@@KennysTreeRemoval Nice to see a guy putting up a video who is not a Drama Queen. You just do the job, no f'ing around (not even with gloves). What did that job cost?
Caleb K, do it! Been doing it for six years and I love it. Each day there is always something new to do, new trees of all species, shapes and odds and ends, if you do power line work it can pay you well for the rest of your life if you stick with it. My General Foreman makes 32 an hour and I started at 16 before working up to 20 an hour within a year. Just bought my wife a brand new Kimber 1911 for her birthday and I still have a few bucks leftover for another gun if I wanted.
It does. All you really need is a pickup and trailer, a few caution cones, two or three chainsaws, climbing gear, knowledge of tree species, safety is always first!!!! A Groundsman is always good to have, my Adrian has been running a tree service doing residential work for ten or eleven years, it cost him 2000 dollars to get the ball rolling but once you can get it going, spread the word about your business, and keep the workflow going. You'll be set for life. My advice though is definitely learn your tree species, your notches, knots, especially your climbing knots! Learn how to do the job safely and efficiently every day every time, know the ten safety features of a chainsaw. Also helps to know what kind of poisonous/irritating plants and bugs you might come across too, especially around Poplar and other softwood trees. Perfect material for Bald faced Hornets
Did 6 Poplar trees total today, 4 out of the six all had bald faced hornets in the branches way up. And the hollowed out holes on some trees are a good hiding spot for brown recluse spiders, black widows depending on where you are. I'm im Michigan so we got plenty of browns that hide out in the dead hollow stumps and in little shacks and wood blinds out in the power lines
This could have been done in 2 cuts... it's a big yard, why not just spur half way up witha tag libe on you and have buddy throwballing the tops? Take it in half then drop the peg. Easy peasy lemon squeezy, full removal and clean up would have been 20 min
A job very well done... I'm willing to bet it is edited.. the video footage is sped up!! x 2 would be 12 x 2, 24... About a half hour.. makes more sense to me...and editor and a guy who has taken down many large pine trees

Thinking about getting into this. Homeowner. Looks so scary! Always liked climbing trees though. I'm sure it's not bad with the proper techniques... And TRUST in your equipment
Anyone can do it. The Wesspur climbing kit is great. The dude in the video is free to take whatever risks he wants, but you should have 2 points of attachment when cutting (i.e. a lifeline attached your bridge), because free-falling 40 feet after severing your lanyard sucks. Also never leave sharp nasty stubs to impale yourself if you gaff out.
@@beantown_billy2405 kind of how I was looking at it, having a few points makes things incredibly safer. I was going to hire a few guys and see what they would be willing to answer questions, show me things, techniques, ect.
