- Welcome brothers and sisters to our new episode of the Metal Legends series, where we are talking about the legendary metal bands that we love.
Epic riffs. Mythic solos. A legendary vocalist. One of the best thrash metal bands of all time. We are talking about Artillery today. Now, let’s not keep our Danish giants waiting, and start with a brief history of the band.
I am the old guard, the first 4 albums because I like the greit, i discovered them in 2009 by chance (Always was big into thrash though a finger in every genre) and they did an excellent job of separating themselves from the majority, which to me set them up with the top 10 Thrash Metal Bands as distinction matters to me, it brands them as a unique experience.

The first 3 are just GODLIKE.... "The 3rd and 2nd are my all time fave. I could live without that shit song "terror squad" this said but "The Challenge" and "In The Trash" (GREATEST THRASH SONG EVER) make it for that shit song... The 3rd has so many unreal godly numbers...insane rifferama....
Definitely brother! Artillery's first 3 albums hold a very special place in my heart, are the finest examples of thrash in my opinion. The Stützer brothers are second to none when it comes to riffage! And anything on By Inheritance (except for Razamanaz for me) is unlike anything else you can hear from any band! And by the way, I'm very happy for getting to talk with a fellow Artillery fan like you :) Thanks a lot for that 🤘🤘🤘🤘
@@madeofmetal7432 Totally agree..the only bunch that could compete with them were the ANGEL DUST guys on the first album and the HEATHEN duo Altus/ Piercy. that's bloody all.... Yeah that NAZARETH cover should have never been included on that record.... other than this it's just a flawless record... well I'm not too hot on don't believe...that old song should hazve been left to rot on old demos haha
I’m just getting into them, but Time Has Come is so far my favorite
By Inheritance is my favorite Artillery album. It's an all time classic. Khomaniac is my favorite Artillery song.
Seen them last night in Spartenburg South Carolina they killed it .. The nee lead singer is hilarious we got drunk had a great time
Very well done! Unfortunately, I haven't been following them closely over the last 20 years or so. This video got me intrigued to listen to the recent albums again.

Great band. By Inheritance is an all time classic thrash album. Artillery just got finished the Headbangers Ball tour in Europe with Vio-Lence, Xentrix and Whiplash. Awesome lineup.
