It is crazy how fast their horns have grown. So glad your lambs got a good price. 👍👍❤️. Such a beautiful view.
Pity the rest of them wouldn't grow that quick Linda 😂
I really enjoyed this one, Karol. Some beautiful views! Glad you were so pleased with prices at mart. Cheers!
Cheers Dann
Great video Karl! Nice groups of lambs, I especially like the crossbred ewe lambs, very nice. Have a great week!
Aye we're happy with them ourselves!
Good to see you guys again. The weather and markets are the farmers anxious time period.
They sure are Ron, it makes or breaks the whole year!
What an amazing view. Beautiful.
Great video Karl 👌
Cheers Gary
Those lambs with the spots are georgous ❤
They are!
Another fine video. Maybe you should be missing your own stock on auction more often? We have to face the fact that the problem of low prices might be down to you being there.
Haha possibly! Could be lucky. 😂
Great video as always Karl.. good to see Joanna I miss her videos. Thanks for sharing with us.
Thanks Rachel! Hoping she'll do a bit for this channel while I'm away from home!
@@ewetube.videos thanks Karl that would be amazing. Hope your having a good time while your away.
Glad to see you got a good price on your lambs.
Thanks Kristin!
With that view…. Happy sheep
So clever! Your caption says that you don't have an ending to your video but that is all we watched .. their endings walking away.😅
Lol cheers Barbara
Did ya go to mels for the breakfast 😂😅 Lovely it is
It is good! I did surely lol
Great content.
Can you describe what you mean by Shepards lamb?
Cheers Paul. I'm not sure, where in the video did I say that?
Good video again! Are the cheviot lambs chev/mayo cross lambs? Have yous never kept pure chev ewes? Hardy enough the wicklow too.
Yeah that's the cross robert.
They can be very big Cheviots do you think? We find them a bit hardier and easier fed crossed with the horny.
@ewetube.ireland aye, they would stretch up into quite a big ewe. I was brought up with blackface and kept them myself for a few years, then tried the chev and thought they done alot better for me.
Congrats on those prices. That's a nice soup strainer you've got there. Just kidding, you look nice.
Lol thank you 😂

(New to your channel) Are these being sold for meat or for breeding?
They are likely for meat ift they are rams
Yeah they'll be fattened and will go for meat later
Where do the ram lambs go? Food or breeding, or both? Where do the ewe lambs go? Food or breeding, or both?
Rams lambs mostly food, ewe lambs mostly breeding although they're interchangeable Barbara!
Why do horned lambs bring in a lower price than the other breed you mentioned?
They aren't bred for as much weight gain they are bred to last the mountain and bad weather
Yes, mostly because it takes them longer to fatten, buyers take that into account.
I'm a hand spinner and may have asked a variation of this question before-- are any of your sheep (or your neighbors' sheep) raised for their wool?
Wool in Ireland is worthless. €60 for 400kg.
Yeah not really! Mostly meat, wool is a worthless by product for us.
How much on crossbreds horned ewe lambs
All ram lambs I had today, I suppose they're worth 100-120 generally depending on quality and size.
Crossbred ewe lambs I'm referring to
🐨👍
AND you're calling them ram (lambs)-- are they born with those horns??? (ouch!)
No they are born with out them they grow from the tip of there head
No, only born with very small stumps of horns. 😁
