    Hey bro. Nice work, a learned Polish using this method for about 6 months (obviously I knew Russian before, similarity 20%). Now I'm doing the same with English, doing literately nothing except listening and reading. 5 months, and I am able to describe almost everything what I have on my mind, doing mistakes all the time, but at least I feel pretty confident.
    P.S : Stop worrying guys, just speak and enjoy :)

    Thank you! I also think it depends on how we distribute the hours. Learning a language requires gradual improvement. Start with beginner material, then move on to intermediate and finally advanced material. Learning online can be challenging because it's often unclear which materials to use.

      This is it.. building up one step at a time to more advanced. I will say if you wanna quickly check it out, my InterFluent course is exactly this.. providing the right level materials for you systematically as you are advancing in English, always slightly above your current level. This is comprehensible input +1. Link in description 🙏👊🏼👌🏼 glad you liked video

    I got a question, I've been wondering why am i not speaking this language like totally fluent despite the fact that grasping native speakers isn't a struggle to me at all, i can easily understand natives wether through videos or podcast easily but when i try to speak im hesitant .
    What do you think could be the problem?
    Anyhow I've been consuming English through podcast for almost 3 years now and sometimes when im bored TH-cam is my second option, hence i saw this video.......

    • @Nativlo
      @Nativlo  4 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Thanks for the question.. be careful with "understanding natives" American English is not the hardest it gets.. how are you with British accents, Scottish, London cockney? Etc.. that's real British native English.. to answer the Q.. you need to go up in levels, always find Conprehensible Input +1 but you also have to practice your speaking.. combine CI +1 with speaking practice AND writing the words down on paper (this is a secret most people don't talk about).. get writing lots as well as speaking practice and CI+1 ... email me for more support my friend if you feel you need! 👌🏼😌

      Around 2nd or 3rd group (Greek, Russian, slavic languages etc) so let's say for you, 1,000 hours should be enough.. sounds like a lot but you are not a beginner and once you make this apart of your daily life, 5 hrs per day 9 months or so of Comprehensible input.. should be more than enough 👍🏻🙏

    I strongly disagree with these hours, I’m Portuguese native speaker, I’ve lived about 2 years in Australia, I have 6300 hours of input, half active input and half passive input I’ve read 23 books in English, I’m not counting the time I spent with native speakers and I didn’t achieve the advanced level, I’m maybe the intermediate level. I’ve been studying for 3 years and a half, so I mean to become really fluent is really tough, it’s harder than everybody thinks.

    • @Nativlo
      @Nativlo  7 วันที่ผ่านมา +4

      You've missed one important thing I mentioned in this video - CONPREHENSIBLE INPUT. You can't just get input alone (720 in your case) and be fluent.. there are other components to this obviously. It needs to be input slightly above your level, maybe you are trying to watch TV shows when they are too difficult for you or you stay watching stuff too easy or at your level, it's always gotta be 20% above your level. You can benefit from a native providing you material perfect for you level, I do this.. message me personally if you need personal help, but please don't disagree with the natural method and please don't believe grammar study is your answer.. for your sake 👍🏻🙏

    • @Nativlo
      @Nativlo  วันที่ผ่านมา

      And also remember I'm talking intermediate to students here. Please don't be negative, this video is suppose to be a positive negative video.. I'm sorry you missed the point of this video.
