Onyx, I am quite sure they did not say it. And Rarity just helping Pinkie make it is not Rarity making it. It would have the very least involved as much effort form Pinkie as bying since it would be still her idea and she would buy the materials. And she should be able to sow at least a little with help since it's such an early project too. But there was no sowing machine with them so it would not have worked as a last minute fix. At least I don't think the ponies can sow completely without a machine (or magic) with hooves.

That was different ending than normal. The new drawing style of firebrand and how mangakamen are drawn compliment each other as they look like they belong in the same universe. Both are amusing.

I didn't think about why Rarity didn't make the pouch for Pinkie. Until now, at least. Have you ever tried to walk and sew at the same time? Trust me, it's hard. And given that Pinkie was EXTREMELY specific about the material and stitches used to make it, that would mean that Rarity would have been even mkre delayed to check her shop, not to mention she wouldn't have been able to spend the day with Pinkie and Maud. Nor would we have had this episode in general.
Yep. It's one of those dumb animation oversights, but it really fits the darker interpretations of Pinkie Pie. ...Actually, Pinkie Pie taking over as The Joker and being a happier, less deadly Joker would happen. The actual Joker can handle Batman and the cops, but a crazy pink pony who breaks the laws of physics? The only one who could break him faster is a psychic raccoon girl with a boundless sense of humor and a love of kindness/helping out named Quinn.
Pinkie didn't think to have Rarity make a pouch beforehand, and tunnel visioned on buying the pouch. This episode is fun for the little comedy and character bits strewn throughout, like Rarity's Pinkie impression, complete with Morph Ball/Spring Ball moment, Maud's ice skating, the Maud Sense, Maud's super slow wink, and other little touches like that.

The entire episode is predicated on ignoring that Rarity can sow. Just like the Animal Sanctuary episode is predicated on ignoring Fluttershy's friends all have the talents she needs. Also on ignoring how Fluttershy dreams up a bunch of extremely vague, aetheric notions without any knowledge of the subject, yet still expects everyone to follow her extremely random and non specific specifications to the letter.
Earth Ponies, They have heightened senses to the point where it seems like a supernatural 6th sense ie Pinkie Sense & Maud Sense. They detect things in their surroundings and can tell whats about to happen/happening without full comprehension of what exactly is happening/going to happen. This would make sense that this is the earth pony power as Celestial has been shown to have visions before.
This is a show about magical, colorful equines. I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't dodge the oncoming fire, but just shook it off, or poofed himself back to being- Not, full of holes...
Personally speaking, I'm rather easy to shop for. Since my birthday is four days apart from Christmas (December 22nd.) My list is basically a half B-Day/half Christmas list. A list that comprises of the most simplistic of items, a handful of DVDs and a book. I say simplistic because some people want EXTREMELY high level gifts. From the latest IPhones, the newest game systems, fancy clothes, jewelry to TROPICAL VACATIONS! Stuff that would cost hundreds of dollars to buy. Whereas my stuff is rather cheap. Some of the DVDs I list have price tags of 20-30 dollars. This way, my family won't have to make unnecessary sacrifices; like Pinkie did
You have the same birthday as my little sister, and I totally get where you're coming from with that. Getting her a birthday present and a Christmas present is so freaking hard when the dates are like three days apart.
