Corsair keyboards are frankly not that great for the price bracket they retail in, but their Strafe series is more affordable than their K series (K70/K95) while still using genuine Cherry MX switches. That said, there's plenty of Cherry MX clone switches out there in significantly cheaper keyboards that are still a massive improvement over a membrane keyboard. They're basically all from China, but most keyboards for even under $50 are actually pretty solidly built and you'll find a lot of people on a budget using switches from Outemu, Gateron or Kailh without any complaints. I mean, Kailh is even the manufacturer for the switches in Razer keyboards, for whatever that's worth.
You still need a mechanical keyboard nonetheless fucktits.

Why do you need a mechanical keyboard to touchtype accurately? A good typer can type on anything no matter what. Faster switches won't change that. Finger placement and muscle memory will.

I say it isn't worth it though. It's like 200 bucks for something that you can do the same thing for 12 bucks. And I have never gotten fatigued with my K120, for 12 bucks. And feels good and adicting means I'll want to buy more, spending more, for something I could have avoided.
It's like being fine with rubishy noodles, but then trying the good ones, and now you aren't able to go back to the rubishy noodles, because they taste horrible, when before, they tasted fine, and only cost like 50 cents. Replace the noodles with keyboards, and there we go.

bestiebest you don't /need/ one to type accurately, vut it helps in my experience. I was typing around 70WPM before I got my mechanical keyboard, and when I got it I was getting around 85. Hardly the most scientific evidence, could just be placebo, but I like it.

i used old dell keyboards and a4tech keyboard because i cant buy a Mechanical keyboard , but when i used a mechanical keyboard it feels really good , its easy to press the buttons so you wont double click
I use a A4 Tech KM720 and it is one of the best keyboards i've tried. It's bloody cheap and comfortable.

I actually typed slower when I first got a mechanical board because I was used to typing on laptop keyboards with scissor switches and I had a fucked up typing style that used like 3 fingers on my left hand, 2 on my right, and occasionally a thumb on the space bar. Then I learned to type properly and it’s hard to go back to laptop boards now
As a mechanical keyboard owner, it doesn't feel nothing like that.
It might be more precise, but the difference will not actually influence in your gameplay.
You'll play almost the same way with a brand new $10 keyboard.

If you wanted to be a stenographer or something you'd need around 130-160 wpm.
