Man the short period of time before the Switch Pro Controller aged was really neat. And now we're here and the PowerA gamecube controller is still goated.
Over the past days I had watched your entire DRG playlist and was sad to have run out And then this descended like that one gif of mercy from overwatch
Put the tiny Terra in a pot, see if it will grow :3 That aside, I too have a Pro Controller that drifts. It's not too bad, but its enough to not play more technical games with it.
Sure gyros sound good, but I’m watching his aim twitch almost uncontrollably the entire time. 11:54 watch in real time as the wobbling fucks them up. However FUCK YEAH MORE DEEP ROCK GALACTIC, ACE YOURE THE ONE WHO GOT ME INTO THIS GAME WOOOOOO THIS GAME FUCKING ROCKS ANS SO DO YOU!
I clicked on this video thinking "haha, deep rock with a busted controller, that sounds funny" Then it occurred to me that using a switch controller means playing DRG with gyro aiming, and now I unironically want to know how to try it myself.
If someone told me xbox controllers had gyro motion control as an option I would have absolutely gotten in to controllers way way sooner in my life. . . This video has been enlightening to the possibilities of life
They don't. Switch, Playstation, Steam, and several 3rd party Controllers do. Xbox is like a decade behind on their controllers. I have seen some add-ons that add a form of gyro to some Xbox controllers but they aren't as accurate and are more expensive then just getting a controller with it built in.
@@AceTheOcarinaMaker You see that's just how little I know or have ever paid attention to controllers in general, but it also doesn't surprise me about xbox. I've seen more games coming out on pc incorporating controller options, so its definitely something I may look in to in the future. Very appreciated insight still
While I agree that gyro is something every controller should have, I'm hard trained on using right stick to aim from my Halo: Reach and Black Ops days. Halo also remains the only FPS that I play with a controller anymore.
The best way to use Gyro IMO is to use it in tandem with the stick. The only times sticks are usable at high level play is when games are designed to accommodate them by adding mild or intense aim assist. Gyro removes a barrier to the many games without aim assist and allows a stick's response curve or general sensitivity to be set much more sensitive and snappy while covering the fine adjustments it can't reliably do. The problem is Gyro is far better as a mouse input then trying to emulate a stick because the game will treat it like one and make it very disorienting to use. Which means if the game doesn't allow simultaneous controller and mouse inputs, you might have to set the whole controller as a mouse and keyboard and lose out on some analog control. I actually have a video coming out soon after this one where I use a controller that doesn't even have a 2nd stick. It has to turn with buttons. But it still has gyro and as it turns out, while it is very nice to have a stick to work with the gyro, gyro absolutely doesn't need the stick.
Ive checked online It happened around 2 years ago Ace never mentioned it and everyone is speculating that he did a extreme voice impression, which also happened to the guy who was trying to make an english dub of battle of Omega, Its sometimes permanent sometimes not, but his voice is just permanently plant now and he doesnt care... actually im half sure he thinks its funny
@@Thorngot its been TWO years its def irreversible I mean he could use an ai to voice change himself back by feeding it his old voice, but i think he likes being this

Shoutouts to the sweatnerds in tf2 telling me to unallive myself for using motion controlls in 2018
I see it's from a stream before season 5 came out. Hope you enjoy the lack of rockpox in the new season.
