I love the educational side of this community. So when the same 20-30 frags work into every review video or list, it's hard to learn much beyond that. Thanks for videos like this, for the ppl who are open to experiment and learn
I always enjoy your unique and intentional take on fragrances. It's very refreshing and oh so needed. Now, I'm looking to enjoy my fragrances instead of buying a million cheap fragrances.
I greatly appreciate this video series you have started. Yes, I do enjoy some of the designer fragrances that are out but I’m always on the lookout for something different. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Keep this series going, I’m here for all of it.
I swear when I begun 8 months ago all I bought were designers and clones of designers and as a teen it was amazing cause all I cared about was compliment but now that I have all the mainstream stuff they all just smell similar like they're all good and likeable and nothing different so I started watching you and started saving up and started buying from mancera and montale and I'm currently in love with niche fragrances my favorite on so far to wear as a 15 year old is Mancera Red Tobacco and Initio Absolute Aphrodisiac so thank you for getting me into something different and New
One of the reasons I watch you is because of our taste in fragrances and views. Although we share many of the same loves for certain fragrances it's far less likely we would be wearing the same thing on the same day in the same place. Can't say that for Polo Blue etc.. Not to mention I collect and wear what does at least 1 of 3 things: 1. evokes a memory, time or vibe 2. Speaks to me or fits me personally and 3. stands out or wows me artistically. But yeah, I prefer this kind of content. Keep em coming thank you. 👍
Super solid series idea right here! Love your takes and how you articulate the thought process for your videos/content. Great stuff! Also ordered the Adamo discovery set. Nicely done fragrances. Numero II is really good. Appreciate you, Mr Justin!!
I would love you to continue these types of videos. I think a lot of the reason that people go for the same things is because it's about exposure (pause 😂). Either online or in store. Not a whole lot of people are going to explore on fragrantica or other fragrance sites just to find new things to try out. Or search by notes. A lot of people just go with what they've heard about. Or see on some sort of advertising. So it's nice to be able to get exposed to more content.
I always appreciate your content. CONTENT IDEAS.. make a list of fragrances and SPECIFICALLY attach the performance, the projection and MOST IMPORTANTLY THE RECOMMENDED AMOUNT of KF SPRAYS I know body chemistry and pheromones play a role.. but at least you can give a baseline idea Hope this message receives you well
Interesting take to suggest Ormonde Man in place of Aventus. This is why i follow you. You are indeed fresh unlike most of the other reviewers. Take care JC
So it’s a winter-spiced gourmand fragrance, which is perfect for this time of year. As I hear Justin describing it, it’s reminding me of Oajan and Strong With You-something along those lines. I don’t have the fragrance so I could be wrong 🤷♂️
Justin, I wanted to tell you how impressed I am with your 2nd Soul. Ive been collecting for years now and dude, i got a sample of this and it just keeps getting better. Knocked it clean outta the park with this. Just ordered a full bottle in time for fall. Anymore creations coming in the future?
@@stayfreshproductions I hope you get a lot of traction with what you have put out. I've tried other influencers creations and with the exception of Omar's (school of scent) maritime, they don't have the complexity I like. Keep killing it man.
I feel the exact same way about Y EDP and BDC. For Angels’ Share I gave it a try a handful of times and could never picture the scent working for me in any situation. I have personally never found any appeal in sweet fragrances. Great video though. Appreciate your content!
Oh my heart, you just had to go after my fragrance love, Angels Share. I’m crushed. 😭 just teasing!! 🤣 Love the video and I will (reluctantly) check out your AS ‘replacement’. 😁
I have to agree with Ormonde Man, that hemlock note makes it really unique. The only issue I have with it is longevity, it won't stick on me for more than 3-4 hours and no, I'm not confusing longevity with projection. For this exact reason I found its price unreasonable, the scent profile is sublime but if I wear this to the office for example, I don't want to carry a decant bottle and spray it again after 4 hours, I expect at least 6-7 hours from it. Great list though, I will sample some of these. Thanks Justin, top notch as usual.
I love these videos when you do them. This and the “boy, dude, guy, man” series are great. I always want to find alternative options to what most people are wearing.
Bleu de Chanel Parfum is similar to Dior Sauvage Parfum, they don´t smell the same, but they perform the same respect to sillage and longevity. I have tested both and they perform very well and last many hours if you spray 20+ times, they last me the entire day and when I come back home, I can still smell them on my skin pretty easy. The components of both at that level are top notch.
This is definitely in the top three from your different series in my opinion! A unique take compared to other fragrance reviewers! I had to leave this comment and a like for the algorithm.
I love Cedrat Boise. I love the fruity opening, and it dries down great. I’ve contemplated the intense, but not sure if the little bit of longevity is worth it. Your thoughts on the two?
Hello people👋 What fragrances should I get? I own: Prada black Valentino born in Roma coral fantasy Pdm Pegasus exclusive Which fragrance would you all recommend? (And also is there a fragrance which smells woody, hazelnut, maybe a bit spicy and idk like a bit caramel or honey like?)
Make sure you’re sampling the fragrances that interest you! Try to avoid blind buying bottles-they can add up quickly. For sweet woody hazelnut, try Margiela By The Fireplace.
Got the Adamo sample set when you first reviewed it. Didn’t like numero III at all initially…. Now numero III is numero uno. Lol. It’s my favorite of the three and full bottle worthy. Who perfumed that one?
I'd be curious to know what alternatives you would suggest for fragrances like Dior Homme Parfum (especially given how hard it is to find in north america), or the Guerlain classics (Habit Rouge / Heritage / Vetiver).
Hey Justin! I just saw a video here on TH-cam that, spraying fragrances on skin can cause high toxicity levels in the body over time. Have you heard of this before?
Much as we all love fragrances, I don’t think there is any denying that wearing fragrance is exposing your body to more potentially endocrine disrupting chemicals and/or potentially harmful substances than not wearing fragrance is. Take Lilial for instance - it’s been in fragrances for decades, and yet only recently it’s negative affects on fertility have been discovered. It has been the same with other chemicals and natural extracts, and I’m sure it will be the same with other chemicals/naturals down the line that we currently think are safe. That being said, there is a balance to be had, otherwise you’ll be getting in your head about every hair product, skin product, fabric softener, food additive, nonstick pan, airborn toxin, VOC and so forth and you’ll end up living in fear wearing a tin foil hat. Especially considering many of these TH-cam videos are very sensationalised and often have some kind of ulterior motive or bias, so take it with a pinch of salt and listen to the actual scientists and regulators rather than just random people online. So the answer is yes - some of the chemicals (and natural extracts containing these chemicals) in fragrances may potentially have long term adverse affects that we may be unaware or not fully aware of, and IFRA and other regulators are regularly working to try and find out what these are and remove them to make fragrance as safe as possible. It’s up to each person to do their research (actual clinical studies, not blogs or news websites) and make their own personal decisions as to whether to wear fragrances or not. 👍🏻
@@SirSillageSniffingtonman...this is one of the best answers I ever heard, respect. I made some research of my own and also had some negative effects when I used to wear a fragrance every single day - I would sneeze a lot, just like when you have allergies until I learned that they actually cause allergies. So, I started selling my collection as decants and kept 10-20 ml out of each fragrance to myself. Also, I don't encourage buying clones, those are the worst imo. They're really heavy on chemicals and fixatives and have close to 0 natural ingredients in them. I'd rather pay 300$ for a bottle or Roja Elysium than buy some chemical mess like Imperium or Trillium just because they smell 80-85% the same, no one seems to think about what you said earlier. And yes, fertility - especially in men - is a real issue these days, there is a book on this called "Countdown". Regardless, no need to turn paranoid like you said but we need to practice moderation. In the past perfumes were used to special occasions, now going to work, home office, shopping, going to the movies - all of it - turned into a special occasion and we need a fragrance for every single one of them, we have to have them all and we cannot openly admit that we have a disease, we can't get enough of the next thing, we ended up calling it "passion for fragrances" or "a hobby" but in reality if you have more than 5 fragrances in your closet (and I have at least 30 bottles and 60 samples and decants) - you have a problem and it's usually not resolved via purchasing more and more fragrances. I would honestly try spraying them on clothes to minimize the direct exposure - if you do indeed love perfumes like most of us do. Peace.

I’m curious about Ambre Tabac by Josier. It’s supposed to have a similar vibe to Angels Share and Oajan/Ambre Narguile.
That Ambre Tabac is absolutely amazing its closer to Naxos than the other 2 it's 159 at la Belle perfume and worth every penny..
I need to try it
