I don't go on work trips though I still try to pack light when going on vacation. I'm hoping that you are home safe and not affected heavily by Helene.
We got home just in time luckily. Thank you! I think I would just use my carry-on next time especially since overhead bins are larger now. It was just so crammed in my backpack that I had to iron everything when I got in. Stay safe as well!
@@ManageableLiving Thankfully it swung out more east and we missed getting hit dead on. We were having some issues but nothing near as bad as up in NC :( Soon as I heard you were traveling there I was like "oh no, we need a check in". Glad you're all right! I've never even flown before :) it's on my check list one day...
I always try to pack as light as possible since I am a pain patient. My sister is the opposite and always looks like burried under all her bags. But we really dont need much (and if i stay somewhere longer, I can alsways wash, either per hand or at the laundrymat). I used to either forget stuff (like, reeeeally important things like meds so I had to go to the doctor at the destination) if i did not start packing, like, a week early until I made a list which I use every single time. Since its always the same list, I have it down to a "t" now.And now, I can comfortably pack without fear of forgetting things.
My boss will have a checked bag even if it's literally a one day trip. Not even an overnight. I hate feeling so encumbered and honestly even with my back pack I gate checked free (not unusual) on the way there. The way back I refused to gate check just so I could get off the plane and go straight to my vehicle. 🤣
I think you should pack a few small snacks in case needed on flights or in your room & yes you can buy some at the airport if needed lol I have back & shoulder pain so don't think I could use a back pack I would think its easier for you too roll the carry on suitcase which seems like it has more room? But I might be wrong lol Going on a haunted tour sounds so fun since we are getting into Halloween spirits let us know how everything goes for you hope you have fun.
Yeah I just wanted grab and go convenience for my backpack but either way would've been fine. I did grab a few cracker packs/ beef sticks on my way out the door 😊
⬇I cannot wait to hear your tips on packing light and YOUR absolute must-haves!⬇

ha, you also hide the money! I put it in my shoe, though. No chance of stealing it there ;-)
Not a bad idea either!
