  • Making a small "tacti-cool" fixed blade. Tried a few techniques that I've never done before and I'm pretty happy with the result. Voice-over tutorial with explanations will be available on Patreon.

    About Simple Little Life:
This channel has sort of turned (inadvertently) into a knife making channel. But the original idea behind what we wanted it to be is this description below:
Videos on our journey to homesteading. With a recent purchase of a little piece of the Alberta prairie, we're looking to sell our nice suburban home in search of a more meaningful life beyond chasing the "American dream" working for some big company and making someone else rich. It's not about the money, it's about getting the most value from the work I do to improving the life of my family.
Some preparedness, DIY, building quality things with your hands, guns, gear, and outdoor exploration.

That checking file is legit!... I need one. Great knife and like always great build! Pretty slick bead blasting the finished knife then etching the whole knife with handles too. Never seen that.

  • @Spectt84

I might of said this a year or two ago on one of your builds but this is really what is going through my head when watching your knife builds... Love watching your "work flow" and the practical problem solving using the tools you have on-hand, for example all the different tricks you pulled out to chamfer the handle scales. Also, Im dying to feel the texture of "sandblasted g10", seems like it would feel great in hand. So happy you're making content again. Great job!

Love the build videos man. Today's went well with my lunch after I got home from work. Darn mandatory half Saturdays at the machine shop. I think my next knife I buy is going to be your companion off your site. I have been looking for a small fixed blade to try for a daily carry and almost settled on the Esee Candiru. Then just binge watching knife related videos I came across your 5 hour knife build vid that I must have missed somehow. It's such a good looking blade. I could also use a Gyuto and a chunky monkey....guess I gotta work some overtime.
