I have been watching Rokon videos for an hour. Had dirt and street bikes when I was younger. At 66, awaiting a knee replacement, and like to move slowly and observe, this seems like a machine for me.
What a group ! A build from scratch ! Will have to spring for one now. Wild Kingdom back in the day, wow , the guy lassoing the bear's foot, was that Jim, and lassoing the anaconda with his tail anchored to the stump, was that Jim also ? Never missed an episode. PETA would be protesting if someone brought those old shows back . Thanks for the memories Jim and Marlin, GOD love both of you !
What a great video. I bought a Rokon in 2002 and joined Bob's Rokon world. Havent been on it for a few years, but I recognize a LOT of the names in this video. I feel like I know about half of the guys on here! Too cool..
Just stumbled on this site. Rokon, yes, they were made around here for several years. Knew the owners then, shot a video while they were in Jaffrey, bought and sold several, even got 2 out of one house, used to ride one down to work on a RR bed. Sort of got over it and moved on. NH
Isn't funny how we have fond memories of that TV show, but this current gen with all there talk about green deals and the such they don't have a show on that even holds a candle to it...
Saw my first Rokon back in the mid 60's. Two of them were in a July 4th parade. The chevron lug tractor tires caught my eye because I grew up around farm tractors. Sure do wish I had known more than the little kid I was then & somehow gotten into them then. Going to get one soon as I will be living in New Mex with mountains in my back yard.
What an awesome video. Superb video editing. One couldn't pick a better cast to present the lifestyle, uniqueness, and comraidare of fellow Rokon drivers.
Great Stuff! It was super nice to turn off the bad news of the day, and be immersed in goodness with good people, captured with amazing clarity and vision by Boni. Great edit.
Neighbor across the street had one of the original yellow Trail-breakers sitting in front of his house back in the early '70s. Sure looked like it'd go anywhere.
Rokon Nation a 45 minute documentary is being released on iTunes, Amazon Prime and Google Play in 5 languages and in 60 countries around the world. Pre-sale 1/8/19 and rent/buy 2/5/19.
I always followed Rokon sent away for the Literature always seemed very expensive to me .. I saw many episodes of Mutual of Omaha Wild kingdom but don't ever recall seeing the Rokon ..
That's a 2-stroke motor on the one their scratch built, right? What's the horsepower and torque difference between the 2-stroke and 4-stroke? Has anyone put a stronger motor in them?
I've been wanting one since I was 12 I'm 58 and finally bought a 2023 love it I now have 3 and don't regret buying any of them well worth the price

Wild Kingdom was my favourite show as a kid.

I've got a '72 Trailbreaker in the garage. I'm replacing cables and other small parts, and trying to get it back to new. I loved your video.

Sub'd. I am getting a new knee soon. Studying Rokons all morning.
Brought mine on EBay. Took five days to arrive and I didn’t sleep the whole time.
I miss the Wild Kingdom show. Jim was very brave. He used to leap out of helicopters on to animals.
Finally a man that says the name correctly.. Rock-On
“Rock on!!!” R.i.p Orla
