Naxos is possibly my all-time favorite fragrance. I absolutely love the honey in it and the way it works with the tobacco. Alexandria Fragrances 1981 X is a beautiful interpretation of it. I sadly had a bad experience with Signature Tabac.
I got a sample to try it, and by the time I got the sample, the bottles sold out. I hope they do a re-run because it's a great and surprisingly wearable fragrance.
Fabulous video ! As much as I love and wear Percival I have gravitated to Kajal Faris for my work fragrance it last 8 plus hours and never fails to get compliments plus I feel great wearing it

I agree with you on most. Jazz club doesn’t smell like a jazz club. It smells like college days around a backyard table while friends smoked cigars, we all enjoyed a tumbler of whiskey discussing the merits of philosophy, religion and political world views. It’s the only reason I keep a small bottle in my collection, for those days when I feel reflective and I’m missing my friends back home. I’ll keep Percival though. It does move me. Psychologically I feel a foot taller with this one on. I’ve tried Fierce and Legend and Percival is just deeper, richer with a fruity nuisance I don’t get in the other two. But I recommend to everyone to only buy at a reputable discounter or wholesaler. $165-185 always beats the $365 it goes for a retail. Like you have said so often fragrances at their heart are an accessory and if they don’t complete your outfit or make you feel a certain way that’s beneficial then they don’t or shouldn’t have a place in your wardrobe. Series recommendation…what happens to the material quality of the juice after a company goes mainstream or is acquired. What happens when brands tell untruths about the materials they’re using. I can’t even recommend Byredo anymore, and I would be shocked if PDM actually uses any of the materials they say they use, with the exception of citrus notes. This should lead into another conversation defining niche, masstige and designer. I also must recommend that people collect early releases from brands they love before they’re hyped. This generation of collectors have a chance to make brands honest again, would love to see influencers lead the charge.
I didn't get Prada L'Homme until a few months ago. It's a hit. I resisted it for years. I love layering it with NR Bleu Noir for a little extra sharpness. I've settled on the fact that the ultimate upgrade for Naxos is just Spicebomb EDT. Wear them side-by-side and tell yourself the niche is worth another $160.
I love Prada Lhomme and i will continue to wear/appreciate it. I own some frags you have mentioned to be replaced such as Oud Wood, Reflection, Elysium and today's mention of Percival and I welcome the suggestions save for the one to replace Prada Lhomme. 😅

To me Pasha Parfum isn’t even comparable to Jazz Club because of how much better it is. I mean I do like and own Jazz Club but is just so so weak even with 10 sprays I can’t smell it on myself and enjoy the wearing experience.. Pasha Parfum is a masterpiece to me! Great video as usual Justin

I must say I had a naxos sample and it didn't move me the way the hype is. Still doesn't. Signature tabac does actually have the same elements but it is for sure not as versatile. Much more elegant smelling. Side note,I put leather tabac, signature noir and aurum samples in a decant sprayer then added some tonka to it and created something amazing 😅. It's my special $20 zaharoff concoction

My upgrade from Jazz Club is Tumi Continuum. JC is too dry, I feel it in my throat. Sold it and bought Tumi. Has similar foundation but makes more of a statement. Addition of rum and vanilla coke to me.
Cant beat Tere d'Hermes. It clear, fresh, earthy soil an vetiver. If only i could find a tobacco scent or greatbarbershop aromatic that gave me the same confidence.

Naxos is, in my opinion, the single most overrated and overhyped piece of perfumery to grace this earth at the moment. It's the most 7/10 fragrance I've ever smelled.
And the quality of Boucheron is far far less quality and the scent is just blah compared to Percival, despite that Percival doesn't veer away from known designer fragrances by much, but it remains a far better choice than Boucheron. There is a reason why some of these popular choices are popular, it's quality, scent profile, and performance, I expected something that could beat them on all three to qualify as an upgrade. Original Vetiver is the easiest of easy reaches. You simply can’t go wrong with it.

They’re not similar! GIT ultimately has a little more complexity. OV is cleaner and simpler, but still has nuance.
