It is meant to create a vacuum effect on the outside so they scoop up the air from the inside and throw it out on the outside :) I just saw this in the installation papers of my AP racing brakes and almost did it wrong aswell haha

Mines is 328mm I believe. But for the 18” wheels, 355 fills it up better. My buddy just upgraded to those on his 18” Volks
Did you put your rotors backwards?
I actually put them in the direction that scoops up air when moving forward. I was told that’s how it should be for optimal cooling
