Super glad to have found your channel. Love the down-to-earth method behind all your recipes making them cook-able by everyone not just expert home chefs
Coming from a Latina yes birria is made with goat meat but not always traditionally since it is hard to find someone who can cook it properly, we use beef to cook it a lot of the time too. This recipe is amazing! And very cool you tired it! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Man I didn’t know how I’d feel bout the fusion cause Birria is a tradition, but yoooo when you pulled out them dried chilies and payed respect to the homeland, making all your Mexican fans proud 😭😭
I made this last night. It was so good!!! The only thing I did differently was removing the seeds from the chili cause of the kids. Happy to report that the kids loved it.
So this recipe for the record is perfect. The only thing I alter when I do it is using Udon Noodles instead of regular ramen. To really absorb the flavor, and using beef stock to hydrate the sauce instead of water. Also braised pork shoulder would be fantastic and another way to meld the Japanese ramen meets Birria concept. Love your channel bro keep doing your thing!!
I just found you today lol and so far the videos are wildly entertaining you are so easy on the eyes too .....Ya know I'm a single Latina wishing I can find a guy like you who is such a foodie 🥰
honestly as long as you use the authentic spices doesnt matter how you cook it use the birria with whatever you want it elevates any dish i must try this
I’ve been craving birria ramen 🍜 😍 he makes it look so easy! - When he said I need a Latina in my life.. & then says he’s not joking 😭😂 so smooth like the birria he just pulled off
Thank you so much for acknowledging the state of Jalisco and also humbling your recipe and transparency. Great job on the chile pod choice. I personally will add a dry chipotle and passila to it.
From a Cali chic, I gotta say this is a must try! We wait in long lines for Birria Ramen 😋. Only difference in Cali, we only use pork or goat to make Norris. It’s a must try either way
Like? LOVE!!! We have a family around the corner who serves Quesobirria con consume on their front porch. It’s my favorite place to eat on Sunday’s. My mouth was watering right along with everyone else’s! So bomb. So fire 🔥
Love that your videos don't feel made up or scripted for YT. Seems like I'm watching a friend cook, tongue slips, blunders and all. I'm sure whatever you make always tastes terrific!! Wouldn't refuse a bite or ten 👍👍
I just made this tonight with leftover birria taco meat and its consume. I used Wegman’s Wheat Ramen Noodles. OMG! It was a perfect smash of cuisine. Birria is traditionally a soup that was turned into tacos so it is a solid base.
As a fellow baker and cook who sometimes impresses himself, I know that feeling you had at the end lol 😙🤌🏾Def gotta try this one!! Thank you for sharing!
This looks soooo delicious!! Being Latina and loving ramen I cannot wait to try. Looks hella flavorful. So glad I found you on IG love watching your videos. Keep up the great vibes, you got mad talent😍
My family (from Jalisco) makes birria with beef shank shoulder and short rib. The more fat the better. We use all the grease that forms at the top of the broth to dip the tortillas and make queso birtia tacos.
This is a dream for me two things I love and I've done this before except with pasta. Also the birria recipe is good, it is basically the essential spices needed. My mom just soaks the most of the spices over night after a couple hours (maybe heats it up a little, I don't pay attention during this part), blends it to make the sauce, and then throws in meat with the sauce/water to cook. Any meat is fine even chicken (my mom actually prefers chicken vs me who thinks it's the worst meat to use, but hey it's still birria) people just like goat because it tastes the best. Also all the other things you do is to be extra, traditional, or to make the meat more manageable/tender (goat).
People are so sensitive nowadays the fact that this respectable guy has to constantly apologize for making a delicious meal is beyond me. I understand being respectful towards the culture but come on
I don't think most people take the time to imagine a world where we didn't steal, inspire, and influence each other's cuisines. Trust me, it would be a sad sad world! Fusion is beautiful!
As a Mexicana from JALISCO i feel very well represented because you use the spicy tea bag😃(although most if not all of us blend those spices in to the sauce for maximum SAZON) And yes Birria Ramen has been a thing for a while now! Next time try it with finely diced onions and cilantro with radishes 😋
Yooo! This looks insanely awesome! My two favourite cuisines mashed into one! I think you completely lost your mind but in the right place, my friend 😍🙏🏼 I want to tryyyyyyyyy like right now, no joke!!!
