John Varvatos original and vintage are goated and so overlooked. They beautifully encapsulate the vibe of everything a proper gentleman should be. Just timeless scents. I would add Ralph Lauren’s Romance Silver, but it’s been long discontinued.
Royal Oud is perfect for fall. Very classy, yet easy to wear. I'm wearing Thameem Carved Oud today, which plays a very similar role. Both are beautiful.

I am lucky to own 2 old bottles of the old la nuit. I agree with you, the performance of the newer batches is not that much of a problem, but sadly it lost some of it‘s original character. The newer versions are less spicy and warm, but more on the soapy side of things.
This fall I’ll be looking forward to wearing Acqua di Parma Note ii from their private line Bulgari Gyan Incident diplomatique Eight and bob Nuit de Megeve Chanel sycamore Dior bois dargant Profumum Roma Antico Caruso. There are others of course but these are must haves for me

I didn't think I really enjoyed Apple fragrances, but the amount that they have in this one is just perfect. It just does something to me when my husband wears it. And we share it.

Fall is my favorite season and really when I begin picking up wearing more fragrances into the winter. JV Vintage is one I wear all year. Triumph of Bacchus is on my radar. I finally scored a bottle of DHO last spring and I'm going to spray some on right after I finish typing this...probably my favorite at the moment.
I really like D&G The One edp. It’s really pleasant. I also think it’s similar to Azzaro Wanted by Night. Not the same, but similar. Both are nice. Love Bacchus! I can’t wait for the 30 ml bottles to be available.
Love it! Vintage is amazing, thanks for bringing it to my attention about 2 years ago. I went through a whole bottle and got another. love the stuff.. Layton is lovely. Geranium (and red pepper) are the reasons I love Xeryus Rouge and Gentleman Boise! Not a big fan of creed in general. Love The One! In contrast I don't care for Iris at all ergo Dior Homme is not my cup of tea. I have a bottle of YSL l'homme, I think it is La Nuit have to dig it out! One of my favorites for the fall (not that we have a true fall here) is Escape from CK. Old, vintage bute lovely, one of the first fruity fragrances, I think it was released in 1995 or so. The bottle I have have macerated for 2 decades and smells deeper and more mature (in a good way) than the original.
Great video and great selection. JV Vintage is a really masterpiece. In my opinion other fragrance made for fall is Burberry London but my favorite is ADP Leather EDCC.
When i first got into my frag journey performance mattered. Now which a little over a year of really getting into frags as long as i get 5 hours out of a fragrance im good.

In autumn I find myself drawn to scents like Rocabar by Hermès, or Tom Ford's Tom Ford for Men by Tom Ford. But this autumn also shows signs of staying warm for another week or two, and I think my next purchase will be one of the Thameen Britologne collection.
Justin if your liking iris why don’t you try Caron pour Un homme Le soir if you haven’t already. Dark lavender and iris it’s a great twist on the original combining that herbal lavender with iris. They carry it on fragbuy for under 100 bucks

Justin. You have not tried Royal Tobacco? Oh my God! This is crazy good. It takes the best pipe tobacco smell and has so many amazing supporting notes. It feels gourmand but not in a taste way. It is arguably best ever tobacco frag
Justin have you ever done a video about complex fragrances (aka ones that smell different over the course of the dry drown) vs linear fragrances (aka smell the same pretty much the whole time)? There are some frags where I like how the opening is but then the dry down is just not as nice. On the other hand, there are some Frags that just have one great note that last the fill life of the wearing. I think of it almost like music how some songs are simple but sound amazing and are really catchy, then there are songs that are extremely complex, and you can appreciate it, but they don't stick in your mind like the simple ones. I would be interested in seeing you do a list (best of each) or comparison of the two types.
I’ve done videos like this in the past. In general, I prefer evolution in a fragrance, but I definitely have some linear scents that I enjoy. I don’t believe they are truly comparable!

Also, ill like to tell you that when it comes to communication of ideas, you've got no equals. Triumph of Bachus is one of the best tobacco scents but i do not like the name of it. It's demonic. Argos's got too many demonic names for his fragrances . Idea is personally mine please.
I like to layer D&G the One with Afnan Supremacy in Oud or PdM Haltane.... I don't really layer fragrances too often because they are not composed to be blended... but this combination is really quite nice 👌

If a frag allegedly lasts 20 minutes on one person and 4-6 hours on another, that is skin chemistry at its finest. But it could also be olfactory fatigue if you’re spraying around the front of your neck or your chest, or if you’re constantly sniffing it up close on your hand.

Layton is boring, i dont get the hype it gets… the green apple opening is awful, the dry down is pretty ok. Just bought it last year and i wore it maybe 4 times. I own around 70 scents and layton is one of my least used.
Royal Oud is the sh...... Top 5 ever. Generally good picks. PDM are overrated. Especially with the corporate buyout. But the Layton shower gel is amazing. If I had to pick one PDM fragrance, it would be Herod.

My dng the one is literally a 20 min fragrance, idk how u get 4 to 6 hours out of it. And when a frag only lasts 20 min is not about skin chemistry.
