This was my all time favorite museum experience. The fact that it is all dedicated to one artist, the museum was designed by that artist, he was one of my favorite artists and the town where it is located all made the experience unforgettable. We were in Interlaken, Switzerland on vacation and took the train to Gruyeres. What a cool little medieval town. Very few tourists, surrounded by beautiful countryside and cows with their bells. It was truly a perfect day. There was a castle to explore, we had fondue and wine. I spent two hours in the museum and didn't want to leave. The floors are all Giger designs. The stairs all creaked. There are twists and turns. It goes on and on. And the art...the world of Giger is something to behold in person. And after the museum you can walk across the cobblestone street to the Giger Bar. I had a Nostromo cocktail and a Facehungger shot. Goddamn I was happy.
I feel the same... we visited the museum and bar last week on holiday. Was the ONLY reason why I went to Switzerland. My wife and I spent nearly 4 hours inside the museum. Completely mesmerised. Was a life changer for me! Gruyeres is such a wonderful place, and the view from the chateau was insane. As you said...unforgettable, is an understatement. Cheers!
All Hail The Dark Master. His hands produced wonders, and his mind saw such things as the spoken language could never come close to expressing. Such mastery. Seeing the Joe Coleman works was spice on the meal. Delicious.
Wow I would love to see this place in person. We used to have a haunted house in the industrial area of Kansas City, Mo (West bottoms) a place called Catacombs someone took the time to airbrush a entire room in the style of Giger I loved working that room. It also helped me develop a appreciation for his work.
Nico, I live near one of Anton Lavey's "houses" (creepy ass house) that he built here in eastern north carolina. I managed to get inside & found some books, a baphomet statue, and more. Would you be interested in anything?
thank you for sharing this one of my favourite artists love his work

That's awesome!
The art on display here is fascinating. Absolutely incredible what he could produce. Thank you for giving us an in-depth look of the museum.
On my bucket list to visit. Have Lil tattooed on my right shoulder and am getting both arms slowly sleeved with his bio mechanical artwork.

*_I believe it was Müggi III that was the cause of Giger's fall._*
Am I allowed to take photographs with my phone here??
that is beautiful
Truly magnificent.
*_Next time, use a higher shutter speed._*
Foreal foreal!
6:19 Yeah I don't know about that... Didn't know there were people who still support things like this so blatantly
That isn't in the Giger museum is it? Bad look..... Get it out of there.
@@ScottLSimon Yes it is in the museum. Those various art pieces are all Giger's personal art collection of his own.
So graphic and hypnotic !
The table ... The rendez vous of the beast !
Visited this video for statues of aliens. Stayed for Baphomet 😊
