Fir the first time i bought a tmaxx 2.5 roller a 3.3 roller for xtra parts doing a nitro conversion to electric. These vids are SOOOOO helpful omgosh. In getting accustomed to all the parts. So glad you posted these. Thank you very much
Hey Carl, thank you very much for the kind words. I did try to go as in depth as I could (without becoming boring) and try to cover things that I had heard questions on over the years. I'm glad it has helped out! www.Rc-Help.com
Hey thanks for the useful videos. I've had a problem with my T-Maxx 2.5R not shifting into second gear. I actually discovered that the spring (at 13:04) was twisted and stick in the thread, so the arm couldn't fling out even at high revs. Really interesting!
Sounds like the grub screw was either screwed in too far or it had the wrong spring in it. My money is it was just tightened down too tight. Hope you got it fixed though!
I no my 15 pro trans inside an out lol could probably do it blind folded. Taken it apart so many times for getting things or when I converted mine to electric. Very nice vids your vid are actually what i used when I first opened my tmaxx up.
That is the way I am now. When I did the first video, I was not that familiar with them. I could take them apart and work on them, but if I didn't have to, I didn't. And in that first series, I looked at what was inside, it all looked (and was) good so I just skimmed over it. But email after email, post after post, I figured I needed to do an in depth series on this transmission for those just learning. So there are 3 of them in total. This one and two more. I'm hoping they answer all questions that people may have in the future that want to learn about them. And it is awesome that you used my first videos to get your truck going. Exactly the reason I keep doing these videos. Thank you for commenting. www.Rc-Help.com
@@RcHelpDotCom same here I have 2 electric an 2 nitro revo 3.3 an classic tmaxx bone stock an man it's a pain sometimes so I'll grab the revo 3.3 an get that ahh feeling lol but I love my pain in the ass 15 😁
I probably should have taken the transmission apart on my 2.5 but it was a bit more than I wanted to delve into at that time. Now I'll have to completely disassemble the truck to get it out if something happens. Man I need to go burn the rest of the fuel I have. Not sure how long it lasts but I'm sure it will go bad.
Nitro fuel for these Rc cars and trucks is hygroscopic meaning it absorbs water. So over time it will loose it's power. But, if you can seal it really well, it should last quite a while. Which is a good thing since nitro fuel has went up in price thanks to the trade crap that we are dealing with with China. I was quoted $50 a gallon or more for nitro fuel by the gallon at the LHS when I was there this weekend. I told them I would pass.

Your videos are the best on the web. No one show's or explains how things work like you very informative.😁
