i'm really glad we're getting the new DQ Monsters game, because it kinda seemed like Squeenix was done legalizing those. The first DQ game got a Japan-only 3D remake for the 3DS and a Switch port in Japan a few years ago
Penny's Big Breakaway could be really great, a colorful 3D platformer from the team that made Sonic Mania! The movement looked really fun, definitely keeping an eye on it
The new Mario platformer's style reminds me a lot of Nintendo Power magazine covers. Big fan of the whole direct. I've played Super Mario RPG: LotSS maybe twenty times over the course of my life, and I absolutely love the new style.
Great direct! Cant wait for the mario game, and excited to finally play Mario RPG. Love that they released the Pikmin games also, though I personally enjoy them on my Gamecube.
I've seen several people being critical of "How would the Switch even be able to run the Arkham games?" But we seem to be forgetting the age those games partially have and how there's several other "impossible" ports for the switch that deliver a great, even unexpected, quality and performance with Nier Automata being one of the recent ones. The switch can run Crysis, so Arkham will be, in the right hands, fine.
For me it’s Arkham Knight specifically, Asylum and City being 360/PS3 era seems par for the course with Switch ports but Knight is a REALLY dense game visually. A really detailed city, constant rain, tons of lighting, and you’re speeding around all of this so quickly in the Batmobile. Just seems like that game in particular might be a challenge!
What are you most excited to get your hands on? Something about Super Mario RPG is finally calling to me.
Switch coming in hot for my nostalgia this November.
