YXZ1000R DYNO DAY (NA vs DIY Turbo vs Packard Supercharger)

  • Dyno day at House of Horsepower with 3 completely different yxz’s
    First on the dyno is my 2018 Homebuilt turbo YXZ
    Next was Cody in his NA 2017 YXZ, Running NA stage 2 reckless tune
    3rd is Josh with his fully built 2016 YXZ with a packard supercharger system...
    Dyno was putting down some low numbers unfortunately, we have some tweaking to do 😂

    How does that super charged yxz run i thought about getting that setup.
    But it seems like only people that work for Packard have good running cars

    Need to finish tuning it, sounds rich as he'll when you floor it then it clears up in the high upper rpms

      My tuning software bricked up and wouldn’t let me make changes day of, figured I’d try to send it anyway

    Always a good day when no blocks are cracked lol i broke all 3 rods in mine and 3 holes in the block with nitrous lolol fully built engine from CHP and turbo going on soon.

      I’m suspecting I’ll be making all sorts of changes for more power/efficiency including building my own exhaust manifold ect...
      But... I gotta run this setup as is with refined tuning to see how much more I can pull out of it...
      Definitely proved you can build your own kit with shit off Amazon though lol 😂

      @@RecklessRanch yessir i wana see how far you can push it! Not worth windowing your block tho. Im shooting for the 300hp mark with mine. Did the 2860r turbo. Air to air Intercooler thatll support 450hp. May go ahead and do e85 as well but ima have to sell the 780cc injectors for sone 1050cc.

      @@RecklessRanch the problem is I think you can get numbers close to that with exhaust, tune, cam and air box spacer

    I make alittle more than 17hp .... the sensor on the primary kept falling off. I think I averaged 165hp. After my clutch kit is installed looking for 180 plus. Are you going to UTV Takeover in June ??

      Tuning issues... Running Packard tuned ecu with auto tuner... something isn’t happy though

    Also on your turbo car id do away with the external wastegate (i think i seen you had one) and just run the integral gate on the turbo and adjust the rod for boost level. They seem more accurate on low boost setups. Im not gna run an external wastegate.

      Mine isn’t going to be low boost for long... I’m hoping to be in the 20-25psi range by the end of the spring/summer. 9.5-1 compression pistons, Carrilo rods and head studs

      Probably a bit , we have progressed SOOO far since this video though. Our sponsor has a dynojet in ground dyno and we have made 235whp on 15lbs
      This was untuned 5psi, no idea what we were doing at the time haha 😂
      Literally hitting the dyno again this weekend and hoping to up the boost and get closer to 300whp. Will make a edited vid so stay tuned

      Yes, stage 4 Alba engine kits... low comp forged pistons, rods, arp studs ect, engines rated to hold up to 500 crank hp

    That’s the crappiest Dino I have ever seen. Without changing the tune your Dino numebers should not fluctuate like that pull to pull

      @@RecklessRanch that will be great. Yeah I was not trying to insult you guys. I like your videos. I just do some engine building and tuning myself, and I know those numbers are off. Also I would hate to see people your viewers avoid parts y’all try over faulty dyno numbers.
