Adopt. There are breed-specific (poodle) rescues. It might take some diligence because it seems everyone wants poodles, so they go quickly. But don't give up. It took me 5 months after I lost my little girl to find one at a non breed-specific Humane Society within driving distance, but he was sure worth it. Please find a dog that already exists. They are so grateful, and you'll be rescuing one dog from life in a cage ... or worse.

Why aren’t parti poodles allowed? Isn’t that colour discrimination?
Certain kennels allow it. Poodle come in most colors except for Merle, which carries a health risk, that’s from a mixed dog.
