    May I know how tall are you in CM ? I am planning to get this but I am afraid of the wheel would be too high for me. Btw I'm 175cm tall

    • @caaarlos
      @caaarlos  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Well, depending on how tight the fit is on your Actifit, you might end up tightening it up hard enough that you'll appear taller than me.
      After using the actifit for a while I noticed I tended to leave it a bit loose, and I even had some screws that hold the back arms in place dig a bit into the actifit due to leaving it a bit loose on the bottom side.
      This was to compensate for the fact that I am 1,95m (195cm), on the tallest side.
      The wheelbase could've been slanted a bit higher because it was a bit low for me, which feels nice on the arms/chest muscles. But for driving on my new rig I ended up putting the wheelbase a tiny bit higher.
      (shorter ppl like my 1,55cm gf need a pillow under them otherwise they will have the wheel almost in front of their eyes, almost like in f1)

      @@caaarlos profile is mostly for those that are very ocd about miniscule movement/flex and if you want ability for a bunch of attachments otherwise this playseat is probably a better solution. I also have playseat challenge and that was a complete no go for me its all over the place.

      OFC it's getting expensive and out of hand but man Sensation is the right name you sit on it and it does feel quite special.
      I've sat in at least other 3 aluminium profile w bucket seats. Only 1 of those 3 felt that good.

    eu comprei o meu recentemente mas não acho confortável. o banco afunda muito em baixo. como se aplica o suporte lombar com velcros?

    • @caaarlos
      @caaarlos  ปีที่แล้ว

      A posição sentada é sempre bastante baixa e o normal do banco é ter o coxis a menos de 1 palmo de distancia do chão. A barra de velcro ajustável coloca-se na parte de baixo dos braços da "cadeira" atrás, de forma a suportar a parte inferior das costas, perto do rins, um pouco acima ou abaixo dependendo das dimensões de cada pessoa.
      Nesta foto é possível ver a barra melhor, uma vez que esta edição a barra tem texto e cor.
      Mesmo nas fotos da caixa do playseat é possível ver a barra embora eu me tenha esquecido de mencionar melhor uma vez que passa de forma discreta.

      @@joaopedroparedes3357 Espero que resulte, Abraço!
      Os velcros da parte inferior do banco, não os recomendo "extremamente" apertados mas sim apertados na posição do tecido adesivo. Pode parecer contra intuitivo mas o material actifit extremamente apertado e firme irá causar desconforto.
      Funciona como uma cama de rede entre 2 palmeiras, o efeito do tecido solto e da distribuição do peso do corpo pelo tecido é que causam conforto e o tecido moldar-se ao corpo.
      Se o material estiver muito esticado e firme, não vai ceder nem moldar-se ao corpo e a sensação pode ser diferente do desejado.

    Boas a cadeira continua rígida ou já comecou a dar problemas?

    • @caaarlos
      @caaarlos  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A cadeira continua bastante rigida.
      No manual não existe grande info nem nos videos, sobre quão apertado se deve colocar o velcro, mas após experimentar um pouco considero que os velcros têm areas designadas de aderencia onde é ideal alinhar perfeitamente os velcros para uma distribuição de peso uniforme.
      Creio que li online de alguns utilizadores que rebentaram o actifit por não usarem a strap nas costas e travarem com muita força.
      A strap pode vir disfarçada na caixa, quando se abre da primeira vez convem pesquisar bem todo o conteúdo no meio do esferovite. Até já vi reviews em que o user não tinha a strap e isso é muito mau.
      A strap dá uma rigidez incrível na zona das costas, ajustavel a gosto, eu prefiro bem apertada.
      Em todas as baquets em perfil de aluminio que me sentei há uma sensação distinta de apoio e força na zona inferior das costas, exactamente no lugar onde fica a strap. E para mim essa rigidez garante que não me movo na travagem e ajuda a sentir a pressao da travagem.
      De momento usei os V3 com BPK e os TLCM, ambos na dureza máx. E eventualmente penso em adquirir os HE Sprints ou VRS. Não estou muito preocupado com o actifit não aguentar essas travagens.
      Além disso, com 5€ dá para comprar straps adicionais em qualquer loja de hardware ou com equipamentos de desporto, com ridigez boa e capacidade de prender, é possivel tornar o material literalmente indestrutível através de 5mins de DIY e meio neurónio de ideias.
      Neste momento gostava de vender este para ter o Sensation Pro deles, apenas por questões estéticas e porque é mais prático para ter diferentes pessoas a sentarem-se no mesmo cockpit (visto que com 1,95m ninguém usa as minhas medidas).
      Mas ando para publicar um video até algo cómico onde troco a configuração dos pedais entre duas sessões da mesma corrida no AC.
      Esta capacidade de ajustar os pedais tão rápido é que nunca vi em nenhum outro cockpit, e a unica forma de a ter é comprando um pedal slider aparafusado a uma baseplate independente e ridigda que fiquem adequados para esse efeito.
      Ainda assim o slider não terá ajuste de angulo imediato nem forma de "memorizar" settings.
      Caso nunca mais adquira outro cockpit acho que posso modificar este para levar com uma baquet com slider facilmente mas vou ficar sempre agradado com a zona dos pedais, acho mesmo incrível o design.
      Os V3 é que me desagradam mais que o cockpit em si, porque o design parece feito para pedais de secretária, estão muito angulados para trás como se fossem para ser usados no chão como uns pedais logitech, tive que usar os extensores para os tentar deixar o mais prox possível de um angulo de 90graus.
      Com este cockpit consigo atingir e até ultrapassar o angulo de 90 graus mas a baseplate dos pedais fica sempre inclinada e isso é do design dos pedais em si, enquanto pedais estilo Heusinkveld já são mais direitos de origem porque estão projectados para cockpits.
      Além disso mesmo nesse tipo de pedais, convem sempre usar as baseplates recomendadas das marcas dos pedais para garantir rigidez e uniformidade da plataforma inferior.
      O angulo dos V3 chateou-me tanto que eu inicialmente quase que gostava mais dos TLCM só pela imediata sensação de conforto inicial e familiaridade. Mas de momento está tudo configurado o melhor possível e até tenho treinado heel and toe para fazer um video.
      ... ufa. Acho que devia fazer nova review, desta vez em portugues lol

    • @caaarlos
      @caaarlos  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, tks for the comment. Well there are more important things to consider in a cockpit and for me cable management goes to the bottom of that list. Yes there won't be any velcro straps for cables but that is something cheap and meaningless anyone can easly get.
      If you have limited space, want a sturdy but lightweight cockpit, want breathable actifit, etc those are way more important topics.

    You can see flex when Will tested this for Boosted Media he used a DD1 as well. You must not be able to perceive it though which is good, but it is there and would dull some of the force feedback. Easy fix if it bothered you would be to just use less Nm.

    • @caaarlos
      @caaarlos  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I tend to use the ffb nm really high, sometimes too high to the point where it becomes like a gym workout.
      Even on my "new" SimLab GT1evo, I can make the base support shake a bit in some videos.
      I just researched about it online and it was because the previous owner mounted the baseplate without the shims between the big screws and the part.
      I just fixed it recently and I do have some ideas on how to reinforce both sides of the aluminium profile but I can't find a local metalworking company that would provide me the hardware parts needed.
      When I get a change to record another video with a wider view I'll be sure to check the vibrations.
      But I'm getting the feeling that unless you do some insane reinforcing and get a specially good base support system, using close to 100% of full nm of high end bases is very demanding on any cockpit.
      Beware of high FFB, I'm close to 1,95m tall (6feet5) take prozis fusion whey, creatine, LMB6, omega3, and around 100g to 150g of protein every day. For me using 75% (15nm) with a 270mm wheel like the small formula v2.5 is a fun challenge and I do enjoy feeling the extra details and the rawness of the experience but depending on ergonomics and grip it can mess up the wrists.

    • @TheDoctor46vr
      @TheDoctor46vr 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I found a video just before of someone who reinforced the pedal plate to the point where it doesn't move anymore! He used extra profile metal and made it himself! You will find it if you search for Playseat Trophy Pedal Plate.
      I would always try to find what ever Nm and kg of force would be most realistic for which ever car I would be driving.

    Really love this setup. I recently got into VR racing so this kit seems sturdy and sleek enough to save some space and not be an eyesore. Have you tried VR yet? It really is a game changer.

      @caaarlos  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, the simple setup lets me focus more on the racing itself. I do wish I had a beefy enough PC to try VR with decent/passable graphics while recording. Went with a 240hz 0.5ms 32inch curved also due to limited space.

    • @caaarlos
      @caaarlos  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@danceoffAsh IDk but i don't think it's even possible on this earth to have specs to run a title like ACC at 240 frames. Even in modded AC if I get 120-140 range I'm lucky, wich is good enough. But 0.5ms is crazy, another level: you don't feel any input lag from the hand steering on screen when aligned to your irl hand.
      I tought it was 1080 but recently I've had the option to go 1440 wich makes the image smoother but my win10 configs recomend the 1080.
      I have to admit that with the 5600x at 1440 I start to struggle. Going lower than 90fps gives me a noticeable performance decrease on track since movement loses "flow". It's hard to describe.

    This is great man!, Looks dope the setup. How is the seat holding up so far? Does it has any wobble while playing?. I am between this exact one you got and the Playseat Evolution PRO - Red Bull Racing Esports. What do you think? Cheers!

    • @caaarlos
      @caaarlos  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      From what I've seen, and I've seen a Playseat Evolution live, I would not recommend that one.
      The pedalplate only has 1 support point. If you are using loadcell brake like the TLCM or the V3 it will most likely flex even more than if you just had the pedals bolted on some big wood plank on the floor with the weight of your chair on top so the pedals didn't lift from pressing hard.
      The same can be said for the wheelbase mount.
      Mind, I have a DD1 with full torque unlocked and with the "peak torque" setting where my FFB spikes will actually spike up in the base.
      I've ran 75% of FFB power in base and 65% on AC, wich is very high. I wasn't able to deal with this forces for long as it can get painfull to the wrists but cockpit has been steady since day one.
      I also have the nylon strap that comes in the package I didn't knew what to do with it but it is used for lumbar support around the kidney area and the manual does display a picture with it in place, just not any instruction on how to put it there but it is pretty simple and intuitive.
      I have to say my main concern would have been the "chair" but so far so good. If you come home tired and sit here you might fall asleep.
      At this point in time I've been using it everyday and I cannot find anything bad to complain about this cockpit. Gl Hf

      I think I used the Thrustmaster TLCM with both hard red springs and later on other videos the Clubsport V3 with Brake Performance Kit (hardest elastometer setting on manual). On both the load cell settings were maxed (100kg and 90kg respectively).
      If there was flex in the structure I wasn't experienced enough to sense it at the time while driving, I did add another strap on my back to reinforce the actifit and make it feel tighter.
