This is why I never take mine anywhere that I wont be next to it.
At the same time when someone who has a huge collection in a field or museum dies off, the family, grand kids whatever come in and send it all for scrap. Also when someone with a collection won't sell a single car or part and lets them sit and rot in a field.
That seems to be part of the hobby. Sometimes the land is more valuable to the heirs and the rotting car collection is preventing it from being sold. Some of the collectors have a hoarder mentality that I think explains how they accumulate their collection and why they refuse to sell anything.
@@sbf_fox2434It is also the possiblity.
put a gps in it fellas come on
Do people still do this??
Guys like “damn I wanted my insurance pay out”
sad people do this to them cars
CRIMINALS HAVE MORE RIGHTS than U and ME ! MAKE SURE U VOTE TRUMP IN 2024 ! THEN U MIGHT GET SOME JUSTICE
It is NOT great police work to just issue an arrest warrant and ask the chief suspect to report to police HQ and then have to ask a grand jury to indict the other suspects. THIS is why these kinds of crimes will continue. This is an example of lazy policing. The police only want to do the work that they can do between 9 and 5 pm.
Exactly.
Thats why I have trackers. And aggreed coverage on all of my classics.
You always have to have hidden kill switch.. with my Chevy trucks manual transmission.. I remove the stick shift from the transmission ..try Stealing now
If they want it bad enough, they'll just bring a wrecker or rollback truck .
that fact that it’s a manual makes it an anti theft device! Most under 30-35 cant drive stick lmao
A hidden kill switch does nothing on a car with points or even basic electronic ignition, all it takes is a jumper to the battery. As for taking the shift lever out of your truck, I'm guessing it is a top loader where you press down on the retainer and turn like a old type tail light bulb. Well, see the slot and shift rail where the shifter goes? All it takes is a screw driver to shift into a gear and drive away.
@@bobroberts2371 are you going to shift with a screwdriver too.. SM 465 has 6.77 ratio with 410 gears axles you ain’t going no place fast..
@@robtiger why start out in granny gear when you have 4.10s ? Put it in fourth and slip the clutch if need be .
Drag net ! ... Book' em Daniel ! ... Bad Boyz !
when i was a kid i heard of a guy who chased a guy steeling his bike with a wide open chain saw he cut both arms and legs off the next year he was back in school 6 months
No names and faces attached to the crime? Those are cars that can't be replaced.
Hope you got it back ........
Looks like they were cutting it down to ship it over seas to a new owner... theres more to this story
Who are the thieves? How did you catch them? Let’s see photos
It's the cops
Those impalas fetch a prize tag north of 200k in Florida
Potential charges? You mean will they find them after jumping bail
Seems like more work and stress than running a legitimate auto/ body shop. I’m tired just imagining the logistics
Only one thing lower thsan a theif, and thats the buyer of hot parts who knows damn well the parts are stolen.
Yes, however, say someone crashes their car , pulls the good parts then sells them?
So if you go to the swap meet and see a part you want and buy it, how are you to know where it came from?
It's the cops
More than likely the body of the GTO was dumped. Everything else can be parted out.
Freaking sad.
In this day and age if you don't have some sort of hidden immobilizer "switch" and gps/Apple tracking devices on your cherished vehicle, you're just asking to lose your treasured plaything.
Air tags r a joke they don't even work if the other person don't have a iphone...
Oh man. Car guy thumbs down 👎.
I’d be in tears.
Awe the gto!! 😢
Alsume ❤hats off to excellent detectives I pray for that poor GTO owner money doesn't replace cars like this and the man said it right when he said a classic car like that that's been in the family for 25 years as a family member I mean that's like killing somebody's child😢
Don’t steal cars here… you might face potential charges! We’re so tough on crime! 😅
The usual suspects apparently since they didn’t identify the suspects identity.
Factory B.B. Impala owner was REALLY fortunate to get THAT car BACK, literally UNTOUCHED!... NOW, IF just a decent percentage of our police force around THIS country WOULD, maybe "take some notes from THOSE police and ACT like they EVEN"give a chyt" WHEN Classic Cars ARE STOLEN? And the penalties for THEFT in THIS country were like..Just a BIT MORE harsh as well?....We (Classic Car owners/BUILDERS) would NOT have THIS epidemic that IS and HAS BEEN such an issue for the past several decades....Yes, a victim HERE as well, but?... Like the Impala owner HERE? We got super BLESSED to actually get our family 57 Chevy Bel Air hardtop BACK, from the KCK tweaker THEFT RING, OVER 3 years LATER ! And?, DID they (the cops 🙄 ) EVEN prosecute the actual car thief, OR the drug dealer that ended UP with OUR CAR (as he WAS sittin on it, having his buddy "store it" but, the mfer left it OUTSIDE and so, that's HOW we eventually RECOGNIZED AND RECOVERED THE CAR OURSELVES, and told the cops, obviously) as the guy in possession of it was doing time for other offenses. DID they give THAT POS ANY MORE actual TIME behind the walls?.... NO, NOT AT ALL 🤬 MOF? They EVEN let HIM OUT, EARLY! NTM- NOT even doing ANYTHING to the A-hole that WAS holding OUR CAR, for his buddy, inside! SMDH. NOW, I guarantee ya, IF I TRIED ANY of the crap THEM BASTARDS DID? I'D STILL BE, behind the walls somewheres. But? Ya CAN'T get blood from a turnip (like MOST them thieving career criminals) THEY AIN'T GOT NOTHING (OF THEIRS! WORTH ANYTHING, USUALLY) and MOST of em do NOT work a job so...There ya go. Meanwhiles? They ARE ALL singin on EACH OTHERS! THAT'S HOW and WHY MOST of em just KEEPA getting AWAY WITH IT...... Again, the judicial system? FAIL 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎
Great policing wouldn’t have allowed this to happen in the first place!
No picture of the wanted suspect??
It's the cops
