Great to have a video. They couldn't see the open gap but would fine a hole in the wire... typical sheep. How's Joanne doing we haven't heard anything from her in ages.
I want to learn more about sheep care and illnesses. I just moved to Mexico, and my niece had a ewe go down Saturday one month post lambing. She died Sunday. We don't have a knowledgeable vet close by.
Great video - good to see the rushes and thistles are growing well with you as well ! We’ve all had sheep that refuse the open gateway because of a bit of mud ( there’ll go through a ditch to escape though !)🤦🏻♂️ Looking forward to the hoody landing on my doorstep soon- not sure it’ll look as good on me as your good lady Keep the videos coming ! 🐑🐏
Love big Bruce.....he sure seems like he's got huntaway in him, sturdy big boy. Uses his voice a fair bit. I've a huntaway collie cross an he's mych the same. Thanks for the content, rushes are lookin great 😂
@@AH.135 Yeah most definitely they were crossed in the past and you could be right regarding a big collie. Structurally it resembles a huntaway. Lacks eye and barks alot is another good indicator.
Was starving for some content and it was great to see it drop, however I’m always hungry for more! Loved the stand off…….reminded me of a similar situation but I put my food in a pot hole, went down and bingo……one dislocated shoulder!!!
If that’s all you can grow, even the sheep don’t want to eat it. Rough old fare they survive on. Nothing worthwhile is growing with the cold weather a lot if farmers are getting very worried about next winter’s feed. One thing we don’t get in my part of Wales, surprisingly is ticks. It could be the lack of wild deer, we do have the odd predatory puma probably keeping them down. We have seen a puma with two cubs in tow and have had a few puma kills.
Just back from 2 weeks in the West of Ireland. Nice to be reminded of the landscape while somewhere with slightly better weather. Is there a market for cast blackface ewes or Mayo mules at all? They look good sheep.
Check out some of Simon whistlers product promos like the vessi ones, def not as annoying as most of them. If you could throw some grass down on the mucky patch enough to break up the surface look they should go through easier.
You say stock prices have been good then? Are they anticipating light lambs due to the wet and its pushing prices? We have been very wet in the northern plains of the US and the hay crop is fantastic but nobody can get in the field to get it or you'll sink to China.
Yikes. What a 'Loud' Hectic Mission. Frantic activity.... from All > *Humans/dogs/sheep. > First video of yours that I have watched. So much....Talking and Screaming going on. ( ADs every...3-4 min's) Beautiful countryside to watch....once on Mute. Soooo....all that commotion @11:48 was due to the fact.....the Sheep didn't want to go through the Mud? Do you have a solution to fix this problem so this doesn't happen again?
Those lambs are obstinate.
Exhausting! The new Kelpie cross is cute.
😊❤️
Good to see a visitor enjoying the beauty of Ireland
Great video, that looked like hard work getting them in ❤
Great to have you back.l loved the video.
Such a beautiful land when the sun is out…. What a work place, down by the river its beautiful
It’s still lovely when it’s raining…..even if it’s not as comfortable for the humans.❤️🐑

I missed this comment Shane! He's keeping well but hasn't much interest in YT anymore!
Casey was a great help today

Yeah I think you’re right regarding the huntaway blood. Seems to stocky for a kelpie.
Could have been a big collie. Usig the voice was what made me think huntaway. They were probably cross bread historically. Thay have the same markins
My boy is pure black bar white socks on his front feet
Dont think there is a breed standard for huntaways and my guy is quite narrow shouldered.

We're great at growing rushes ourselves

What do you consider to be a high worm count?
I'm just getting started with my first sheep, they're Dorper but your videos give me the urge to get some blackfaces 😭🤣
🤣 They’re hardy!
Are you in Ireland? Am running easy care and would love to cross with dorper for confirmation and no shearing. Just can’t source any in ROI . Thanks 😊

Sorry to hear that! Yes they’ve been good but they are slipping as the year goes on. Hopefully not too much!
