Guitar player from Target here. I'm incredibly grateful and blown away by the recent surge in appreciation of our two albums we recorded in the 80's. Thank you for making my day 🤘
These lists introduced me to Target ... I thought I'd heard just about every great thrash band but I was just blown away. Really great stuff. I wish I could find Mission Executed and Master Project Genesis on CD without dropping $75 for the pair though!
dude your work on those two albums is incredible! master project genesis is one of the best thrash metal albums of all time imo, and i think mission executed would make my top 50 as well! you’re a thrash metal legend in my eyes.

@Arcade Kaos those three are definitely Megadeth’s best and it’s hard to put a firm order . To me the mix on countdown edges it out above Rust also it was my first Megadeth album to really get into . My friends were were all into Dave’s other thrash band lol . They didn’t like his voice and honestly I was put off at first but grew to love it . Youth was recorded live and it captured the chemistry that line up had and it sounds incredible Dave’s best vocals for my money . Rust In Peace though it grooves I think it influenced Pantera seriously and the bass performance!!

Now that's a list! I think you've covered everything & I own or have owned pretty much everything on here. Oh, and you listed The Dark by Metal Church twice, so you need one more album to make 100. How about The Human Condition or Feel The Fire?
I honestly had not heard of your band before now. My mistake. Great stuff, man. Cheers. Congrats on getting some of your due finally. I love how these bands range from all over the world. Peace..
Great list, Bryce! Finally someone who talks about Faith Falls by Fallen Angel. Such an underrated and amazing album and band. I will put somewhere in the top 20 For Whose Advantage by Xentrix though. Another great underrated band. Cheers!
Great list Maybe a top 50 Power Metal albums one day? My top 10 1. Rust in peace - Megadeth 2. Evil invaders - Razor 3. Arise - Sepultura 4. Weapons of our warfare - Deliverance 5. Alice in hell - Annihilator 6. Sanity obscure - Believer 7. The years of decay - Overkill 8. Serpent temptation - Opprobrium 9. Peace sells.. - Megadeth 10.Ride the lightning - Metallica
Really cool list! mine would've included Voivod, Forced Entry and Tormentor. Happy to see quite a few canadian bands on your list and a couple bands I didn't know about.
1. Rust In Peace 2. Seasons in the abyss 3. Reign in blood 4. South of heaven 5. So far so good so what 6. Killing is my business 7. Killm all 8. Hell awaits 9. Show no mercy 10. Night of the storm rider 11. Bonded by blood 12. Burnt offerings 13. Among the living 14. Spreading the disease 15. Ride the lightning 16. Master of Puppets 17. And justice for all 18. Peace sells
Peace Sells is my favorite. Really solid album, I understand why put Rust In Peace over it, but the feeling from Chris Poland and Gar Samuelson lineup was incomparable, really made the album what it is and like it a lot.
@@emanuelr.desousa6878That’s because much like Sabbath? They’re playing Jazz music on the majority of those tracks and I agree with you by the by! Sincerely, DJP Anal Cunt; Postmortem and Kilslug Sony; Earache 🇬🇧 Columbia and TAANG!! Records @ ALL RIGHTS RESERVED Boston Massachusetts Amerikkka quite obviously 🙄 Am I right or am I right? Great list. A few bands on there I don't know so will be giving them a listen. Nice to see Artillery high up, doesn't get mentioned much and By Inheritence is superb. Also nice to see another band that never gets mentioned Anacrusis - Reason is my favourite and would be up there in my top 20. I'd pick a few different albums by some of the bands on your list but that's what it's all about. So Far so Good so What and Countdown to Extinction for me for Megadeth.
This is definitely a great list Bryce ! However in my view it is appropriate to include in your list the following thrash metal masterpieces : Holy Terror "Terror and Submission" Whiplash "Power and Pain" Viking "Man of the Straw"
Annihilator's best ones being so high wasn't a surprise, but Razor being up there was. Nice! I like that one too. Cool having a few Canadian thrashers.
My list changes all the time but possibly my top 10 right now are (not in order because that's damn near impossible): Exhorder- Slaughter in The Vatican Exodus- Bonded By Blood Metallica- Kill Em All Megadeth- Peace Sells... But Who's Buying? Sepultura- Schizophrenia Kreator- Endless Pain S.O.D- Speak English Or Die Razor- Executioner's Song Hallows Eve- Tales Of Terror Solstice- Pray For The Sentencing
Nice list. Lots for me to check out because some I know vaguely and a lot I don't know at all. My two favorite thrash albums are also Peace and Rust by Megadeth. I actually have a hypothesis that Rust was so good it actually killed the thrash scene because nobody could or wanted to compete with that album.
Dude I love your videos. Casually found them while watching metal videos and got hooked. You got me revisiting albums I havent heard in a while and new bands I havent listened yet.
Excellent list & agree with most of your selections. Some new bands I will have to check out (Golem, Numb Skull, E-X-E, Fallen Angel, Sacrifice, Target). Great to see Coroner, Whiplash & Paradox on the list. 🤘 from Australia.
I knew your list would be kickass! I was much, much more in tune with your list than the one you reacted to recently! I need to check out a few of these again. :)
Great list! Some amazing bands I'd never heard before so thank you! Have you heard the French bands ADX or Malediction? If not, check out ADX Execution, it's amazing!
Nice variety of bands. Grew up listening to a lot of them. Always watch your content to get turned on to bands I either overlooked or just have never heard of. That said, my only criticism is that SOD's Speak English or Die belongs on here. A freaking landmark album. Hell, their music intro'd Headbangers Ball.
Forget Metal Hammer 50, this was great list Bryce, on the money. Very subjective I know, only omissions for me who I think deserved a shout out would of been Hirax, "Raging Violence" from '85 and Onslaught "The Force"from 86....Great to see Artillery in the mix though. Good job, great content and much appreciated .
Interesting to see a top 50 list of thrash without any Kreator or Metal Church (not even mentioned in the honorable mentions) and leaving out master of puppets as well... Tankard managed to be mentioned in the honorable mentions at least. Don't agree with the list but this is the beauty of personal taste... GJ anyways!
Metal Church is borderline thrash, Kreator was in the honorable mentions and MOP is overrated but it was implied as an honorable mention as I said that the bands I mentioned in the top 50 all have other good albums for the most part when I got to hon mentions. Not gonna sit there forever and list every single album.
@@brycetalksmetal sure but I would argue Metal Church over Iced Earth as thrash anytime. Still I respect you point of view man... it's no disrespect or even criticism. I think it's a different take on a thrash metal list and it's your prerogative to do the list however you want. I like the content and like the video regardless.
I'm looking for more death and thrash bands with those raspy max, Chuck Billy, hetfeild , meshugga type vocals. Any recommended? Big on raspy singers. In fact that's why I even love grunge. Big fan of rasp in the vocals regardless of what kind of metal or rock.
I mentioned The Ritual in the video and how it’s my favorite Testament album but it’s more melodic and not as thrashy so I left it off this particular list.
I just starting to watch and was hoping you limit putting multiple albums from one band..MegaDeth surely yr top pick..no surprises there. Release From Agony is a solid album and my first tape of them.
My top 10 based on first tape i bought from each of this band.. 1)Metallica - AJFA 2)Destruction - Release From Agony 3)Kreator - Extreme Aggression 4)Sabbat - Dreamweaver 5)Paradox - Heresy 6)Flotsam & Jetsom - Doomsday 7)Laaz Rockit - Know Your Enemy 8)Slayer - Show No Mercy 9)Megadeth - So Far So Good.. 10)Death - Leprosy..ableit death metal but lots of thrashing riffs and licks here. 😎😎😎
@@salamwati9281 its my favourite megadeth album. probably cause it was the first one i bought (cause it was cheap compared to the other albums). its a bit more gritty and raw which i like too
I’m usually more of a death/black metal fan so I’m still new to Thrash, and this list was awesome, tons of new stuff for me to check out. Most lists you find out there look just like that Metal Hammer list so this one was refreshing. My current (newby) top ten list would be: 1. Reign in Blood - Slayer 2. Peace Sells… - Megadeth 3. Code Red - Sodom 4. Nightmare Logic - Power Trip 5. Rust In Peace - Megadeth 6. Release From Agony - Destruction 7. Handle With Care - Nuclear Assault 8. Coma of Souls - Kreator 9. Show No Mercy - Slayer 10. A Call to Arms - Gospel of the Horns
For a 'newbe' in thrash your list is well done,I mean you put two albums of Slayer in top 10,best metal album ever on 1st and the rest of the list is ok-so KEEP THRASHING!!!!
1) Rust in peace 2) Season of the abyss 3) Raining blood 4) Ride the lightning 5) Killem all 6) So far so good so what 7) Master of puppets 8) South of heaven 9) Bounded by blood 10) Peace sells
I only have 6 albums on this list. Found Arise and Shovel Headed Kill Machine at the Arlington, TX music store recently.I have so much to find and listen too. Thanks for the kick ass channel.
Excellent work Bryce. Watching the video, i already knew your N.1. My list would have included a couple of Kreator and Exciter albums. Need to get more Coroner. I only own Grin so far, and it's excellent 🤘. Another band i haven't invested into yet is Holy Moses. Have a great week 🍻.
Wicked list my man. I was keen on it since I checked out 'Gollum' by Protector, a pick which you gave on another channel & which impressed. I thought: 'What else does he have in his basket that I haven't heard yet?' &, indeed, you do not disappoint here. Working my way through some of these. Hails!

Lot of things I’ve never heard before and Nuclear Assault brought a smile, but I have to give my hat’s off to Annihilator. Having seen them live… Jeff Waters is a beast. Hard to wrap my head around how fast, technical and super clean his playing is. Megadeth (Rust in Peace) was a fav as well. Thanks again. I got plenty to listen to.
@@jedrusnowak3317 I had the good fortune to see Annihilator twice during that era. Once opening for Testament and once as headliner (for Neverland). It was jaw dropping to watch him run across across the stage as he played. One of the best guitarist I've ever seen. Honestly.
You and I have many different opinions and views on the top 50 albums of Thrash, as it should be, but your list kicks the crud outta that Metal Hammer list, lol. It's great how many more obscure bands are on your list that deserve a momentary spotlight. I particularly loved your list from 40--50. Ticket To Mayhem, Release From Agony, The Ultra-Violence & Tapping The Vein are phenomenal albums (and all better than any Anthrax album in my humble opinion). Your #39 is my #1. Arise is my favorite all time Thrash album! Love that album. Of course it is hard to take Rust In Peace out of the #1 slot, but I just gotta grit my teeth and do it. I really dig Sacrifice too. I find it interesting that you picked their 1st & 3rd album, skipping Forward To Termination. However, I agree with you. Nothing in their discography beats that atmosphere of Torment In Fire for me. You should check out (if you have not already) None Shall Defy by Infernal Majesty. These Canadians may be even more evil than Sacrifice. Haha. Violent Restitution deserves all the praise it can get. What a great thrash record! Not including one 80's Kreator album in your top 10, let alone top 50 is a wild oversight. Ah, i see it wasn't an oversight; it was a considered decision. Wild! And I think South Of Heaven is a superior album to Seasons In The Abyss. 50. Dying To Exist -- Hatchet 49. Carnivore -- Carnivore 48. Darkness Descends -- Dark Angel 47. I had to start putting in borderline black metal bands. But in my defense, the 2 album rule doesn't really allow me to put down my real list. I wouldn't abuse it with 9 Slayer albums, lol, but I would've also included Feel The Fire, Killing Is My Business..., Persecution Mania, Enemy Of God, Kill em All, Hell Awaits or Show No Mercy.

I agree with most of your groups and many of your releases. I'll hafta put together a list. I'll get back to you. Great picks, brother!
I'm amazed how much metal you know man. I'm gonna look for some of those records I haven't checked yet.
Thanks for the advice and opinions
Awesome list man! Props for doing this🤘🤘
Great video, Awesome shirt. my favorite Loudness album
Exhumer...Possessed By Fire! 1986...German thrash/speed metal. Title track, great guitar tone and vocals..🖤🖤
Yep, great album
I honestly had not heard of your band before now. My mistake. Great stuff, man. Cheers. Congrats on getting some of your due finally. I love how these bands range from all over the world. Peace..
Nice list. This brought back a lot of memories. I really like the way you do these lists.
Great list, Bryce! Finally someone who talks about Faith Falls by Fallen Angel. Such an underrated and amazing album and band. I will put somewhere in the top 20 For Whose Advantage by Xentrix though. Another great underrated band. Cheers!
Very cool to see someone your age with this type of knowledge. Make America Metal Again
Wargasm - Why Play Around? Better be on the list!
Great video dud!
Great list

Cheers 🥂PS: I am right lol
I bless and approve this top 50.
Great video man 🤘🏻
I knew most of these, but so I didn't know, thanks for showing me new music
This must have been a really difficult list to put together, I'll definitely have to check out some of these that I've never heard of before.
Nice to see SHKM getting some love. That’s my all time favourite Exodus album as well.
Great choices on here man.
This is definitely a great list Bryce ! However in my view it is appropriate to include in your list the following thrash metal masterpieces :
Holy Terror "Terror and Submission"
Whiplash "Power and Pain"
Viking "Man of the Straw"
Living Death also killer German thrash, Tankard too, plus Razor(Canadian) thx 4 expanding people's awareness on good thrash metal music!!
This is a great list!
Great list, I have most of these albums you cover
I think you nailed it, man. Subscribed🤘
Great list dude
Annihilator's best ones being so high wasn't a surprise, but Razor being up there was. Nice! I like that one too. Cool having a few Canadian thrashers.
Shotgun Justice is my 2nd favorite thrash album, #1 is Devastation - Signs of Life
But where r Canadian Thrash greats EXCITER!???
This is a much better list than the Metalhammer article!
My favorite thrash albums have always been the 3 „R‘s“:
RUST IN PEACE
RIDE THE LIGHTNING
REIGN IN BLOOD
Starting ur thrash metal album with an r will guarantee success
READING THE DISEASE

Definitely gotta check out a few of the band songs your list man fuck yeah 🤘🏽
Great list!!!
You keep on mentioning Belgium band Target....now I’ll check em out, glad you put Holy Moses up there, they are still so overlooked
#11…finally Razor gets some acknowledgement for Violent restitution. It’s one of my favorites of the genre and definitely their best! Great choice!!!
It's my #2 from Razor, I prefer Shotgun Justice
Great List!
Death Angel, Whiplash & Toxic Circus and Forced Entry..All great thrash bands...Sacrifice also huge fave of mine!!
My list changes all the time but possibly my top 10 right now are (not in order because that's damn near impossible):
Exhorder- Slaughter in The Vatican
Exodus- Bonded By Blood
Metallica- Kill Em All
Megadeth- Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?
Sepultura- Schizophrenia
Kreator- Endless Pain
S.O.D- Speak English Or Die
Razor- Executioner's Song
Hallows Eve- Tales Of Terror
Solstice- Pray For The Sentencing
👍 keep it UP. Great job 👏! 👍💯
Damn good list ,great bands awesome
Thanks man 👍🏻
The ritual from Testament is just so underrated, so many good songs on that album…
That’s because that album really isn’t thrash
good shit I'm going check out alot. of these big shout out wacthing vids recently got me into enforcer big time thier the shit. loudness too
Great list.
U didn’t mention it, but Idolatry by Devastation is a super deep cut and it’s some of the best thrash I’ve ever heard, whole albums great
Love Idolatry, but I like Signs Of Life even better
Nice variety of bands. Grew up listening to a lot of them. Always watch your content to get turned on to bands I either overlooked or just have never heard of. That said, my only criticism is that SOD's Speak English or Die belongs on here. A freaking landmark album. Hell, their music intro'd Headbangers Ball.
I can't even begin to start a top 10 much less a top 50 list like this so props to you🤘
Love to see Laaz Rockit in there! Great list
was hoping to see bonded by blood but still great list Bryce!
Hate Fear And Power is my favorite Hirax album
Good call on The Force though, #11 on my list
Oh man can’t believe you’ve missed the greatest thrash metal album of all time off your list…Dreamweaver by Sabbat. Its unbelievably good
Nice opinion
I checked out Anacrusis after hearing you talk about them on your collab With Sea of Tranquility, awesome stuff!
Release From agony! Hell yes
I dont know most of the albums shown here -- but I very much love the variety of covers
Great list ! As a 50 year old life long metalhead, you turned me on to many bands i never heard ,gonna listen to one a day on my way to work
Check out WARFECT
I love the artwork on the album cover. really interesting to look at. something like judas priest
May all Earth's warheads rust in peace.
I'm looking for more death and thrash bands with those raspy max, Chuck Billy, hetfeild , meshugga type vocals. Any recommended? Big on raspy singers. In fact that's why I even love grunge. Big fan of rasp in the vocals regardless of what kind of metal or rock.
Do you consider walls of jericho by helolween a thrash album? And if you do where would you rank it?
I wasn’t counting it…
Oh man Bryce! Great list! Grew up on a lot this. Still exploring a lot of this. Glad I finally checked out Holy Moses! Thank you for that.
Some very good stuff indeed , but no place for the ritual by testament or something wicked by nuclear assault ?
I mentioned The Ritual in the video and how it’s my favorite Testament album but it’s more melodic and not as thrashy so I left it off this particular list.
Can't argue with your #1 and #2, both albums are truly untouchable.
I just starting to watch and was hoping you limit putting multiple albums from one band..MegaDeth surely yr top pick..no surprises there. Release From Agony is a solid album and my first tape of them.
Any recommendations like Coroner, Artillery, Vektor? Technical with phenomenal riffing
Paradox from Germany
My top 10 based on first tape i bought from each of this band..
1)Metallica - AJFA
2)Destruction - Release From Agony
3)Kreator - Extreme Aggression
4)Sabbat - Dreamweaver
5)Paradox - Heresy
6)Flotsam & Jetsom - Doomsday
7)Laaz Rockit - Know Your Enemy
8)Slayer - Show No Mercy
9)Megadeth - So Far So Good..
10)Death - Leprosy..ableit death metal but lots of thrashing riffs and licks here.
😎😎😎
9)...so what!?
@@djberryhardkore i know weird choice but somehow it resonates with me well..😎
@@salamwati9281 its my favourite megadeth album. probably cause it was the first one i bought (cause it was cheap compared to the other albums). its a bit more gritty and raw which i like too
I’m usually more of a death/black metal fan so I’m still new to Thrash, and this list was awesome, tons of new stuff for me to check out. Most lists you find out there look just like that Metal Hammer list so this one was refreshing. My current (newby) top ten list would be:
1. Reign in Blood - Slayer
2. Peace Sells… - Megadeth
3. Code Red - Sodom
4. Nightmare Logic - Power Trip
5. Rust In Peace - Megadeth
6. Release From Agony - Destruction
7. Handle With Care - Nuclear Assault
8. Coma of Souls - Kreator
9. Show No Mercy - Slayer
10. A Call to Arms - Gospel of the Horns
For a 'newbe' in thrash your list is well done,I mean you put two albums of Slayer in top 10,best metal album ever on 1st and the rest of the list is ok-so KEEP THRASHING!!!!
This is going to be my go to list , I want to delve into way more thrash metal and this is going to help big time .
Thanks for new musics these underrated bands are killer!
1) Rust in peace
2) Season of the abyss
3) Raining blood
4) Ride the lightning
5) Killem all
6) So far so good so what
7) Master of puppets
8) South of heaven
9) Bounded by blood
10) Peace sells
I was glad he mentioned Demoliton Hammer, and Attomica
Now this is a proper list 🤘🤘 great to include a ton of obscure and underrated thrash bands.
Gonna have to check out that Faith Fails
I only have 6 albums on this list. Found Arise and Shovel Headed Kill Machine at the Arlington, TX music store recently.I have so much to find and listen too. Thanks for the kick ass channel.
Great list! Among the Living should be much higher. No Pleasure to Kill or did I just miss it?
Thanks and wasn’t in my top 50… mentioned Kreator in the honorable mentions though
Really cool List. My one would be probably Slayer South of heaven or Iced earth Stormrider. Great Video
Try Coroner's No More Color. The song Die by My Hand is falking brilliant.
I can't remember the last time I saw a cassette...God I feel old, lol. Excellent list, though!
Wasn't expecting to see ritually abused on here. Very under appreciated

Just imagine how he played back in neverland tour in 90's he played even better
@@jedrusnowak3317 I had the good fortune to see Annihilator twice during that era. Once opening for Testament and once as headliner (for Neverland). It was jaw dropping to watch him run across across the stage as he played. One of the best guitarist I've ever seen. Honestly.
@@darcyshouldice5076 iconic style he has
You and I have many different opinions and views on the top 50 albums of Thrash, as it should be, but your list kicks the crud outta that Metal Hammer list, lol.

Ok, that was hard as hell.
Have you heard the Belgian youngsters of Evil Invaders? Curious what your opinion would be!
Yes they’re pretty cool
Thanks for this, this makes much more sense than the Metal Hammer version.
I love your haircut ❤
