  • This is part 2 of 2 videos. Due to time constraints of TH-cam I had to edit and speed up the video as much as possible.
This week’s video is on how to do Vinyl Wrap. I hope that this video will give you enough information to be able to do your own wrap project. I tried to pick something that had curves, edges, different shapes and holes that would cover anything you may try and cover. It normally would take about 45 minutes to an hour for me to wrap this carefully. I had to shorten the videos the best I could and not take away from showing how it is done.
The way that I show in the video has been the best way for me to wrap my Can-Am Spyder. It is not the only way to do wrap. I try not to use the heat gun during stretching of the wrap. Doing so changes the strength, functionality, and color of most wraps. I save the heat until the end helping the wrap stick better to the material you are attaching it to. I also recommend leaving what you wrap attached to your vehicle. It is easier to wrap when it is attached to something, that way you are able to use both hands and give a proper stretch to the wrap.
The reason I wrapped my Spyder is for 2 reasons. The first reason is, if I go to resell the motorcycle, I realize not every one may like the color Green. With the vehicle wrapped, I can easily pull of the wrap and have the original color of the bike. The second reason is that the plastic on the Spyder easily scratches and scuffs, so the wrap is an easy and very nice-looking way to cover up or protect the plastic.
Please feel free to comment if you have any questions about wrap and anything that I may be able to help with. I do read and respond to comments, so I will be happy to help as much as I can. Also, if you liked the video please click on the like and subscribe for future videos.
I hope the videos help make your project your own.

    Nice series, thanks!
As a side note I didn't get a notification even though I'm sub'd and selected "all" for notifications.

Thank you Wm. Havens for letting me know about not getting notifications. I did contact TH-cam and there is a known issue about default settings. I now know a fix for this and will hopefully be able to have it work from here on out. Please let me know in the future if you don't get notified. I hope to have videos every week and the next one is the reveal for my new rims. THANK YOU again.

I do have 2 vinyl wrap videos showing how I do my wraps and what all I used. The part 1 shows what I use.. If you are going to do it yourself and not professionally I really recommend watching it and at least 4 other peoples way of doing it. Every one has a different way it seems. The main panel has a strong curve and "wavy" section that is hard to get done right without using heat. I originally had the main panels done by a professional and spent around $400 to have it done. After a month all the edges started peeling and had to be unwrapped. I wasn't happy at all after paying that much, so I decided to do it on my own after that and it has been a year now and still holding. Hope this helped.
