purchase for hard rock fans-the whole thing smokes! The Scream! Stellar band! Big thanks for turning me on to Electric Boys-I gonna blast it later today! Peace.
@@treffbennett6534 I saw Electric Boys a few times back in the day, they were amazing. If you like that kind of funk metal also check out It's Alive th-cam.com/video/fq-154oofUA/w-d-xo.html. I also saw the Sea Hags once, supporting Georgia Satellites - shame they never made it past one album. You were definitely born in the wrong decade - I was lucky enough to be a teenager in the 80s - we'll never see a decade like it for metal music!
Love these types of videos, I hope you do a top 50 thrash albums. i know you did a top 10 thrash albums but it was a year ago and your video quality has increased so much from then. plus maybe ur top 10 changed since then and i want to see the other 40 you would have.
I would definitely have to have : Vandenberg S/T (1983) Faster Pussycat - Wake Me When It's Over (1989) White Lion - Mane Attraction (1991) Whitesnake - Slide It In (1984) Child's Play - Rat Race (1991) Motley Crue - Too Fast For Love (1982) R.I.P. Tawney Kitaen 😞
Yes, Danger is a good, often overlooked song off of Shout At The Devil. I play that on the jukebox at my local bar every once in a while. I cannot believe Too Fast For Love didn't make your top 50! No Hanoi Rocks either. Don't forget your roots, lol. I forgot about WildSide. That's a great pick, along with Shotgun Messiah. War Babies is a cool album. I used to know the drummer.
I would say check out TNT - Tell No Tales, Saigon Kick - Saigon Kick, Crashdiet - Generation Wild, Hurricane - Over The Edge, Shark Island - Law Of The Order, Tigertailz - Bezerk and XYZ - XYZ.
Good to see some love for Ransom! Both of their albums were strong, though I think the 2nd album had a more cohesive style, and I liked the bluesy direction. But I don't think the songwriting was quite as strong as it could have been. Still, well worth picking up.
Very cool list! I'm kind of surprised that you didn't mention Thru These Eyes from Spread Eagle, its literally in my top 5 songs of all time. Just so amazing how it starts slow and builds up over time, killer riffs and vocals and outstanding lyrics too.
Love it. I have 19 of your top 50. And many of your honorable mentions. Some of the bands you said you don’t consider glam metal, I would actually throw in there. Really good stuff
Sweet list brother! Great work and I am a new subscriber.... Killer Dwarfs, Lee Aaron and definitely first three albums by The Cult (Billy Duffy can shred and another shout out to Matt Sorum) should not be overlooked. I also think Def Leppards Hysteria would be in the Glam wheelhouse.
Some canadien bands like Lee Aaron" Body rock", saints and sinners with Rick huges singin very great album, Killer Dwarf"dirty weapons", harem scarem debut album, and si on...
Winger is full of amazing musicians! Seen them 6 times and kip winger solo 3 times. Anyone who makes fun of them are jealous or delusional Metallica fans lol
@@MIKE197923 yeah I hear ya dude. Just joking around because of the nothing else matters video and things I've heard some Metallica fans say. Jani lane was a great songwriter.
One of your best videos for sure, big bro! Some more albums I came across which are also good: Black 'N Blue - s/t Enuff'Z Nuff -s/t Electric Boys - Funk-O-Metal Carpet Ride Pantera - Power Metal (well, while we are at it, gotta say this is their most solid one from the 80s, can't think of anyone smacking it as hard as Pantera in glam metal, I dunno why it hardly gets recognized, should have been big!) Lillian Axe - Love + War/Poetic Justice Any Glam metal bands you like which are not from the US?
Thanks! A few that come to mind are Shotgun Messiah and Sleeze Beez... Power Metal is indeed their best from the 80s but I wasn’t counting it for this, I think it’s a bit heavier and faster like speed metal
Great list! I would include Hericane Alice in my list. I don't see anyone mentioning them in the comments below so I had to mention them. They only had one album but it is great. Since you like Cats in Boots you would like another band the singer sang in with Quiet Riot drummer Frankie Banali and guitarist Gary Hoey called Heavy Bones. I'm not sure if you would count them as glam or not, but 1980's Loudness had amazing albums. They had big hair in that era and guitarist Akira Takasaki is a beast on the guitar. Since you included 80's Kiss I would argue that Judas Priest's "Turbo" album is a huge glam record too. Guitarist KK Downing had a big perm and even Rob Halford was trying to grow out his hair during this time. The songs were very radio friendly on that album. Bon Jovi were huge in the glam scene too.
Just got Under The Influence by Wildside about two weeks ago and it's a great album. It's been reissued recently and is available on Amazon in case anyone wants to snag a copy. I know it was out of print for a long time and selling for ridiculous prices but now it's out and at normal price. No Def Leppard? I'm kinda surprised. War Babies is a fantastic album. One of my favorites of all time. Shame it was the only one they released. One of the best debuts ever.
Love your videos and that you love glam metal as well as harder thrash type metal. Wanted your thoughts on a band I have not seen you comment on, but I'm not sure what you'd classify them as. Your thoughts on the Norwegian band TNT?
Top fifty is rather hard, too much good stuff, but your list is pretty cool Keep Up the good work, i enjoy your Channel And found out about cool stuff i never Heard of like Ancient Ceremony And Ivory tower. Havent listened to Holly Moses since "Finished with the dogs" years ago but may as Well give them a listen
I knew “out of the cellar” would be #1. Great list man.
As it should be demartini is a god among guitar players, highly underrated. Ratt, alongside dokken have to be one of my favorite glam bands!
Bryce was born in the wrong decade. Such a passion for music.
I'm 35 years old and even I was born in the wrong decade, lol. I feel anyone who's currently 40 and under who likes this kind of music missed out on everything. 😔
@@dereks7745 I understand that feeling as well, dude :((
Same I’m 18 and I love this type of music

I was told the same thing from a former teacher from High School.
Great show! I was the bassist in Diamond Rexx
In 89-90 I did the Rated Rexx and Golden Gates albums. Thanks for the mention at the end.
Proof or it didnt happen
Appreciate the effort putting this together man. Definitely have a few I would have added:
- To Hell With The Devil / Stryper
- Odyssey / Yngwie Malmsteen and the Rising Force
- Great Radio Controversy / Tesla
- Hysteria / Def Leppard (I think it qualifies)
- Flesh and Blood / Poison
- Extreme / Extreme
Glam metal rules! This is the greatest list ever and a majority of your collection brings back the greatest memories from the 80's and early 90's. I love it.
Great list!!!
Other Honorable Mentions....Faster Pussycat , Junkyard and Extreme!!!
Especially the first 2 FP records.
Yeah! Faster Pussycat second album rocks! Pls check out my newborn channel, it will be all about rock and roll 🤟🏻!!!

- Hungry (XYZ)
- On Target (Bangalore Choir)
- Point Blank (Bonfire)

the edge of glam metal though.
- Firehouse debut
- Winger debut
- In the Heart of the Young (Winger)

Winger - In the heart of the young should definitely be in the top 50.
Also Don Dokken Up from the ashes should be there too!!

Dig those picks, a ton of ass kickin' music there. That said, Van Halen isn't glam metal. Cheers!
Solid list. I might pick a few different ones, but agree on most. Would like to see TNT and Faster Pussycat on there though.
Got your number of the bathroom wall! Good call bro!
Pleasantly surprised by the kiss representation on the list, everyone shits on 80s kiss but I think it's the band at their best.
Creatures of the night was a really good album, the title track was killer.
Agreed and props for calling out Tears are Falling... it’s their best live song by far!
I completely agree: Ratt and Dokken are the best two Glam Metal bands... with Ratt being my favorite

Dokken were great during that era, the live album, beast from the east i think its called, was terrific.
@@pfslik They're not hearing anything on the radio- you have to search for them, or word of mouth.
Really great list. You’re well versed in this sub-genre!

Last Command and Inside the Electric Circus are totally Glam Metal albums....
@Bob Stone Dokken is a true hard rock band but due to their us sound fans put them in hair metal groups...like they do with Def Leppard

It rained cats and dogs, but it was still fun.

good list man! gretting from CHILE! love metal, love the 80s and really enjoy your vids!
Surprised Warrants debut didn’t make it anywhere on your list. Good list though and you sure work hard on your channel. Nice work Bryce.
Shark Island is TRES Cool!

I was a ways into watching this and went to hit the like button and realised I'd already watched this one before but I watched it again Bryce. lol You've dug up some great glam bands bud, I can remember being in junior high and buying Metal Edge or Hit Parader magazines etc. each month. Great list man! Invasion of your Privacy to me is Ratts best album cover to cover!
Hanoi Rocks seems to always be left off these lists. Two steps from the move is an amazing album. As well as all the ones that came before it. They were one of the first and did it better than almost anyone else. Practically started the genre and everyone else stole their sound and their look.
I respect their influence but I’ve never been super into them so don’t make my top 50
Absolutely one of my faves. Didn't even think to put them in my reply witch is a massive injustice. Incredibly influential. Great call.

That Spread Eagle debut kicks ALL ASS! So heavy and said to be an influence for Guns N Roses.

Ive been listening to Out of the Cellar at least twice a day for the past 2 weeks
Some canadien bands like Lee Aaron" Body rock", saints and sinners with Rick huges singin very great album, Killer Dwarf"dirty weapons", harem scarem debut album, and si on...
Don't forget to add Triumph!
As much as people might hate it, i love glam metal. It is one of my favorite metal subgenres
What is the name of the Ivory TOWER ALBUM
i was lucky enough to get to fast for love on release day it now sits proudly on my wall
Yeah thats great
Crüe forever!!!
Love that Wildside made the top 10. Great list!
Ratt and Dokken are top 2 glam bands for me too. Rough Cutt 's S/t is a great album that not everybody give the credit it deserves.
Rough Cutt awesome!!!
Poison and Stryper are the two bands that got me into metal
Winger is full of amazing musicians! Seen them 6 times and kip winger solo 3 times. Anyone who makes fun of them are jealous or delusional Metallica fans lol
I'm a Metallica fan and I think Winger is underrated. Reb Beach is a beast!!! Also Warrant is great!
@@MIKE197923 yeah I hear ya dude. Just joking around because of the nothing else matters video and things I've heard some Metallica fans say. Jani lane was a great songwriter.
@@MIKE197923 I like the early Metallica stuff. Kill em all through justice
Great list. Props for Spread Eagle & Shotgun Messiah. But, have you heard of a band named Def Leppard?
One of your best videos for sure, big bro! Some more albums I came across which are also good:
Black 'N Blue - s/t
Enuff'Z Nuff -s/t
Electric Boys - Funk-O-Metal Carpet Ride
Pantera - Power Metal (well, while we are at it, gotta say this is their most solid one from the 80s, can't think of anyone smacking it as hard as Pantera in glam metal, I dunno why it hardly gets recognized, should have been big!)
Lillian Axe - Love + War/Poetic Justice
Any Glam metal bands you like which are not from the US?
Thanks! A few that come to mind are Shotgun Messiah and Sleeze Beez... Power Metal is indeed their best from the 80s but I wasn’t counting it for this, I think it’s a bit heavier and faster like speed metal
Raw Silk "Silk under the skin " 1990 ...a greek band...
Top fifty is rather hard, too much good stuff, but your list is pretty cool
Keep Up the good work, i enjoy your Channel And found out about cool stuff i never Heard of like Ancient Ceremony And Ivory tower. Havent listened to Holly Moses since "Finished with the dogs" years ago but may as Well give them a listen
Awesome and thanks!
Holy Moses ??!!! This is german thrash with Sabina Klaasen on vocals..." Queen of Siam" " New Machine of Leichtenstein" "Word Chaos "
@@user-ns7tv2li1u I know Holy Moses is Thrash, but i am not talking about this video but the Channel where Holy Moses is mentioned quite a lot
@@darkwingsofsteelkeeperofth3154 Τhey were awesome teutonic thrash masters...unique vocals by Sabina and two really mad axmen on guitars...
