The way poodles run is absolutely beautiful, their gallops and strides are like race horses and only unique to poodle breeds and some schnauzers I've seen. Truly stunning doggies. I had one growing up, an apricot mini named Romeo and as an adult had a white mini schnauzer named Nilly.

Also, toy poodles tend to be more high strung and a bit more vocal than a miniature. I should know since I had both a toy and a mini for sixteen years before both died of old age.
we adopted our mini from the SPCA at 19 months old ... she must have had neglect or abuse issues considering her low weight and extreme grooming issues ... we love her dearly, and she returns that love, but she has always had terrible separation anxieties that show up by her incredible performance even if my wife ( mama - the dog is attached at the hip to her ) leaves her even for very brief times ... also, she just has no social interactions with other dogs at the doggy park and has no enthusiasm to play and run ( though she does have plenty of energy ) ... seeing your dogs being so animated is a joy, but makes me a little sad ours never fully adjusted from whatever issues she had in her first months ... it might also be related to the fact she suffers from Addisons disease
How often do you get the black one clipped? Do you do it yourselves and what would be the name of that type of clip? What kind of grooming is done in between clips? Just considering getting a poodle....

Harnold Osorio the black one is a fully grown miniature in most clips in this video, they don’t get much bigger that 10kg in weight, toys are much smaller

Your dogs are so cute. I want to get a poodle and am wondering if there is a name for the haircut your dogs have. Or is it just a basic same length shave all over. That is how I would like mine to look.
Puppy cut. I left the ears long, shaved the face and feet. I learned to do it myself. I left most of the body with 1 inch of fur. I did like the fur on the top of the head longer.
I have a 5 month old mini poodle and as of now she is about 7-8 pounds and looks just like the white/gold mini poodle in the video. I don’t think she will grow much more but I’m not sure
My mini used to LOVE my furniture...friend of mine was over once, asked how to get my dog out of the chair. I said "Kick the chair, he'll get up." So he kicks the chair and my dog SNAPPED at him like the wolf he used to be! Funny as heck. Minis also don't back down from anyone. Ours held its own against the Doberman and the German Shepherd from down the hall.

Depends where you get them. My tiny toy has yet to have any major health problem, other than maybe some mild allergies, and he's 15 years old.

They all go to the groomers every 8 weeks for a "standard poodle cut" and they get brushed a couple times a week in between

He's a nice size, toy poodles are the tiny ones, you can usually tell the size by the parents too
