    you can tap the mold on the counter a couple times while pouring and after pouring to help get rid of air bubbles. Also if you use muffin trays, it is better to grease them or use wax paper. Sometimes its hard to get the soap out after (from my experience). And yes, too much food coloring may dye skin a bit, but I have heard others say its fine.

    Everyone saying "don't use food coloring" because it will stain your skin, no, it won't stain your skin because of the oil and shower gel, if you choose to make this and don't use oil or the gel than it will most likely stain your skin, great video Miibooth.

    So the key is to just add enough water to cover the grated soap

  • @pauldilley8974
    @pauldilley8974 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    For speed I chopped then up bigger and then just used my blender to turn them into the size of grains of rice - now soaking :)
    EDIT: After soaking for a while it had clumped and turned lumpy, I blended again until smooth and left for further soaking. Then I'll heat.
    Thanks for this video, I travelled quite a bit and each time I kept the soap(s) I opened from the hotel (since they usually just throw them away). After 10 years they take up a large tub, I've split them into three batches (three different scents and colours).

    The soap you have melted isn't really soap, it's a mix of detergent bars. That's why it behaves how it does when trying to melt, pour and set. However I think it's a great way of recycling those slivers that we all get fed up with breaking into little pieces and end up binning, so it's great to see a way of reusing those too.
