Bro, just came from your "The Fall" video. I immediately had to go to your channel and check for newer videos...should have been no surprise to see many more since. Really glad you are still doing what you love. Keep em coming, Human!
Man I still really like this video it was 1 of the first tree climbing/cutting videos I saw and it really got me interested in tree work and now it is almost 2 years that I have been climbing and i still love this video. Thank you for the inspiration and stay safe
You are fast becoming my favorite channel. When I was in my 20's as a Police officer I did a lot ot tree work after storms just to assist the families most was just on the ground. I was often paid with a hot meal or a home baked pie. This was the inner city and they had very little to give. I have done some tree work in the air but I was very careful not to do more than I was comefrountable with. I am now 68 the only tree climbing I do is for bow hunting and since I am death in one ear my balance sucks so I am always tied in. Where do you get your equiptment? There are a few things you use that would make me feel much safer in my tree stands.
There are so many things that are just a joy to see: The All Blacks in full flow, someone elses dog jumping in a muddy puddle, dreaming cats, Scotland scoring tries, my niece chasing waves. Watching the laddie here having fun up a tree is well up there with all of them!!
I don't know what it is about your videos, but I find them relaxing and a great way to unwind from the day. Plus I like how you're always saying, "Thank you" to your ground crew.
im glad that you are filming the set up. its awesome to be able to see how you do what you do. how you set everything up and whatnot along with the cutting. Thank you man and your channel is awesome.
I would love to see a couple of videos which go into detail about rigging for both your climb and the drops and Re-directs. Please explain the rope and ‘hardware’ you use. Thanks. Thoroughly enjoy your videos.
I've been watching a lot of these videos lately. I had a roommate one time who was an arborist for the power company. Got to hear all the stories. Now I get to see it first-hand. Very cool. One suggestion I was make is to keep the normal speed on the drops and add the slow-motion afterwards. Thanks for making the videos!
Human that was fucking incredible man! I love the confident ace hit at the end 👍 I’m starting a tree business in Florida and you are an inspiration to me
Keep up the good work, Human! I love your appreciation for your ground crew and your love of the job. Easily one of my favorite creators, so well done brother
I also have tough but exhilarating job and and this man inspires me to start wearing a cam and making content. Another great video. Have a good rest of week fellow humans
I only cut firewood for myself from my woods, never climb. I was watching and think "doesn't he ever pinch on an undercut" and then you did. But you didn't edit it out so you are truly human, Human! Thanks for your video's! Along with Reg Coates too.
2:52 I really hate when that happens to me! And I don't know why, but I just love Sycamores. Their wood is extremely dense and tough, which makes it an excellent climbing tree. I also love the smell of them, though I know I'm the minority on that.
I absolutely hate working with sycamores, I get that shit in my lungs and sinuses if I’m not wearing a mask and when you sweat and get that shit in your shirt and on your skin it’s very irritating.
Cactus camo we have a really big one a couple miles from my house. Every chance I get I drive past it even if I have to go out of my way. It kinda hurts lately because that street has been under construction and I can go down that road right now...
I love sycamores, too. I've been wanting to plant one in my yard and just haven't gotten around to it yet. The one in the video was beautiful. I have to admit it made me sad to see it come down.
Chris Bling if the reason you cut down trees is because you don’t wanna clean up leaves than move to the desert. I have some massive trees in my yard. One with a trunk over 5ft in diameter.
Great video, couple of questions: 1. why SRT up to the top then down to the bottom if the bulk of the branches don't require rigging? Wouldn't you normally just spur up and cut the branches off along the way to save yourself a trip? 2. What's the spiderjack 3 like? How does it compare to the zigzag? Also sidenote, probably need to tighten the chain on the 372.
I went up to set my DRT anchor, not a good idea dropping stuff with a basal anchor, and much more comfy/faster than working from just a flipline "to me at least", also I thought I would have to rig more until I found out the construction guys closed off that little street. I absolutely love the spiderjack 3, though it does take some getting used to with the thumb break, like it a bit more than the zigzag, though I love it as well.
"Bombs Away" was a game me and a group of friends used to play as kids!. We would gather the bags of Dog droppings and go throw them off the roof of a random skyscraper during high foot traffic times until one day we got caught and beaten up within in inch of our lives by someone that was not only watching us but was covered in dog waste at the same time lol!. that's some of the stuff I used to do as a kid that would never even consider doing now!
Great vid brother. love watching them and always a treat seeing the different situations your being put in. Just a heads up its always quicker to cut through the branch going through the same angle the branch is on instead of cutting straight up and down, less travel time for the saw.
im gonna be a firefighter, but i would LOVE to have this job as my backup plan! i love working with chainsaws and ropes and trees and just al out being high up in a tree lmao
I don't know much about trees and wood but that's nice looking wood. Do you guys do anything with it? Be a shame to put the bigger pieces thru a chipper. They probably don't fit anyway.

Why'd you switch to a big saw before you were done brushing the tree out? Something happen to your 200 bar when it got pinched?
Nah, chain just wasn't as sharp as I'd liked, really should have just started with the 372.
Again, at the end, that slow-motion multi-ton behemoth bouncing up & fish-flopping in mid air. So Cool.
What a beautiful syckamore tree,we have a few here in Western Massachusetts that are hundrets of years old.Shame.

the most scary part is when the chainsaw cant turn off stuck on full throttle
The second handle infront of the one he is holding is actually a safety feature that will stop the chain from rotating even at full throttle.
