These trackless rides are so cool. It’s like there’s a little show in each room. Plus, you’re not struggling to look at everything at once like with most track dark rides because it actually points your seat in the direction you’re supposed to be looking.
It's by far one of the most impressive dark ride Disney have ever made! Amazing!

Florent Kubrick I’ve been there. My favourite parts was the freezing cold room and the bugs. It felt so weird! That has got to be the best ride I have ever ridden.
Florent Kubrick, there is also a similair ride in Disneyland Paris, but it's ratatouille instead of this.
Hey!!! It's trexia!! It doesn't have to be dark to be considered a dark ride. A dark ride is an indoor ride that tells a story rather than for thrills(like a roller coaster tract) so like Snow White, peter pan, Pinocchio, etc etc are considered dark rides :)
This just feels like Disney getting back to its theme park roots: iconic visual gags, impressive practical effects, original characters, and a catchy song to tie it all together
This ride is better than any ride that's been released in Disneyland/Disney World in the last 10 years. Why can't they build more impressive, light and musical spectacular dark rides like this? This ride also has great capacity and can fit many people.
Because they're focused exclusively on cost and riders per hour, unfortunately
WDW has Flight of Passage. It's out of this world and Frozen ride.
Star Wars: Rise of Resistance is this type of ride, and by what I hear it is the best ride in Disneyland/World, but they are having issues with the ride breaking down.
@@DarthSoto78 it breaks down a lot because it utilizes three different ride systems that all have to act as one, so if kne goes down, they all go down
Haunted mansion was made 50+ yes ago with 90% of it being dated technology. And still blows this ride away

This ride is incredible! It was also very quiet when we visited so had plenty of rides on it!

Theme Park Worldwide yes I’ve never been, but the technical work that’s done to it is incredible and visually amazing. And a tracked ride? Wow!!!
QDude24 , Both very different. And on top of 'different', take in mind Mystic Manor project got a budget 5x that of Symbolica.... in other words, what Symbolica acheived BUTGETWISE, is bejond the imagineering possibilities of ... Disney ! .. :-)
Wig4 that is true, but this also applies for other Efteling darkrides, such as Fata Morgana and Dreamflight.
Yes. Disney Imagineering would commit suicide, collectively, if they got the order to DO same size/category of whatever attraction, at 1/3 to 1/5 budget they are used too... as I have insider information, however up to 50% (30-50%...) of total budget on development and building of a Disney attraction is spent on ... BLUNT WASTINGS (in construction phase, that is a never ending suite of change orders.... in other words, they SPILL money on an enormous scale, because nobody feels responsible for ANY buck passing through their decicion notes...
It's always great when Disney does a ride not based on a movie / TV show.

I live in Hong Kong, and been through this ride 4 times since it's launch!!! BEST RIDE EVER! THRILL TO EVERYONE AND CATCHY MUSIC! NOT TO MENTION THE EASTER EGG, REFERENCE, BACKSTORIES, CHILLS AND EXCITEMENT
I live in Hong Kong and when I go to this Disneyland, my favourite ride is this ride (Mystic Manor)! 😍 I always ride this ride like ten times once I go to Disneyland but I didn’t even know it was trackless XD 😂
3:48 the Egyptian mummy bit is great. The moment everything goes dark, they spray a bit of water droplets on you to make it feel as though the scarabs emerging from the sarcophagus have landed on you

They have the haunted mansion. We Chinese doesn't believe about ghosts so this is our version of the haunted mansion.

@@arianastan6574 It's not that they don't believe in ghosts, it's that the dead are regarded with great honour and respect in China, and the traditional Haunted Mansion's irreverent take on the dearly departed would be viewed as offensive and disrespectful. Hence the storyline change.

Most people in Hong Kong speak English coz England governed it and gave it to China in the 90s but a lot of people in Hong Kong don’t like the way the chinese government are running it like a communist country

Hong Kong, once one of the least impressive Disney Parks, is in recent years showing its true potential, and completely owning every other park in the dark ride game with this ride. However, the Star Wars land coming out will very likely change that, as the eventual dark ride to be installed in that land will be the most advanced ride to date apparently. Considering how amazing this ride is, I'm interested to see how Disney's dark ride game has improved in the years since this came out. They've got big shoes to fill.
Love to see the lights glittering around the rooms, and it looks real! most of it looks real!!

This, Mystic Manor and Pooh’s Hunny Hunt at Tokyo are definitely the best trackless rides at any Disney park.
I ate something at Fantasy Land then had a tummy ache but I was queuing for this ride (the line was long) I was so relieved to finally be able to sit down on the ride because the handle bar kind of calms my tummy a bit when I press my tummy against it XD it was a really nice ride :)
I also noticed some scenes I remembered were missing on my second ride.
Wow so beautiful 😮. I love it. Way better than the Paris one. The one in Paris is very dark and frightening. The story is also not very clear. You need to read Wikipedia to understand it 😂. They should have make the Hauted house movie upon this manor. It woudl have been better.
Hong kong is a crazy place, the characters in the ride are speaking in English, and you get to choose from 3 languages when u get on the jungle river cruise
But they speak Chinlish 😂

jagiraldo2004 the que is the same overall theme, it has a collection of artifacts and quite a few pictures and things that relate to Disney park lore. Then they have a pre show that is really cute that introduces the characters and tells the story of the music box! There are other videos that show this if you want to see it for yourself!

The queue tells you like a little backstory, you can see artifacts, and there's a fun screening room with a short introduction

It's amazing, but I'd never give up my Haunted Mansion here at Disney World for this. This would need to be it's own thing, I would never trade away any ride here for this, as cool as it is.

I know! I've been there and the scene of the pharaohs and the bugs. Small water droplets fall from the ceiling onto your lap and it almost feels like bugs, amazing and my favourite ride

I love the Haunted Mansion but this looks way more fun. I hope it comes to the states sometime in the future, if that'll ever happen

You must ride Symbolica in Efteling. It's a trackless Darkride and it is very amazing like Mystic Manor
I am amazed, i mean the last time i went to a Disneyland (It was in France to anyone wondering ... nobody does anyway) the Animatronics still only had basic movements and always this slight mechnaical wobble. Not to mention any ride was on Rails ... expet the ones wich clearly went around an axis.
So no carts or what looks like Lazers or even Holograms.

they are on wheels, though there is a wire on the floor that they follow. Kind of like Universe of energy or the great movie ride if you evr rode those

Wire following tech, is downright antique, those are fixed-path vehicles, as we would say : "on rail without the iron" :-) First use already in 1960 (Arrow) wich is 58 years AGO... lol ... I believe you were OVER two times your own age not yet born then, DeltaDizzy ? .... :-) ... (I was ! Seen all techs in evolution) In the Efteling's Symbolica darkride (Thea award 2017) there is even movement interactivity on board (a step further then Disney's Mystic Manor tech) in a ride section where visitors are separated into 3 different experiences for the same ride.

It's a "trackless" ride, because it doesn't follow a fucking track. What you just said LITERALLY describes what a track is.
And what the other dude said was completely correct, the carriages are controlled entirely via a wi-fi connection, and is told where to go and how fast to go through the use of scripts, typed up on computers. This allows for almost limitless customization, and even allows for a randomization in the path the carriage takes.
They are literally just remote-controlled cars.
I don't know who the fuck you think you are, but stop spreading misinformation about the wonderous engineering that goes in to making Disneyland rides so great.
I think this is like known as a family haunted ride yk, I've gone on this ride with two other small children once, and although they were kinda scared, they enjoyed it too!

The attraction store has a lot of monkeys with different culture's architecture inspired shelfs. My favorite part is the monkey fireplace.

The concept of the trackless ride system still sounds cool but there just always seems to be a ton of wasted open space in these rides. The effects do look amazing here but some of the rooms seemed so big and empty
