Hong Lu is my favorite limbus character, and I like all of his ids. On one hand, Tingtang Gang Gangleader has helped me a lot really often until I got Dieci after about 2 months from his release. But on the other hand, he ruined my 80 pulls on Walpurgisnacht banner, where Yi Sang with my favorite lobcorp ego and Ryoshu for my favorite team were released. I don't even know what to think of him

With your intro, I was VERY confused what you were talking about... then I realized you were running him as a Bleed ID. He has Bleed _Synergy_ at Uptie 4, but he's 100% just DPS. And by god, he DOES IT. I ran a Slash team with him in the 4th slot, and he was 100 damage from taking first slot from Zwei Gregor with 4 S2s. What Tingtang Hong Lu is REALLY good at is boss fights with any part that can be BROKEN but not SEVERED, and ESPECIALLY destroys Peccatula. His S2 will _always_ activate the coin reuse on a broken part because it checks for the part's HP%, and not the main HP.
Crazy to say this ID is not alright when he rolls like crazy with no conditions and has a huge damage. While we have something like N Corp meur and g greg
Yeah. He might not be a good bleed ID specifically but he doesn't need to be as a strong generalist. Even if you wanted to catergorise him then you shouldn't put him as a bleed unit but as an EGO spamming unit. - His passive is all about sp recovery - His evade gets him more sp - His good rolls without conditions makes it easy for him to regain sanity - Land of Illusion helps him out by being a net 0 cost EGO (so you gain sanity on clash wins) that gives him more passive sp The only thing he really needs is an EGO to spam and until he gets a WAW EGO that will just depend on the rest of the team to see what EGO you can consistently fuel.

Look at RR4 runs lots of low turn runs field him because his s2 is just very versatile with its damage making it easy to help kill abnos and also confirming kills on envy peccatulum and other mooks while his s3 helps stop any difficult clashes from being an issue and can do a lot of damage on re-use. His only weakness is that he doesn't feed into an archetype, which is why he is weaker in MD as it favors team archetypes. But that is less of an issue in longer content (Railway, Story/Event dungeons) where you will have the sin resources to make up for that in EGO's.
Honestly I still consider him the best in the game. Like if you just started limbus and asked me which 3 star to go for I would say ting tang hong lu. Both because of his monstrous clashing with zero conditionals and without uptie 4, and having one of the best universal damage boosting supports (which stacks with Rodiah’s). Throw in rapid sanity regen from his passive, still big damage against enemies with easily breakable parts (even without bleed), funny high rolling dodge that restores sanity at uptie 4…. there isn’t a single id in my opinion that gives you as much bang for your buck. An id that can be splashed into any team and still perform exceptionally against any boss and will be useful during everysingle canto…. is one I would hardly call outdated
Sadly the dolls don't count as "Deaths". The reason I can think up why is that they don't truely "Die", because they come back to life the next turn. But it could be an error on PM's part that they just never thought to fix.
2:10 the reason hong lu didn't re-use is probably a bug that i been experiencing simply if you kill the doll any "on kill" effect won't activate at all you can test it with Ncorp faust and Captain ishmael I believe the game quite confuse the doll and make them become "abnormality part" that is my theory
A comment from an older video said that it is actually intentional. All the claydoll can't die but instead when they lost all hp they become untargettable. My best guess is that they did it so the doll can be killed in the event

it makes absolutely 0 sense why his skills 2 and 3 don't inflict bleed, and it's not like they just tacked it on like rupture because uptie 4 gives buffs on his skills 2 and 3 against bleeding targets.
Kurokumo Ryoshu has the same issue where because they don’t inflict bleed (but gets extra DMG if target is bleeding) Because bloody mist only applies to “Skills that Inflict Bleed”
If you're talking about the blade lineage ego gift, you need to choose the blade lineage themed pack and pray that it appears in an event or in the shop. If you have spare ego gifts you can also try fusing it, just be aware that it only appears if fused in that pack.
If you are talking about the Tier IV from Blade Lineage Pack Then you can either get it in the event that show up sometimes But if you don't have the event you can either try and buy it from the shop or fuse it in the rest stop I think the hat is the Poise Tier IV right? so for fusing you will have Fragment AND Clear Mirror to fight it So it will be a 33% chance if you don't already have the Gifts
