I absolutely love that the characters from multiple universes all interact and reside in one place... and HOLY BALLS I LOVE HOW THEY'RE ALL IN CHARACTER!!! This is so fun to watch it's like getting extra cartoon time.
luvkirby4ever You'd be happy to know that the comic book publisher IDW publishing currently does cartoon network comics and has done two crossover series
Something I love about old Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon was the collaborative subtle crossovers outside the shows for promos and all. You barley see that now.
+HighLevi you also don't see cartoon network with variety in it' schedule....we can blame that on adultswim being more popular these days and eating up time slots
All's I'm saying is this was the golden age, any kid born after this era doesn't know what they missed out on. Also your username is pretty inaccurate. Don't think a shy girl would say something so rude >_>
Kk, dunno what your problem is but getting into an argument with this just isn't worth it. Fighting is sort of like an eternal spiral staircase, it plunges downwards into an abyss of darkness with no end. And the further you go down the more dark is becomes 'till nobody knows whats going on but your still throwing punches, y'know? Just trying to claim a victory. Sorry but that doesn't happen on TH-cam. NOBODY wins an argument. Not you, not me, nobody. So let's just call this a truce and walk separate ways (not literally, of course!) You have your opinion that I'm an arrogant a-hole, and I have my opinion that your rude! I'm willing to accept that's what a stranger thinks of me so that I can continue my life in ease. And you don't have to accept my opinion, your choice after all. I won't be responding to the next comment, but I'm sure your a real nice person IRL, we just got off on the wrong foot here on TH-cam as many others have. Have a nice day, ma'am/sir! :)
You never appreciate the good things about you're childhood till your reminded of how amazing some things were. This was definitely one of those things. RIP CN City aka The Third Era of cartoon network, you are loved and you are missed.
what do you mean exactly? Cartoon Network was good all throughout the 90s to mid 2000s. Do you mean by eras as in CN city was great but you wish you experienced the powerhouse era as well with Cartoon Cartoon Fridays? or the checkerboard era?
Carl Bloke Sorry, what I mean by this is that back then Cartoon Network seemed like it was original and at its best. Today, most of its shows lack creativity like Teen Titans Go, Uncle Grandpa, PowerPuff Girls Remake, etc. But that doesn't mean all of its shows are bad. One of today's good cartoons are regular show, Steven universe, etc.
Electric Lasagna yeah you're right. Back then CN actually knew when to be creative and not just some of the time but all the time. Now all they care about is ratings seeing as how TTG and Powerpuff Girls sole reason was for that
There was so much warmth, love, and fun. I could feel the creators joy in making these. Because of that, I could connect with them. If they can't bring back the shows, at least bring back the city jingles. I'd love it.
Man, take me back! I know the 90s was good and all, but the 2000s took the 90s and added the awesome tunes during the 2000s and gave us something we'd never forget. THIS is the golden era, an er that'll probably never be topped as literally every show, old and new, was on fire. Man, it'd be nice to have a channel or something. And don't even get me started on Toonami at the time too...or Adult Swim. Not to mention Nick and Disney were hot around this time too.
I agree! I freaking LOVED the 90's with all my heart, especially on Cartoon Network, but they managed to make an upgrade in the 2000's that worked phenomenally.
Growing up is a trap!! Stay young, please value everything you have when your young and healthy because once you grow up its all down hill from there. i watched this video and time traveled oh how i wish i could stay there!
Fernando Valles yea all that is great but it was also nice to sit around playing video games and not having to work and all you had to worry about what when that science project was due so you can do it at the last minute
I was the lead on this project. We wanted to pitch CN city to the guys in Atlanta, but the production company we worked for thought it was below them at the time. We were going to add a bunch of failed and out of work characters trying to make it in a city of celebrity characters. From what I recall if you took all of the bumpers, interstitials, etc that we did back to back they come in just over an hour. Working with the team at CN in Atlanta was an absolute dream. I disagree with the people that say CN has lost it. Regular Show is one of the best shows ever.
YES! Finally, we have someone, and it's the guy that was the God for CN City! Please, spread the word, and maybe there would be less redundant "EVERYTHING OLD IS GOOD, WAAAAAAH, EVERYTHING NEW IS BAD, WAAAAAAAAH!!!!!"
The fact that CN animated an entire city (3D and 2D), hired the voice actors, and practically did this for only commercial success, is BEYOND IMPRESSIVE!
Ah, back when CN was in its golden years. My childhood years were well meant, especially since whoever is the new director of CN drove it into the ground....
brought me all back the great memories how i loved every single episode of every show , i dont like much shows these days but still i love the fact they are still rerunning the good old shows , no matter , these cartoons are IMMORTAL and live in my brain and heart , FOREVER! never feel down guys , they can still live in our hearts , and great memories we can relive. MEGAS XLR was my favorite , my kick to pre-puberty in a weird way!
I remember hating the city theme in 2004 when it replaced the original Cartoon Network, but now that 11 years have gone by, I definitely have some fondness for it!
God I remember toon city, it started up when I was addicted to the CN, and man it was cool seeing all our favorite toons walking around in the same universe. All that nostalgia is rushing to me
It would of been awesome if CN dedicated to making a series of episodes like this where all the characters from different series interact with each other, and it doesn't have to be about thing specific story plot one set one characters.
It is pretty amazing. I wonder how it was in diffrent countries when it come to the voices I know in some older ones with Super Friends characters there are other voices but for the Toon City when Foster Home and Camp Lazlo aired it had to have been the original voices right?. In Sweden they managed to get all the voices for this and that is usually hard becuse not everyone was from the same dubbing studio. Normally you ask one of them to dub this and it ain´t easy just to get the voices from other places in to dub thier characters.
I like how all the cartoons know eachother. And how sometimes they might star in eachother shows. It kinda makes it feel like one big happy family :, ) There was this one episode of dexters laboratory and dee dee had like a powerpuffs doll in the backgrown. I like how they used to do little easter eggs like that : )
Dexter: Yes, I want a particle accelorator Houstess: You'll shoot your eye out kid! THE BEST DAMN LINE FROM THE BEST DAMN MOVIE BROUGHT TO THE BEST DAMN TV BLOCK EVER!
seeing interaction between characters from different shows just feels so cool. I felt the same way when Cartoon Network was doing the 20th anniversary stuff. we need better bumpers on CN. probably shouldn't be a priority, but it would be nice. even the Noods (remember those?) were better than what we got now.
When I was little, I thought this was a real city and I wanted to go there so I could become a cartoon and meet all my favorite other cartoon characters.
Did anyone else just have a nostalgic overload? Now, I personally think cartoons are getting better, now that the dark era of CN Real is gone. Not saying everything is perfect, but shows like Adventure Time, Gravity Falls, and Steven Universe are well loved by me and others, and while I don't watch Gumball or Regular Show just because I don't think I'd care much for them, I am happy that I've heard they're good and that kids are still getting good stuff to watch. But I am upset that kids today will likely never get anything like Cartoon Network City. TV shows these days are packed with as many commercials as they can fit, so little mini segments showing the network's characters just randomly interacting with each other is out of the question. I get why they don't do it anymore, but it is still kind of a shame given how much fun Cartoon Network City was.
CN real wasn't all bad, I mean Andrew W.K. hosting Destroy Build Destroy was pretty cool. But with shows like Uncle Grandpa, Teen Titans go, 3 bare bears, the new Scooby Doo reboot, and Clarence I have low hopes for Cartoon Network right now
This day in 2014 is supposebly is to remember this silveraldo era that has been really great in it's young time of year. I love this cartoon network society has been using it's wonderful artists and voice actors that purtrade those characters of CN in which now the boomerang is changing like Cartoon Network. Most of this stuff will never unfade it's rich gold of dream that in return we try to move on but can never look back to the way it was before the disaster shoots like a tsunami.
Cartoon Network isn't dead...just different. It still has shows that show passion and a love for what they do, just like our old shows. Don't let Nostalgia blind you, what you loved about the old shows are still there, just in a different shape. We loved the colorfulness and wackiness of Fosters Home for Imaginary friends, so why do people hate adventure time for it? Any artist back then would gasp at the art that Gumball has, and newer shows like Steven universe offer a connection to characters like few other shows have. Do I miss CN city? Yeah. Do I wish we could have more quality shows? Absolutely, however we can't do that if people do not apply what we loved about the past and use it in the present. Our time passed long ago now it's our job to embrace the future, for more kids to have wonderful childhood memories. If you agree I encourage to help spread this message. Thank you :)
It's sad to see that they don't show these shows anymore. CN barely has ten shows to show on their channel. Everyone has been asking what happened and what happened is time.
I am 16 this right here, these commercials where the good old days and I must say when I heard Class of 3000 come up I got kind of excited. My friends and I used to jam to these songs all the time in elementary. I'm cool with some reruns, but I think it's about time CN made some "small" changes and got a new CEO to usher in a new era of cartoons. He's only been in office for a few years and has run Cartoon Network into the ground. Let him run it double that and CN will be in Hell.
This has to be the golden years, they reached the point where every show was loved (and toonami was still awesome) to where they could spend extra cash to have this amazing place designed and brought a whole new life to them! How i miss CN city, There will never be anything like this ever again, it was every kids dream
Dexter roasted the professor "how many geniuses does it take to unlock a car door...why don't you use some chemical X haha"
Hahaha that part was pretty funny. I can't believe I forgot about that.

XD
I absolutely love that the characters from multiple universes all interact and reside in one place... and HOLY BALLS I LOVE HOW THEY'RE ALL IN CHARACTER!!! This is so fun to watch it's like getting extra cartoon time.
It's like the cartoons behind the scenes or a glimpse into their everyday lives. I loved ed edd n eddy they're so hilarious
luvkirby4ever You'd be happy to know that the comic book publisher IDW publishing currently does cartoon network comics and has done two crossover series
luvkirby4ever This is what the modern cartoons are lacking. Interaction with each other.
so sad but true.....the death of saturday morning cartoon blocks destroyed that completely
Fusion fall anyone
Something I love about old Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon was the collaborative subtle crossovers outside the shows for promos and all. You barley see that now.
+HighLevi you also don't see cartoon network with variety in it' schedule....we can blame that on adultswim being more popular these days and eating up time slots
Austin Cooper
+HighLevi I agree.
HighLevi your profile picture is my reaction to the summer of 2005
HighLevi iii
I cant believe I didnt appreciate these back then :'(
i miss the old shows soo much
Halcyon Xatu Cause kind of I look like him and I want to be like him :)
I feel bad for the kids who weren't born into the golden age like me..
Fritz Michaelsen lol get over yourself.
All's I'm saying is this was the golden age, any kid born after this era doesn't know what they missed out on. Also your username is pretty inaccurate. Don't think a shy girl would say something so rude >_>
Fritz Michaelsen No you sound like a arrogant a-hole. Saying "get over yourself" isn't rude lol plus it's the Internet I'll say whatever tf I want.
Kk, dunno what your problem is but getting into an argument with this just isn't worth it. but I got use to it.

TheTimon64 Cartoon Cartoon made a secret comeback in 2011-2012.
South Gaming and Music
You mean Cartoon Planet? We'd be lucky to get Cartoon Cartoons back.
ULTRADJ4EVER No... Cartoon Cartoon actually came back for about two weeks.
South Gaming and Music
Wait, you're serious!? Oh man, how did I miss that! Why only two weeks? I guess that's how I missed it but man what a tease!
This was Cartoon Network back when it was in its prime.
Electric Lasagna so Regular Show doesn't ring a bell?
Carl Bloke Sorry, what I mean by this is that back then Cartoon Network seemed like it was original and at its best. Today, most of its shows lack creativity like Teen Titans Go, Uncle Grandpa, PowerPuff Girls Remake, etc. But that doesn't mean all of its shows are bad. Oooo shots fired😂😂
The fact that CN animated an entire city (3D and 2D), hired the voice actors, and practically did this for only commercial success, is BEYOND IMPRESSIVE!
i remember this being so awesome i tried to record these on a vhs tape XD it was to good for the shitty future to keep.

Yeah, remember when they usually hade for 1st of January, Tom & Jerry the WHOLE FREAKING day!! Taped that shit :D
These were always fun to watch.
Ah, back when CN was in its golden years. My childhood years were well meant, especially since whoever is the new director of CN drove it into the ground....
This was what made the 00's special. Every character felt connected with each other.
brought me all back the great memories how i loved every single episode of every show , i dont like much shows these days but still i love the fact they are still rerunning the good old shows , no matter , these cartoons are IMMORTAL and live in my brain and heart , FOREVER! never feel down guys , they can still live in our hearts , and great memories we can relive. Yeah...I really miss this
Watching this makes my chest Hurt
I wish I could go back in time and be a kid for one more day just to relive this era of Cartoon Network for one more day
This still makes me feel very happy with this video but it still holds my emotions and movements from cartoons that makes me dance and jam out to this
Will you guys excuse me? I need to go cry in a dark corner as I reminisce the good times I had with this channel in my childhood.
I remember that when I was a kid... boy the nostalgia kicks in. Back then when cartoons were really cartoons.
God I remember toon city, it started up when I was addicted to the CN, and man it was cool seeing all our favorite toons walking around in the same universe. All that nostalgia is rushing to me
7:02 Ed learned some magic.
I wished Cartoon Network would stay like this :(
It would of been awesome if CN dedicated to making a series of episodes like this where all the characters from different series interact with each other, and it doesn't have to be about thing specific story plot one set one characters.
Ed edd n eddy in real life cartoon
Version of them looks so real
Man do I miss the times almost every single cartoon here used to be amazing now I barely even watch tv.
This was so awesome back then when all the cartoon character live altogether and talk to each other! Man I miss the OLD CN ;{
It is pretty amazing. I wonder how it was in diffrent countries when it come to the voices I know in some older ones with Super Friends characters there are other voices but for the Toon City when Foster Home and Camp Lazlo aired it had to have been the original voices right?.

Haven't cried for a while... This brought me pretty close... DAMNIT! BRING BACK THESE SHOWS! I NEED BOBOBO TO LIVE!
I like how all the cartoons know eachother. And how sometimes they might star in eachother shows. It kinda makes it feel like one big happy family :, )
There was this one episode of dexters laboratory and dee dee had like a powerpuffs doll in the backgrown. I like how they used to do little easter eggs like that : )
Aw, the nostalgia! >w< I remember all this! I wish Cartoon Network did this again!
I miss The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy though....Q~Q
This animation must've been expensive as hell ... but ... it was worth every penny.
This is the Cartoon Network I know & love! Imagine if the old Nickelodeon did this!
Man, this brings back memories. I miss the old cartoon network.
1:15 Why is Numbuh 1 helping out Professor? KND only helps kids
bear in mind there are some adults he trusted and/or helped out in the show.
WookieOwner the kids next door never say no to a problem
🎶Back in the day when I was young I'm not a kid anymore but someday I still wish I was a kid again🎶
Dexter: Yes, I want a particle accelorator
Houstess: You'll shoot your eye out kid!
THE BEST DAMN LINE FROM THE BEST DAMN MOVIE BROUGHT TO THE BEST DAMN TV BLOCK EVER!
Im greatly to grow up with such great cartoons!
Man,what happened to those good old days? Back then CN knew what cartoons were really all about. :-(
seeing interaction between characters from different shows just feels so cool. I felt the same way when Cartoon Network was doing the 20th anniversary stuff.
we need better bumpers on CN. probably shouldn't be a priority, but it would be nice. even the Noods (remember those?) were better than what we got now.
*silently sheds a single tear*
Only 90s kids remember this nostalgic.
Bro this was the 2000s ya goof💀
@GT1 for those who born in 90s
Gosh, they should have made a whole crossover episode. Dang. These were the best days of CN for me.
This was the best Cartoon Network theme.. Oh to be young again!
Why dont you use some chemical X?? LOL BBBBBUUUUURRRNNNNN!! Dexter you so troll XD
It would be pretty awesome if they did a show based off of the old cartoons interacting with one another.
Back in the day when cn was still good
what if they somehow made this into a show
Who Framed Roger the Rabbit the animated show cartoonnetwork version? I would watch that.
This blew my mind, I just went crazy every time I saw one of these. And I still am.
man these promos were the BEST. now they have this lame "are you CN what we're saying" crap.
right
danomyte true
As lame as it is, at least it encourages audience participation and they only do it once a week. The YES era was far worse.
Captain B. Zarre the Yes era was way better than today's promotional crap. There was still effort put into them
When I was little, I thought this was a real city and I wanted to go there so I could become a cartoon and meet all my favorite other cartoon characters.
That sounds like an amazing idea actually.
Cartoons a now a shame
No its not all Cartoons are the best
Did anyone else just have a nostalgic overload?

CN real wasn't all bad, I mean Andrew W.K. hosting Destroy Build Destroy was pretty cool. But with shows like Uncle Grandpa, Teen Titans go, 3 bare bears, the new Scooby Doo reboot, and Clarence I have low hopes for Cartoon Network right now
I miss my childhood... I still remember the old days. It's sad :/ but I really enjoyed cartoon network, it made me happy :)
and to make this generation realize the true meaning of comedy and stuff that cartoons have brought us
This is better then alot of crossovers I have seen.
Those good times with old cartoon network and ps2 I just wish I can go back in time to relive those times again from the early 2000s
Excellent cartoon network city commercials
This day in 2014 is supposebly is to remember this silveraldo era that has been really great in it's young time of year. It's sad to see that they don't show these shows anymore. CN barely has ten shows to show on their channel. Everyone has been asking what happened and what happened is time.
Them: “Infinity War is the most ambitious crossover ever”
Me: *Shows them this*
This is funny even today!
Oh so many memories. I love taking a trip down nastalgia lane!!!!
The good old days when cartoons wear good
Oh my god Cartoon Network was the best back then :'(
the christmas bumpers are so nostalgic, i wish i grew up with this, but no i grew up with noods and present-day check it
Brings back good memories
this was so epic
I am 16 this right here, these commercials where the good old days and I must say when I heard Class of 3000 come up I got kind of excited. I wish they still made collaborations and crossovers of other cartoons : (
AGH! I miss this soooo much!!
Dexter is on POINT with them jokes yo!
Did you try using chemical X man that was a dick move
omg this takes me back
from what i can tell its newer shows are pretty popular. it seems to be working pretty well for them.
This is insane!!!!!!
Don't let it die man be supportive for this old channel
this one hits me right in the face for nostalgic sucker punch
This has to be the golden years, they reached the point where every show was loved (and toonami was still awesome) to where they could spend extra cash to have this amazing place designed and brought a whole new life to them! How i miss CN city, There will never be anything like this ever again, it was every kids dream
Well, it wasn't perfect. Tickle U and Miguzi. Need I say more?
***** Dexter and Courage were still around at this time.
AllMightyKidBuu totally and I'm glade that the reboots does exist in this beautiful city
Can i move there to the city.
The nostalgia is making my heart hurt. Anyone else having this?
Especially the now/then bumpers... UGHHH I MISS OLD CARTOON NETWORK.
+sonicawesomeness God damn it yes. Why did they have to stop these?
13:59 this song will be forever engraved into my brain.
yeah! I feel this too! :'(
and now CN it's a b#llsh#t :'(
+sonicawesomeness I know that bro! u.u
+xXt0x1c-sl1m3Xx Yeah, definitely! :) and it hurts all the more to know that the present day cartoon network is a load of crap by comparison.

Vilatoro same here it hurts to see what it turned into
Vilatoro the children of today will never see how great CN was back then and only get brainwashed by Teen Titans Go
I miss these old days…
It really felt like Cartoon City was real, full of life, had lots of potential, and a great sense of adventure.
wolfguy23 d-dont you say another word before i-i *bursts into tears of nostalgia*
Gameydudex 😢😢😢😢😢
Cartoon Network City was when Cartoon network was at it's best, this is so nostalgic
I know right it was awsome
