These are the fishing videos I personally like. No monster blues and no boats with fish finders. Just good Ol bank fishing for average fish. Thanks man!
@@RiverCertified Hey Bud, when you get the stinging nettle on you. and I know this will sound crazy but when I was a kid it was the only thing we knew would help get rid of the sting, was to put the mud it grew in, on your effected areas. You'll be amazed at how quickly and effectively it works. (I was told by someone its the nitrogen in the soil that helps get rid of the stinging, but I don't know how much truth to that there is.)
I think the bobber fishing is so much fun and fun to watch because most of us probably learned to fish that way when we were kids. It never gets old watching that bobber go under.
Hey Spencer I really appreciate all that you pertaining to catfishing. My family thinks I'm too crazy about me wanting to go fishing all the time. My goal is to spend everyday exploring new places to catch giants
Spence, I love your whole attitude, your zest for life, your fishing skills, the fun you have, and sometime would like to try your fried catfish. I love your catch and cook videos. Please keep up the great work. You bring a lot of people joy in this whacky world today. Thank you!
Hey on cooking the cats: personally I lose my taste for any fish after eating the first one, but I did find one way to eat them much more often was to barbeque them on a grill. It lets a lot of the fish taste get cooked out and leaves a white fluffy meat that is good when you baste it in barbeque sauce.
When I first started following you buddy. Most of your videos were finding places to catch fish just like these last to. I have enjoyed all of them. I really enjoy you sharing your knowledge with us all.
I love the small water videos, especially some of the older ones where you were wading skinny water creeks and catching. That's what I have a lot of around me so the tips were outstanding.
You are most humble and in the zone when you offer your knowledge to your followers. Self depreciation is honesty at its best. Much respect for you my friend.
I love watching your videos. I can’t get out much because I have a very sick wife, but when I do, I have fun but until then I love watching your videos. It reminds me of when I was younger taking my boys and my daughter Fishing all the time whatever we keep up the good work love the videos, I’m a fan reds fan, but go-cubbies
I love the b8g water big fish videos... but there's something about what I like to call a "roots" video... just going to back the roots... the basic bank fishing trip... doesn't get much better. Thanks dude

Cubs are doing pretty good this year. Playing my Pirates today, and our hot new pitcher is on the mound. As a Pirate fan ,it is almost time to give up all hope for the season.
Spencer, been pretty much mimicking you since you started. Lol Bought a boat used. 90 hp mercury and on our 5th outting the connection rods on #3 went through the crank case and well now I’m in search of a new motor. Do you have an opinion on motors and will you share?
“That’s a better fish” AKA “that’s a bigger branch” haha Love all your videos! I need to try my luck with bobber fishing for cats.. my dad usually catches at least 1 channel on crappie jigs and crappie nibblets I have yet to do that haha
Love the show!!! I have access to a marina and there is a large flat with a small channel running through it. Currently catching cats on cut bait. Will the cats stay in this area ll year or move off?
If you go back to that spot brother bring hedge trimmer and make sure they're sharp. Also hand held pruning shears. Spend 30 to 40 minutes each time you fish and clear out some brush on the shore.
Out here in the Pacific Northwest when we're fishing for salmon or steelhead and using bobbers. We like to put a bobber stop above and below the bobber. So if your mainline breaks at the swivel you don't lose your bobber. They aren't getting any cheaper.
love your simple tricks list - it comes down to anything you can tie a piece of line to that you can tie a piece of bait to that you can throw into a body of water preferably with fish in it wait 10 - 15 minutes if you don't catch a fish hurry up and move and throw your line again and hope your luck is better and you catch a fish and repeat till you decide to quit
Oh man them was some good eaters. That white bass looked like fish tacos. People been tearing up the channels on cut bait and red worms in the shallows round here. Watching boobers is always so much fun. Great vid and keep your powder dry and your pantry stocked young man 💪😎🙏🏻
I ended up keeping a few the next day. Couldn't help myself. I'm on the big crick now, trying to figure out the flatheads. Got a few big baits out to hopefully keep the gar off. Thank you as always sir.
Another great video man glad to have you back up by the house. Did you miss turkey season I love hearing the pheasants in the background live in North Missouri so not sure about Iowa's turkey season
I’ve used the salmon/steelhead rods too, even for big fish, big catfish, from a 8’6” to 9’6” , I had a 10 foot too that was pretty nice, but I originally got those rods for carp fishing, they work good for them, even big carp, I figured if they work for catching big salmon they should work on anything else, and they did. I liked the ugly stik series of those rods but that 10 footer was a Cabelas European rod, had a soft tip, about the top 2 Ft of the rod but had plenty of backbone, however the Europeans rate those rods, like 2.75 lb test curve or maybe 3 lb test curve, I don’t remember which but it would handle a pretty big fish. The old Berkley Cherry rods were pretty decent too, I had two of the 9 ft ones, suppose to been surf rods but they felt more like a salmon/steelhead rod. Anyhow, good deal bud 👍👍🤘🤙🏻✌🏻
thats all i do is bank fish here in Kentucky on the ohio river very relaxin ive always had better luck with hot dogs, chicken liver, nightcrawler, with hot dogs i like to use garlic seasoning and sometimes with garlic seasoning and some cherry or strawberry kool aid mixed together
Tip I learned about baitcasters as a beginner is to tighten it up so it's not wiggling in the middle, then either loosen it from there and you'll fix all the tangle line in the spool problems - having it loose (faster spin) is for advanced users im learning lol. need amazing thumb work to catch and control that line w/ looser settings.
Hey Spencer, we recently hit a hole full of huge drums and caught about 10 of them in 20 minutes. We released them all, but was curious if they are good to eat?
My kinda fishin Spence. Im a bank beater. It aint as easy as people think. You gotta know where yer holes are and places where you can cast to em. Good stuff!!
Man I just watched that video again for the first time in years! I remember the InFisherman video(vhs) when Doug was talking to “Zakker”. Id kill to fish with those old timers
Hey Spencer if you see this will you tell me how you catch your creek chubs? I’ve tried several times with my minnow trap here in Central Illinois with no luck. I’ve been told that the chemicals from surrounding corn and bean fields have killed them all but don’t know that for a fact. Just want to know how you manage to catch them here in the Midwest??
I love baitcasters, but I can't fight the fish on em as good as I can a spinning reel. I've lost big fish due to not being able to play the fish. Idk what it is. Love the videos Spencer, ur channel is awesome!!!
Man that place just produces some good eaters for sure. Bout time to bust out the egg, breading, oil and a skillet! Might need some corn hushpuppies and fries too.

I really appreciate that. I work pretty hard to keep getting better at editing. It's really nice to hear that.
I like when u try hard on editing but my fav thing to do with fishing vids is guessing when the rods go down. Idk if it's just me. Keep it up spence
With Spencer it's pretty easy when the music plays he's about to get a bite
@JamesBronson-hy3rb yea, when the music starts playing I start guessing which one

That were some beautiful fish you pulled in! Enjoyed the vid
A great get away for the afternoon, channel rats are entertaining, thanks for the trip Spencer
Nice and simple. That’s real fishing! Love bank fishing small streams
That makes two of us. Thanks for watching!

I'm sure there's something in your neck of the woods that will pull a bobber under. I sure do miss it down there a lot of times.

Love the videos man. Where do I get that rod wrap?
Been catching my limit of soft shells lately :( Great video!
Hi Spencer...quick question...looking for a baitcasting reel with baitfeeder...which one would you recommend?
Depends on what size. I've been using the Allijoz 400 for a year or so and have really liked it.
River Rompin!!!
Yessirrr!
If im stuck at work unable to fish then the least i can do is watch my favorite youtuber fisherman catch some river rats!
Iowa vids are back wooooo

I'm new to the Midwest and I'm told that Garr tastes better than walleye.
Probably a small treble. A #6. Hope that helps!

I know you like medium/ medium heavy poles but do you like fast actions or what for big cats
Mines a 8' medium heavy fast
I like moderate action or slow action the best at least with braid. With mono, fast action is best
