I remembered the story…said he would never go back. So happy he is back in the water. Truly an inspiration to many. Look at all the love that came to cheer him on too. 🙏🏼
Truly a brave man and an inspiration for everyone watching this, no matter how small or how big our fears may be. Also, what a bunch of world class friends he has, the kind that love and truly are there for you. Some day, I wana meet Tonny and congratulate him!
I cannot believe he went back AND they saw ANOTHER shark on their way back! He’s amazing, brave & full of courage. Looks like he has a community full of support. 🙏
Swimming in club is no riskier than a female who goes climbing, there are big things in their, chance u end up Infront of one is massively up to you. And yes there are natural shore sharks that revisit the shore quite aggressively in an attempt to reclaim territory, so there is such a thing as shark day
Listed as an unprovoked shark attack. I commend Oahu for his bravery. I love the ocean, and all salt water sports, still I never shed the thought that when I'm in the water I am a guest and the things swimming around me may feel I'm trespassing and may not be as friendly towards me. In deep water I'm no longer at the top of the food chain. There I am bait. and by being there I am provoking and suspicious.
You have zero idea what provoking means lol. Sharks don’t OWN the ocean, just like bears don’t OWN the woods. By your logic we shouldn’t leave the house since we now are provoking wild animals.
I am trying to figure out why remaining in chest-deep water is insufficient for a typical day at the beach. Sure, quite a few shark bites occur in chest-deep water, but at least the swimmer is closer to the safety of the shore than a person swimming hundreds of yards from the beach. Oceanic white-tip sharks are a particularly aggressive species, so this man was at risk of falling victim to a double whammy. This swim under murky skies was an ill-advised idea that sorely tempted fate, and one can only hope it is not repeated too often.
Very brave to go back! I dont think i would! I get scared of sharks in waist high water. The thought is always glooming over me. Its always an Erie feeling.
Bless 🙏🏾🙏🏾 u tony!!! Please highly recommend if u like get bite continue swimming 🏊♂️ in the ocean making splashes n vibrations… when i go i go hunting be as stealth 🥷 as u can n please have atleast a 3 prong on u at all times.
The same shark was just there to greet him. Why on earth would people swim so far out. There's a reason we have big pools. One can swim in shallow waters near the beach too.
I like you. I miss the old RCP book store near UH, and am glad to see there's still an active Communist Party - a thing that's perfectly OK under the US's freedom of speech and free association laws - and when I'm back let's get together and set up the old book table and get some recruits just like the old days. Indeed, from Marx on to the present, Communism is about analyzing your fears and facing them.

Excellent. Over coming fears. Good job brother. 👍🏽🤙🏽
OMG I don’t think I could do that . How brave!
He went back and the Shark was counting on it. Land people are not masters of water. There is a legit time just be a coward
God bless you Tony you got this brother!!! Brave man!!
I cannot believe he went back AND they saw ANOTHER shark on their way back! He’s amazing, brave & full of courage. Looks like he has a community full of support. 🙏
The ocean already claimed apart of him only makes if he....type of guy go swimming by night.
Thank you for sharing this mans story. I am happy he was able to overcome his fear. Take Care.
The ocean already claimed his leg.
Epic Brada...Keep Inspiring the World!!!
👏🏽👏🏽Glad he was able to mentally and physically get back into the water and face that fear! One step at a time!
wow very inspirational
Thank you God for such love..faith over fear
God bless
Plenty of people couldn’t even make that swim! Respect!
🤙. Thank you bruddah for the inspiration.
Braver than I'd ever be.
You can do it dude!!!
He wasnt going back to swim, he was going back to reclaim his foot or a shark or a couple.
God bless 🙏 💜 🙌
I never wanted to swim in the ocean for this reason but God bless anyone who feels otherwise.

Dude this is inspiring. Props to him. Crazy
I don’t think I could ever go that far out again.
I swam to the Mokolua Islands dozens of times from Lanikai. It can be scary when the weather turns bad. I swam it the same week this attack happened.
Omg I literally swam there carefree because I could see clear in the water 😳
Ur awesome bro. Greats advice at the end.
Ur inspiring. Stay positive. It totally shows.
Mahalo !!!!
So brave. Sharks can be a real danger. You don't have to do that if you don't want.
Shaaaark is like heeeey it's him again 🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈🦈

Wow I didn’t know about this. Lanikai is one of my favorite beaches
Congratulations Tony! You are brave!
This is beautiful.
Red bikini at 0:49 = 🔥
Glad to hear you faced your fear
I'm happy to stay on land and have both my legs.

amazing story
Aww bless truly brave ❤
you are amazing.
Warrior 💪🏽👏🏻💥
Lanikaii, how horrific
I will never make that swim. Here's a thought. If you get attacked by a shark don't go back in the water.
I literally just sat at this beach eating a pizza from Bob's a week ago. It's crazy to think this happened!
Seriously,Lanikai,that truly sucks!
Nope.
Hang in there Tony, you are an inspiration.
But I wish "facing your fear" is a good shark repelent! :)
seeing a shark is a good thing being that at least u know where it is and most attacks are mostly never seen coming. glad he got back in the water.
Shark species identified? Tony you are brave.
I believe it was a tiger.
@@gsellona Thanks. Even a small one is deadly and this species is a Maneater. Appreciate your reply
2:22 - What's up with his left ankle??? It's the size of a small cantaloupe.
Love Tony
Fook that
Ekahi bro.
🙏🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Beautiful
Hey L👀K there he is Again
Well done, it's the best thing to Don. Overcome😃
Great story
👍
Nah. This is not about fear. This is about respecting nature. To tempt fate like that again, no bueno.
Yeah...NOPE not going back in evahhhh! lol
That is a far swim! I feel safe doing it in a kayak or paddle board but you wouldn’t catch me swimming out that far.
Very brave to go back! I dont think i would! I get scared of sharks in waist high water. The thought is always glooming over me. Its always an Erie feeling.

🙌
Those are the kinda role models I like too look up too

What is a 3 prong??
Shark was just hungry
This seems like denial, not victory. More power to him though if that's his choice.
Was it a bullshark?
A tiger
Will shark attack you around the shore??
🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Should have worn a Sharkbanz
The same shark was just there to greet him. Why on earth would people swim so far out. There's a reason we have big pools. One can swim in shallow waters near the beach too.
At the end he realized , he was just a piece of Sushi. No matter the metallic gear...sharks, seek refuge in God from the way they think
:(((((((
Brave guy...if there's sharks in those waters, just don't swim there
@@The.Hawaiian.Kingdom not in the Baltic Sea
@@The.Hawaiian.Kingdom oh yea what's worse than sharks in the Baltic sea? And well, shark attacks are super rare there.
Very foolish...how or why would you go back to the spot where a shark attacked you....lesson not learned
Exactly, if a big Tiger would have come up and got him nobody could have saved him out there. I just don't get it.
Don't hurt him! Visibly happy with one leg. He might have hoped to see if he could leave this in the water as well.
Get over it! Six years ago.
The Hawaiian communist party says get back in the water and face your fears.

Hmm ok lol
Tough dude
There's portuguese man-of-war on that swim too...😂
