I just got the 7a on contract. In less than 18 months, the phone will (officially) be mine! Being visually impaired, I need certain features, and the pixel has them, and so much more. Best decision I ever made.
I bought a Google Pixel 6 phone two days ago and I feel happy to have it. Thank you very much, brother. If it were not for your review, I would not have bought this wonderful phone. ❤
Keep the videos coming. There's a reassurance when using some older Pixels as tou know that key software features from google will roll-out to older Pixels. Loving the new Circle-To-Seaech on this phone 👌🏻...flagship feature on a phone thats now only £200(ish) to buy 😎
More and more of these features seem to trickle down to older phones and I love it! With the tensor chip becoming more established I think we will see it more often too Peter.
I got one to replace my redmi phone that was quit buggy. After getting it it was the first time that people react to my phone ever. Still using it since launch and yea, pretty damn solid for what it was and is today !
But this series will receive Android 15 also, ( 3yrs of major updates - launched at android 12, will go to 15). I use its younger brother 6A since launch and i love it
Great video! I’ve had the 6 a few times and it’s a really good smartphone after Google fixed all its issues. I am considering getting one to switch back from an iPhone as lately iOS is way too annoying and buggy. Something about the design of the 6 looks so unique and sharp. Especially that green and kinda coral.
@@rossniem yeah boring was tolerable back when iOS was more stable and Apple innovated some. Now iPhone sucks and I’d rather use a Pixel because I prefer stock android.
I've had a 6a for about 18 months and it's in mint condition, having put it in a case and fitted a Screen Protector on day one. I'd been hankering after a Pixel for some time. I absolutely 😍it, although I was thinking about upgrading to the 8a, but not now I've actually handled one. The corners are weird. I'm a big fan of the "visor," better that than some of the truly hideous arrays you see on some phones (Apple) where they won't lay on a flat surface without wobbling. Not at all keen on the upcoming 9, if the leaks are accurate. That Camera Island is a _big_ mistake IMO. I'm fascinated to see how case manufacturers get around _that_ one!
We have the same variant, so far no dents and cracks yet, bought it when it first came out. Still rocking especially the camera ❤ but I wish i had the pro for the telephoto lens. Yes i agree, several times i will see a person carrying a pixel - i would know immediately cuz of the design, that camera bar is iconic. Battery life has improved, i just followed the instructions to save battery. Last me the whole day 👍. Next stop.. pixel 8😊 or i would buy a 4xl white 🤔
It's a minimum guarantee. Meaning they can go past it and that is what I predict will occur. They will ship full OS upgrades (monthly/quarterly/yearly releases) for the full 5 years. Likely not going farther after that. It's simply easier to port the device to new releases than to maintain a legacy Android 15 device support branch that ships backports and minimal fixes (which has never been done). Which creates more work for them in the end. We can see if this prediction works if they port the device to Android 15 QPR1, as that is the first major quarterly release after the OS upgrade minimum guarantee.
I completely agree with you. I too notice average people choosing the Pixel over other phones because of the long updates and the great cameras. Even if you don't care about AI at all (which is understandable), the Pixel are absolute solid choices
I don't think people know or care about phone updates Maybe us who watch these type of videos do but ask anybody you know in real life about phone updates and they'll probably think you're talking about notifications
How is the battery life for you? Mine is ok, but i definitely feel they die fast. I just got the googlebpixel 6a four days ago. I definitely love it but im concerned with google bc i hear the battery life for all devices is bad. what are your thoughts?
It definitely still good for me. But it is a few years old now so I’m expecting it to start dropping down soon. In general though I’ve always been happy with pixel battery life 🔋
Hello, I have some questions about this phone. I found it used for only $180, but I'm afraid that this phone has problems. For example, did you find a problem with the heating, or the battery draining quickly, or the network? And do you advise me for buy it ?
I've not had any problems for a long time now, it seems to have settled and is a good all round phone. I'm using it right now to write this comment 😁 I will be looking to upgrade to the one of the Pixel 8s soon
I see, that the Pixel 6 is still a damn good Phone! I fell in love with it yesterday, after I hold the Pixel 6 from a good friend of mine in my hands! 🥰 I will buy a used one in Sorta Seaform, with new battery and in perfect condition, with my next pay check. For the next 2-3 years it will be my daily driver with GrapheneOS! ❤ I don't need the newest phone or a new phone every year. A used phone in perfect condition saves a looooot of money and is good for your wallet and the environment. 😅 Thanks for your video! It helped me a lot with my decision! 😊
You'll ❤ it! No joke I adore my pixel 6. I also have the 7pro but my 6 is my go to I love the size it's my favorite Display size 6.4. anyway it's awesome 👍

As fellow pixel 6 owner, I must say that this is not cool device, like i just charged it and it has 40 degrees on battery, I listen to spotify and it is 40 degrees again, I watch youtube, I read news, it is 38 to 40 degrees all day. Nice phone to use, but not comfortable to hold
@@rossniem the only way is to use low graphics and lower fps. MIUI had game booster which let you tweak graphical settings even deeper than in-game. Hopefully there's something like that for Pixels

You're in for a surprise like me. It's getting Android 16.
It now has android 15 and it is now in the beta program for Android 16. So it is a good deal. Getting mine in a few days!

The main thing I’m worried about with the 9 is the squared edges. I’ve been enjoying the look of the 8 with the softer corners and rounded edges.
Still using it. Planning to upgrade in 2026, hopefully, to pixel 10
Me too, but I’m not sure what to upgrade to. The original pixel fold is super cheap 2nd hand

@@rossniem i can see you have a 4xl. Is it worth buying in 2024 ? Is the telephoto lens better than pixel 6 digital zoom?
I was thinking of buying a 4XL myself, I with he'd so a new video on it letting us know that would be awesome.
@@rossniemhi, if you can find the time can you please do an updated video on the pixel 4XL? Thank you 🙏
Debating on getting the pixel 6 pro for $175, I just wish it had 4 years of major updates rather than 3.

This is currently the bad side of Google Tensor, they 100% need to address it in future phones.
